Lovely hotel but dodgy area.
Firstly, ignore the directions on 3rd party sites. This is a good 15 min uphill walk from Bulling Birmingham and is in a pretty run down area of Birmingham. The area freaked my sister and I put, and we're hardened Londoners. There is a strange feeling to the area and I wouldn't recommend it toone females. Having said that, the hotel itself is spotless. The staff are lovely and friendly, nothing was too much for them. The room was spotless, quiet and perfect size for two sisters on a girlie weekend. We had an absolute blast! Breakfast is included, and is a hot and cold buffet. Saving £16.50 a head is not to be sniffed at! I would say it's well worth booking, if only they could pick it up a s shift it to a better area, it would be perfect.

A Very Good Weekend Stay
We’ve just returned from a two-night weekend stay at this hotel and were very happy overall. We arrived late on Friday evening and experienced a prompt, efficient check-in by the very friendly Fay. Our room was on the second floor and didn’t offer much of a view beyond the Ye Olde rooftop, but this wasn’t an issue. The room was exactly as expected: spotlessly clean and well equipped with a good-sized TV, kettle with tea and coffee, hairdryer, iron, and ironing board. The bathroom was also clean and tidy, although there were some visible signs of running repairs to the shower cubicle, including a noticeable clump of filler. The only real criticism was that the in-room safe was unusable — either broken or left locked by a previous guest. It wasn’t a major inconvenience, and we mentioned it at reception when checking out. Breakfast was included and offered a good selection of both hot and cold options, setting us up well for the day. The hotel is conveniently located next to St Paul’s tram stop. Birmingham city centre is around a 15-minute walk away, and the tram service is frequent for those who prefer it. Overall, we were very pleased with our stay and would happily consider returning in the future..

A great stay and would definitely return!
What a pleasant surprise this hotel was. Check-in We received a friendly welcome at check in, we had already chosen our room on the third floor via the app which offered great views of Brum. Breakfast and WiFi was explained and up we went to the room. Room The room itself was really well laid out, immaculate and looked brand new. There was a separate small hall area with a sliding door to the bathroom which had a spacious shower and lovely toiletries to use. The bedroom was spacious, however the bed was on the smaller side, the TV was massive though! As it was New Year, a small card and a cookie was on the bed, what a lovely touch! The room was really quiet and we had a great nights sleep! Breakfast Breakfast was busy when we got there, just after 9, but the staff kept clearing tables and restocking food. There was lots of choice. The hot breakfast was great, they also had a waffle maker which was popular. Coffee was really nice but the juices were slightly watery for my taste but overall a great breakfast. Location The hotel is right next to the tram stop St Paul’s so everywhere was so easy to get to. A short 15-20 min walk and you are also in the centre of town.

Hampton by Hilton Birmingham Jewellery Quarter
Stayed here early this year. Clean & smart room, although very warm & not really anyway to reduce the heating. Breakfast in the morning was your continental breakfast that you get in any hotel nothing special, although they didn't have a great choice of hot drinks. The staff were not really helpful, when asking them for some help in the evening. Rooms: 4 | Service: 2 | Location: 5 Hotel highlights: Quiet, Great value Nearby activities: Pen Museum. Birmingham Museum & Art Gallery. Safety: Next to a main road. The area itself seemed safe. Walkability: Approximately 30 minutes to the centre of Birmingham. Food and drinks: Plenty of restaurants & bars nearby, I would recommend Bhancha Nepalese & Indian Cuisine, on Frederick Street.
