Potential fire taken lightly by staff.

Everytime I come to Vegas, if I have an option of stay I choose the horseshoe casino and resort. This time everything was perfect as it usually is, but then on the morning of my check out I was woke up at 4am to my smoke alarm going off. I could see and smell smoke but couldn't locate a fire. I got up, put on my clothes, gathered my belongings and rushed downstairs to let them know of a potential emergency (although I did see that the smoke was white smoke and not black (which is usually the bad smoke). My interaction with the receptionist was less than savory. She calls whoever and their laughing on the phone back and forth, and then she asks me, "you"SEE" smoke"..... I'm like yes, I saw it.... To which she replies "were you smoking in the room?"..... To this I'm extremely baffled, I've never smoked a day in my life..... But that's your response to someone potentially reporting a fire while the fire alarm is going off in their room??? Why would I rush downstairs with all my stuff to report potential danger to everyone from my smoke alarm going off if I was smoking in the room.... Complete nonsense. Definitely changes the way I see the horseshoe now.

Only if it's cheap and you don't mind frustrations for a good location

Had hopes for a much better stay. We usually stay in another area of the strip and wanted to do something difference and the Horseshoe is a great location. Unfortunately, the negatives far outweighed the positives. Positives: Price (off season), location, size of room, room was clean with a small fridge. Negatives: Everything is a 'kiosk' -- you're encouraged to self checkin... instead of speak to a human. If you want A/C or the fan to circulate air in your room, it is so loud it's hard to sleep with it on. There is no free parking, again another kiosk, and it's $25 on weekends. Leaving from the parking garage? Escalator AND adjacent elevator are 'out of order' so be fit enough to haul your luggage up the stairs. Parking is also a 'kiosk' -- pay before you go to your car. Exiting the garage -- the last straw. It's like leaving a huge event with massive lines. Many people didn't prepay at the kiosk and are trying to sort it out as they exit. Allot of people who did prepay are getting error messages and are trying to sort it out as they try to exit. Huge unnecessary traffice jam because the Horseshoe doesn't have a minimum wage employee in the garage exit area to facilitate this huge back up. At the end of the day, we never even spoke to an employee! Check out online was encouraged. Maybe all Caesars properties are like this now, we haven't stayed in the others recently. We left with too many negatives to feel a need to return to the Horseshoe.

Good location to majority event and great view of the Sphere!

The location is a plus, walkable to most majority places (Bellagio garden, Sphere, Venetian (Gondola ride), Caesars hotel (for shows) etc. Nice quiet building and clean room. Needed to have the windows cleaned so guests could view and take pictures of the Sphere better!

    Slightly disappointed

I’ve always been a guest at Bali’s now being Horseshoe I thought it would be great. Front desk “Lucy” was great But the room I thought I was getting I didn’t. Originally standard 2 queen beds but up graded online for $6 to high roller room. 😢 I wanted to show my grandkids, twins age 12 boy & girl a time that they would never forget, being our first time doing anything like this. I brought them to see the Wizard of Oz. Amazing!! Anyway the room had a decent view, but the toilet extremely loud to flush, heater was very noisy, refrigerator didn’t keep things that cold, forget room service sad 😞 TV not the easiest to navigate (my grandkids know). Lastly being our first trip together in Las Vegas we did have fun. They enjoyed the Horseshoe arcades and Ben & Jerry’s 😊 A beautiful memory for us all Sincerely, E. Barton
