Stayed here early this year. Clean & smart room, although very warm & not really anyway to reduce the heating. Breakfast in the morning was your continental breakfast that you get in any hotel nothing special, although they didn't have a great choice of hot drinks. The staff were not really helpful, when asking them for some help in the evening. Rooms: 4 | Service: 2 | Location: 5 Hotel highlights: Quiet, Great value Nearby activities: Pen Museum. Birmingham Museum & Art Gallery. Safety: Next to a main road. The area itself seemed safe. Walkability: Approximately 30 minutes to the centre of Birmingham. Food and drinks: Plenty of restaurants & bars nearby, I would recommend Bhancha Nepalese & Indian Cuisine, on Frederick Street.

This was the best place to go for a shopping weekend and to visit family. Bonus Great staff all smiling and happy Clean facilities Nice rooms Great variety at breakfast esp the waffles! Snacks to purchase at the desk for those late night cravings St Pauls Tram next door to hotel Your not in the noisy city centre so peaceful! Great room Amenities hair dryer, iron, towels, shower gel, cream!!!! Defo would stay again Wishing all the staff an Amazing Xmas!!!

Nice Rooms, Not Nice Area
In the past week I have stayed at both the Hampton Inn Broad Street and the Jewellery Quarter. The rooms were identical however the Jewellery Quarter was substantially cheaper. The rooms are nice, good condition and clean. The main issue is that the showers are not very powerful. The Jewellery Quarter is not a very nice area but it’s only 15 mins or so walk to the centre of Birmingham. The breakfast here was acceptable but Broad Street was better.

Nov 07, 2025Comfortable hotel but the area is rough
This hotel is ok bar and restaurant is just ok! But the room was large clean and tidy, air con working fine. Bathroom again clean tidy and spacious, one small issue? the shower tray filled before it drained! Large 50” tv in bedroom was great. Breakfast full English or continental I had full English! only half was warm rest was cold! Coffee from machine was not very nice. Main issue with the hotel was the area? Outside after dark is not recommended there are plenty of savoury characters.

In recognition of Akua
Stayed here a few times, the central location is perfect. Staff are helpful, must mention Akua on reception who is probably one of the best reception staff I have ever met - so helpful, comical and really brightened our evening with her “rock, paper, scissors” what a star
