Disappointed. Does not feel like a Hilton
I booked an executive king room and twice they gave me a downgraded room. The first one had a loud banging noise coming from the air con, the second one was a really shabby room. Finally got the room I booked (I paid $2400 for 2 nights as it’s over NYE) and three elevators back onto the full length of my room. The noise from them going up and down is making it impossible to sleep, I’m writing this at 2:30am in frustration. The rooms are nice but very basic, it doesn’t feel at all like a luxury hotel should feel. This was supposed to be the highlight of my holiday, I really wish that I never picked the Hilton.

Hotel in the heart of Sydney
Beautiful hotel in a prime location. We stayed in an Executive suite which was towards the top floor with amazing views. We were arriving from a LAX to SYD flight and were able to check our bags until our room was ready. We had room service a couple of times which was fast, hot and very good. The only downside was the air conditioning was inadequate. The staff tried to fix it but was unsuccessful.

Executive Lounge = Canteen-esque
Currently staying in a Junior Suite with Executive lounge access. The common area refurbishments is beautiful (lift wells and hallways!!). Our room at over $800 on a Saturday night is spacious but basic. Partly refurbed (cheaply as possible) but with basic amenities and basic furniture and dated bathrooms. Cleaning staff are great - thank you. The Executive Lounge (now on level 1 is basic basic basic.cheapest of cheap wines and canapés. The lounge feels like a canteen (all wipe down surfaces, no windows or external outlook and no clearing of glasses, plates etc. The Hilton is trying to be five star through its amenities and offerings but isn’t quite up to standard. It’s K-Mart 5 Star 😢 😩😆

Racist and bad service
Asians please avoid this place. Our family holiday was ruined by a really racist experience which was just brushed aside with a generic email response. The hotel’s great location was let down further by shoddy housekeeping, leaking toilets, faulty blinds and overall thoughtless service. 5 star hotel by definition, but service of a 2 star hotel. Brings shame to the Hilton name.

Par Excellence
Everything was magnificent from check-in to check out during our five-night stay. Customer service was beyond compare from the front desk to the concierge service and all eating establishments on site. The breakfast buffet was amazing as was the Glass Brassiere. I would definitely stay there again.
