We recently came back from our trip to Tokyo and stayed at the Hilton. We truly enjoyed our stay here. We were given 5 star treatment. The employees, whom by the way seem to be from all over the world, truly went above and beyond to make our stay special. Each and every one greeted us by name, anytime we encountered one. They were quick to respond to any and all questions we had. The employees at the concierge even showed us on the map how to use the subway and where to go. The location of this hotel was perfect for my son and I. It was centrally located to anything we needed. There is a 7 Eleven, Family Mart, pharmacy, Starbucks, a park, the subway (right downstairs from the hotel), and multiple places to eat if we didn’t want to eat at the hotel. The hotel is in a very quiet area of Shinjuku, which I greatly appreciated, however it was within walking distance of a lot of the stores that we wanted to shop at (25 mins or less). The hotel is located by a police station so we did hear sirens anytime they were going out on an emergency. The hotel is very clean and the rooms are spacious. We stayed in the executive double bed suite, which had an awesome view of the city. Room service came daily like clockwork. I heard the room sizes in Japan, in general are small, however the room we had was comparable to the size of a hotel room in the U.S., which was definitely needed due to our luggage. There was a safe, coffee machine, tea kettle, microwave, desk, chairs, closet, refrigerator, and luggage area. The room we had was filled with waters, sparkling water, coffee, tea, and sodas daily at no extra charge. I don’t know if it’s because of the room we chose. We also had breakfast included. The food selection was wide, although mostly the same each morning, however there was so much to choose from so we never got tired of it. The food from the room service that we did order was good as well. We mainly ate breakfast there but went out to eat in the city throughout the day. They also have a cafe, The Chocolat there, however they are a little pricey, convenient though. They do a great job with their pastries. The bathroom size was good enough for us as well. They have a Dyson blow dryer for use at the hotel, just in case you need one. We met Waly, whom made our stay even more personable. He checked on us daily to make sure that we had everything we needed and more. When I say that he checked with us daily, I mean that literally. He would be busy doing something in the lobby or helping other guests, but would be sure to greet us when he seen us and asked if we needed anything. He always asked if there was anything that he could do to make our stay better. He truly wanted to take care of us. In my opinion that is 5 star service! He assisted us with our transportation to the airport. He was a pleasure to talk to; we got to talk with him on a personal level, like a friend. That was very special. Our stay at this hotel was so amazing that I canceled reservations at the next location I was supposed to be going to at the Cerulean, to extend my stay there. Aisha assisted me with this process and made the process seamless and assured we got to keep our same room. If you are looking for a great hotel, you should consider this hotel.

Fantastic Hotel, great service, convenient location.
Had a great two night stay at the Hilton Tokyo. Hotel was modern and conveniently located in Shinjuku with access to subway directly from the hotel lobby. I was upgraded to an Executive suite as a Diamond member which featured a living room space and spacious bedroom. Had a short stay due to availability that weekend and switched to Hyatt Regency across the street and Hilton was head and shoulders a better hotel. Will 100% return to the Hilton on my next trip to Tokyo.

Another fantastic Hilton property!
2 nights at the end of 9 nights in Japan… as a Diamond, we received a nice upgrade to a very spacious 19th floor Junior suite with fantastic city views. Welcoming us were macarons, sweet bread, a bottle of wine, and a KitKat! The suite had complimentary beer, soda, club soda, and water in the refrigerator. The real winner was the amazing water pressure in the shower! The 37th floor executive lounge had an amazing view of Mount Fuji plus a bountiful evening cocktail buffet and drinks. The ice cream bar was a fun treat! The service was top notch on 37 and throughout the property. We had breakfast on the lobby level where a massive buffet offered just about anything… the made to order egg and omelette station was a standout. We accessed the Maranouchi and Odeo lines underground, albeit a bit of a walk. But it can be handy in the rain. Overall it’s an excellent property and while a bit away from the from the action, the amenities make up for it.

Good hotel, good location.
We had two rooms on higher floor, since all Japanese hotels only allow 2 people in one room, we have our daughter travel with us, so we have to book two rooms. The hotel location is good, not in the crazy part of Shinjuku, about 10 mins walking distance from train station, cost about 700 JPY for taxi. The room is bigger compared to many Japanese hotel, the executive lounge was ok, we choose to have breakfast in main restaurant, food was good 8/10. The hotel was super busy very crowded. overall is a decent stay.

TQM
I was brought up in business on the need for TQM. Getting it right first time. We arrived at the Hilton after a 36 hr journey to be advised that the only room available to us was next to three lift shafts. Not really what you want to hear. Luckily, there were alternative rooms available for an extra charge. Again not what you want to hear. We registered our disappointment but decided that we just wanted to crash out. Next morning after listening to the buzz of the lifts against our bed wall we indicated to reception that we were unhappy with our room. Reception staff were very helpful at this point and arranged for alternative accommodation. This room was perfectly fine. It was kept clean during our stay. The shower wasn't great but it sufficed. Pretty firm mattress and pillows. So whilst not blown away with the room it was ok. We used the concierge service a few times and found them very helpful. We found the location of the hotel pretty good. It's about a 20 min walk to the livelier parts of Shinjuku but that was fine. It always felt very safe. There are a number of restaurants in the area significantly cheaper than the Hilton options. Good connections for the subway underneath the hotel ( few minutes walk) and onward travels throughout Tokyo. Breakfast was very mixed. The service by the staff there was excellent. Very friendly and plates quickly cleared and refills of tea provided. What a difference to some countries with average service and huge tip demands. The cooked breakfast choice, eggs aside was poor. Low carbon sausage and streaky bacon. The omelette station was excellent however. We ended up on the second morning stuck in a corner beside a serving clearing area, with staff squeezing past. With half the restaurant empty. Like rooms next to lifts etc, these sorts of tables should only be used in emergencies and this explained to the customer. One big positive about the Hilton I found was that in raising concers with the management team they quickly look to diffuse the situation and offer solutions. Whilst these issues shouldn't arise in the first place acknowledging our concerns were appreciated. So not quite what we expected from our Hilton trip. But acknowledging again the excellent staff we encountered and the management team involved in resolving our concerns.
