    Great family vacation!

    Wonderful family vacation! Rooms are large and modern. The property is beautiful. Pools are so fun for the kids. Staff is very friendly and accommodating. The club was great for light breakfast and snacks through the day. The communication prior to the stay was excellent and they made sure to help us celebrate our kids' birthdays while we were there.

    Perfect experience in Kauai

    Great pools and other activities. We really liked the aqua-fit classes at the Spa pool. The restaurants were excellent, and it was walking distance to Poipu beach. There are also excellent hiking trails for miles starting at Shipwreck beach right at the hotel.

    Tropical paradise with a mix of everything.

    Great resort. It has a mix of family and fun to quiet and secluded. If you are wanting a quiet visit, the suites are the place. The adult pools are also wonderful. You have it all in one location. The spa is also amazing. This resort is great because you look out to the ocean and do not see anything else.

    Lots of fun, a beautiful spot.

    We stayed here for 4 nights in mid-March 2025. A high point is the lovely walk/hike along the adjacent Maha'ulepu Heritage Trail, accessible from Shipwreck Beach in front of the resort. That's a gorgeous walk. The most interesting part is when you head east along the cliffs, but walking to the west is also very nice (and much flatter). In March, if you look carefully, you can sometimes spot whales spouting, or even breaching, offshore. One day there was a massive monk seal on the beach. The hotel staff were very professional and friendly. There's a huge central atrium, and during the day, large exotic birds can be seen there. The view of the ocean is fantastic, and the time around sunrise is very popular with jetlagged folks from mainland US. Not much swimming at the beach, due to huge waves (at least when we were there) but good bodysurfing IF you're comfortable in heavy surf. The breakfast buffet was excellent, and included great fresh fruit and homemade juice shots. For dinner inside the resort, Tidepools was exorbitant and boring, while Stevenson's Library was lively and fun.

    Great anniversary trip!

    The resort is gorgeous and privacy was great. We ate at three of the restaurants, the Seaview Bar, and didn’t have time to visit the others. Amazing pools! We did the luau and it was ok. Entertaining but less traditional than we anticipated. The food was good. The beach is nice but rocky and not really a snorkelers beach. I love that they provided water bottles and dispensers. Lots of things to do nearby but not in walking distance. They have an evening shuttle that goes to Poipu and Koloa, which was great. We loved the lobby and resident parrots! We would definitely go back!
