Dec 14, 2025Average experience. Definitely overrated restaurant
Stayed 2 nights at the hotel as part of my regular business travel and must say that I wasn't impressed at all. Being an airport hotel, close to SFO and with a free shuttle was the decision criteria to choose it, simply because of convenience. The moment you enter the room, you feel tele-transported to 1965, room is large by screaming and shouting for an uplift and renovation....really old in all fronts, very old sofa which doesn't look very clean, old closets full of scratches, very old toilet....room is large and I had a nice view to the bay, but it was anything but inviting. As soon as we arrived, we did head to the restaurant/bar to have something to eat to realize that they didn't have half of the things on the menu so options were not many....interestingly enough, when chatting with the waiter he told us that the previous manager of the restaurant has been recently fired and that because of this it was a big chaos..... Following day, tried to get something to eat at lunch to realize that restaurant opens only in the evening and that there are simply no options to eat nor to buy food there. In summary, not a great experience, and only reason I could potentially return to the hotel it is because of location.

hotel is good view is good but pathetic hotel staff specially staff at reception and at buffet . They are racist and do not treats all nationality equally , very disrespectful and not at all approachable . Hilton is a great property but these staff ruining the experience.

We stayed a night before moving onto other things to see in California. The hotel is nice enough and the room was very comfortable. Friendly staff greeted us and answered all of our questions. The star of the show in my opinion and the real reason for the review is Gabriel bartender extraordinaire! We looked at the menu of cocktaisl and not seeing what we really wanted we asked if he could make us something and he did! Amazing cocktails and stellar service, thanks!

Nightmare!
I don't really post reviews. This is actually my first time writing one. Management suck! They don't care about your customers! Last Friday we booked at this Hotel. We got there at around 7pm. Dead tired and want to just rest for the rest of the night. When Im lying down the bed, my wife just screamed! Long and behold, BED BUG crawling on my shoulder! Caught it and put it in a napkin (still alive) so we called the front desk, saying that manager is already out and they can't do anything until the next morning. All they can do is switch us to a different room with a better view. Next day past, no call or updates. We called on our last day (Sunda) before we checked out. Said that they will call us on Tuesday. And of course, we never heard anything from them! Don't you ever stay at this place!

My 7-night stay turned out to be a surprisingly good experience. I'm not sure why, but I was upgraded to a Bayview room on the 5th floor. Although I was a little disappointed because I booked and reserved a high-floor room through their app, this room 533, is okay. I enjoy every moment when I return from work. The hot breakfast is what I look forward to each day, and the dining area is nice and attractive (though it could be improved, as a four-star hotel with a three-star feel); they cook eggs on the spot quickly and tastefully, and the staff are very friendly and hardworking. It really helps start a new day. I tipped generously at the end of my stay. Just to be clear, this Hilton-branded hotel is good, but be prepared to lower your expectations. Compared to my international experiences, there are still some gaps in their standards. I noticed that the staff cleaning my room have different ways of doing things, and the toilet wall is never properly cleaned. The room layout and furniture are outdated, their pillows are too soft, the TV signal is unstable, and the internet is the worst for any business use, especially on Zoom. I experienced many dropouts during calls due to poor Wi-Fi. Please note that their in-house restaurant is only open in the evening, so if you need food, there are a few good restaurants nearby or you can order from Uber Eats. Overall, the front desk staff are friendly, polite, and helpful. I have no issues with them. On my next trip to San Francisco, I plan to make this hotel my go-to stay—simple for the Bayview and their two excellent nearby restaurants. Key feedback: I noticed an overcharge of $300 US on my credit card; I am unsure when it will be resolved. I am trying to contact their customer service. Kenneth Goh
