Convenient & Friendly Staff
This is the second time I've stayed here and both times my stay has been good. The hotel is clean and conveniently located off I-95. There is not really a restaurant - bar with limited food. But, there are plenty of restaurants nearby. The breakfast is made to order and was good. Hotel staff are friendly.

Overall nice stop
We stayed in Savannah for one night on our way to Florida. We like to stay somewhere right off Route 95 so this was perfect. I usually try to get a Holiday Inn, either the Express or, preferably, a facility with a restaurant. We stayed on a Sunday night, a night of NFL play-offs. We sat in the lobby (with our 70 pound dog) watching the football games. That was a plus. The room was spacious and the bathroom had the shampoo, conditioner, and body lotion that one expects. The bed was comfortable. No complaints about the room. I wasn't able to get on-line with their wifi but I have my own hotspot as I expect everyone does nowadays. It was too cold to use the pool. There is a nice area to sit with one's dog. Check in and out was quick and painless. There is a restaurant and bar inside the facility that isn’t run by the Holiday Inn. It’s called Philly’s Bar & Grill. We ordered supper to take back to the room. We got an order of chicken wings and a burger with ‘steamed vegetables’ instead of the French fries. The vegetables were a dish full of peas, carrots, and green beans. It was ok but when one sees ‘steamed vegetables’, one thinks broccoli, cauliflower, and/or asparagus. In the morning, the restaurant was open for breakfast, to order off their menu. I really enjoy a quick breakfast before we get back on the road. That is not the case here. Breakfast is not provided by the Holiday Inn, not even a muffin, which was disappointing. It is something to weigh for the next time we go through Savannah.

Horrible!
I don’t know if they decided to give us the worst room in the house but our experience doesn’t match those of other reviews. The furnishings in our room are sub standard, worn, dated, chipped paint, stained couch (I cannot sit on it gross). The heating unit is disgustingly dirty. The room smells like fried food. The bathroom vanity seems modern the tub: I’m not sure I can shower in it. It’s like that of a 1950s motel. Old & worn. The lobby seems modern, not upscale but decent. The fitness center seems well equipped. The landscaping outdoors seems to be under construction. I’m just not sure why the management put this platinum elite member such a horrible space. I feel like this place is worse than any holiday inn I’ve stayed at I’m moving back to holiday inn express or another hotel chain. At least my he’d is comfy.

Convenient location but has it’s problems.
Bed was comfortable with plenty of pillows, room was very dark as lighting needs to be upgraded, actually the entire room needs updating as well as the bathroom. Shower is a step in tub which is a safety hazard for an elderly person and is need of repair, faucets were corroded, no drain stopper in sink, door on refrigerator was rusted, a 5 dollar can of spray paint would have taken care of it, no pride in ownership.

Fall Trip to Savannah
Usually one of my favorite places to stay, love Savannah... We stay four times a year and always treated great... 9/28, not so much... Desk clerk must have had a tough day, she did not recognize me as a guest until I asked if I could check in, had to repeat my name twice, asked for ID and never touched it, said nothing of my "silver" membership, said nothing about $50 extra that is always added then deleted from account, slid receipt across counter, slid room key across counter without saying a word. When I reached for a pen, she took her name tag off... Manager came out and was having a word with her... He was by himself at counter after... If I could have gotten another hotel I would have...Very unnecessary for this after driving all day and very uncomfortable as a guest... Everything else was great as usual...
