Magical Sydney is not so "Magical"
Service: We stayed for three nights the second week of February. We checked in on a Saturday night and this hotel seemed to be having a lot of events going on. Even though staff was busy, our check-in was handled smoothly and our bags were promptly delivered to our room. Throughout our stay, service was exceptional. Room: We stayed in a King room on an upper floor (22?) that had a partial view of a historic building. The room was quiet and we heard no noise. However, I was very disappointed with what they call our "Magical Sydney" room. There is nothing magical about their "state-of-the-art" lighting system. There are reading lights over the bed and only one our of four was working (not on my side of the bed). The tall lamp with the foot switch did not work. Furthermore, the bathroom light switch is outside the bathroom and has a unique set-up that has tiny small writing on it. If you need to use the restroom in the middle of the night, you have to bring your cell phone over to the switch to see which one is the bathroom light. Then you turn it on from outside the bathroom, which brings a lot of light into the room, waking up your partner. When you are done using the restroom, you have to go back outside and try to find the light switch to it off and use your cell phone light to read the small print on the buttons. Adding to the commotion you make when using the restroom at night is that the bathroom door was super squeaky. The buttons were falling off one of the light switches in the bedroom and we had to put them back on. Also, there was a luggage dresser with drawers and the bottom drawer would not stay shut. General hotel: We purchased the breakfast buffet with our room and it was excellent, as was the service in the restaurant. I think they had just about every option a person could ask for. Although expensive, it was worth it. The location of the hotel was ideal, with a tram that stops right outside the door. We went to the Marble Bar in the basement, a World Heritage site, and it was unique. I would recommend everyone stop in there for a drink during their stay. They had a band playing that I thought was good and it seemed to be a happened place- very busy. I would stay here again, but I would ask that maintenance be performed on the room. We were too busy and did not request that things were fixed. I also would go so far as to ask for a taped sign over the entry/ bathroom light switch so the writing could be seen. Adding a nice plaque over the light switch with larger print or even a dim motion-activated nightlight by the bathroom would be a more "magical" experience.

Amazing Stay at Hilton Sydney!
I stayed at Hilton Sydney while touring with my film team, and it was the perfect choice! The location made it easy to explore the city, and the rooms were spacious, stylish, and incredibly comfortable. The staff went above and beyond to accommodate our team’s needs, ensuring a seamless stay. We loved the fantastic breakfast at Glass Brasserie and the vibrant atmosphere at Marble Bar. Plus, the gym, pool, and spa were great for unwinding after long shoot days. A flawless experience—Hilton Sydney truly delivered, and I can't wait to return!

Wonderful Hotel - Amazing Afternoon Tea
This was a wonderful hotel with a really great location. Check-in went really great. My room wasn't ready when I first got there because I arrived early off of a cruise ship, but there's plenty of ample place to hang. They would store my luggage and gave me a key that I could take a shower and use their Fitness pool area should I want. I enjoyed afternoon tea in the Glass restaurant, an evening appetizer, and a drink in their Marble bar. They are in the CBD, so everything is nice handy and close by. My room was clean comfortable, spacious and there was even a TV in the shower

Chaotic.
A nice hotel with some lovely views, but it’s just way too chaotic with not enough lifts to serve the amount of rooms the hotel has - peak times you wait an age for lifts and they stop at pretty much every floor heading down! It really feels like a business hotel and not very welcoming for holiday makers due to the conferences. 2 separate stays in one week, rooms are spacious, comfy beds, decent bathrooms with bath and shower, robes, Nespresso machine and a filter water tap. No upgrades as a Gold on either stay and no mention of it. Didn’t bother to even submit an e-standby upgrade request as didn’t want to sit in a windowless room in a city with bars with amazing views! Breakfast pretty average…. For a major hotel in a multicultural city the choices were very limited, hardly any Asian inspired dishes. Would I stay again, no. Probably my least favourite Hilton in quite a while.

Excellent in so many ways
Great hotel in a fabulous location with good size rooms and would highly recommend the junior suites as it was spacious and very comfortable. My only criticism of the hotel was in regard to the executive lounge. It is woefully inadequate in size to cope with the volume of guests that qualify for access. On several nights the lounge was full denying qualifying guests entry. I have used Hilton’s worldwide for the last 20 years and this is the first time this has happened. It resulted in guests trying to gain entry well before the free drinks started to ensure entry. I would still highly recommend the hotel but would probably advise against paying for an executive room if the rationale for doing so was to have a free bar for two hours.
