Feb 09, 2026Smarmy tactics at the check-in counter
The check-in lady Francis scammed me with an up charge. I arrived at the hotel around 9:30am. Check-in time wasn’t until 4. I asked Francis what the early check in charge was and she told me $51. I told her that I would just leave my bags at the Bell Desk and check in at 4. I had my disabled friend who I have been taking care of for 32 years. Francis asked me if he was my son. I told her no, but that he was like a son to me. I told her that I work with him at a group home for disabled children and once he aged out at 18 he had nowhere to go. I told her that he came home with me and my family and I got legal guardianship over him. She said that I was so kind to do that. Then she said, I’m going to wave the early check in fee and put you in a studio room. I told her that, that was very kind of her and told her thank you. Fast forward to check out. I see an additional charge for the upgrade to the studio room. Francis NEVER MENTIONED A CHARGE ON THE UPGRADE. Very sneaky and scammy. I spoke with the manager and she was very dismissive and said that I signed the contract/agreement and I could dispute it with the credit card company. I that was poor business tactics and that I would never stay or visit there casino again. She then said that’s fine and have a nice day. Unbelievable attitude for a manager. Be aware of this hotel.

Clean rooms, thin walls.
Thin walls. Can hear everything the neighbors say and do. Pricey resort fee and a charge for early check ins. No microwaves

The horseshoe is a great place to stay. They have a brunch for $19.99 the best brunch in Vegas. The room are spacious and comfortable. They have the best drinks while sitting at the slots machines.

The room was fine. We went to get a chicken sandwich and fries and it cost us 64.00 dollars which is outrageous!!! Our room was only 74.00 so tell me how that makes sense???

Great! Would recommend
My overall experience was good. The room was clean, and the hotel is well located in relation to the strip and all fun things. Veronica was great too, made out check in super smooth with some additional tips for cool places to visit. Thank you VERONICA
