Oct 16, 2025Great hotel with an excellent bar & bartender!!!!
We stayed a night before moving onto other things to see in California. The hotel is nice enough and the room was very comfortable. Friendly staff greeted us and answered all of our questions. The star of the show in my opinion and the real reason for the review is Gabriel bartender extraordinaire! We looked at the menu of cocktaisl and not seeing what we really wanted we asked if he could make us something and he did! Amazing cocktails and stellar service, thanks!

I don't really post reviews. This is actually my first time writing one. Management suck! They don't care about your customers! Last Friday we booked at this Hotel. We got there at around 7pm. Dead tired and want to just rest for the rest of the night. When Im lying down the bed, my wife just screamed! Long and behold, BED BUG crawling on my shoulder! Caught it and put it in a napkin (still alive) so we called the front desk, saying that manager is already out and they can't do anything until the next morning. All they can do is switch us to a different room with a better view. Next day past, no call or updates. We called on our last day (Sunda) before we checked out. Said that they will call us on Tuesday. And of course, we never heard anything from them! Don't you ever stay at this place!

My 7-night stay turned out to be a surprisingly good experience. I'm not sure why, but I was upgraded to a Bayview room on the 5th floor. Although I was a little disappointed because I booked and reserved a high-floor room through their app, this room 533, is okay. I enjoy every moment when I return from work. The hot breakfast is what I look forward to each day, and the dining area is nice and attractive (though it could be improved, as a four-star hotel with a three-star feel); they cook eggs on the spot quickly and tastefully, and the staff are very friendly and hardworking. It really helps start a new day. I tipped generously at the end of my stay. Just to be clear, this Hilton-branded hotel is good, but be prepared to lower your expectations. Compared to my international experiences, there are still some gaps in their standards. I noticed that the staff cleaning my room have different ways of doing things, and the toilet wall is never properly cleaned. The room layout and furniture are outdated, their pillows are too soft, the TV signal is unstable, and the internet is the worst for any business use, especially on Zoom. I experienced many dropouts during calls due to poor Wi-Fi. Please note that their in-house restaurant is only open in the evening, so if you need food, there are a few good restaurants nearby or you can order from Uber Eats. Overall, the front desk staff are friendly, polite, and helpful. I have no issues with them. On my next trip to San Francisco, I plan to make this hotel my go-to stay—simple for the Bayview and their two excellent nearby restaurants. Key feedback: I noticed an overcharge of $300 US on my credit card; I am unsure when it will be resolved. I am trying to contact their customer service. Kenneth Goh

Best staycation ever!
We'd like to thank everyone at The Embassy Suites, waterfront for making my mom's birthday memorable. Charissa, Ayse and Sannon were helpful,friendly and accommodating. Michael of the The Tap and Tavern is so attentive and nice. Vilma ( b.fast lady who refills everything) smiles every morning, and acknowledge us even though she's so busy. The Make your own omelet Team ( they have no name tags but all of them) great team work! They're fast, listen to what guests needs and wants. Kudos to all Team Members and keep up the good work!!!

Overall Good Hotel with Some Drawbacks
Overall a nice stay. Location is convenient to SFO and Burlingame. Ample well-lit parking lot right out front. Pluses: Check-in and check-out were both fast and easy and bill was accurate. Friendly and helpful front desk staff. We booked a bay view king with parking included (AAA rate), and they put us on the top [9th] floor with a large 2-room suite featuring north-facing view of SF Bay. Rooms are clean, and housekeeping does a thorough job each day [don’t forget to tip the hardest-working folks in any hotel.] The main room had a couch, large table, microwave, Keurig coffee maker and small fridge. Bedroom had a small closet, large bureau, and small but serviceable desk. Bath is small but clean and well maintained. Breakfast was included in our rate and it was nice: friendly chefs made omelettes to order, good variety of cereals, pastries, breads yogurt, and fresh fruit. Minuses: Soundproofing is remarkably good but if you’re a light sleeper I’d consider another hotel- bay side you’ve got planes on final to SFO most of the day and night. Other side of the property faces 101 an eight lane interstate. HVAC was noisy- I kept setting fan to ‘low’ but it reverted to noisy rattling ‘high’ each time. For some reason our carpet was persistently damp by the main room fridge and sink, under the AC intake. We only noticed it second to last day when we were walking in socks. No obvious source- may have been condensate from AC, but we kept our sliding glass door shut the whole time so who knows? Reported to front desk on checkout. Rooms are a bit dated and at night the bedroom was dark with all lights on. I suspect this property is scheduled for renovation after the nearby Hilton revamp is finished.
