Dec 30, 2024My worst "out of Zurich" experience!
Decent rooms, but the staff is really unbelievable rude!!!!Have never met such a how level staff!!!! Although a Family of four, they didn't offer us two connecting rooms and we had to stay every adult with one Child!!!!!!!!!So, clearly Family unfriendly hotel!!!! Last but not least, my Safe box was blocked and Ms Raquel, who was supposed to be a supervisor declared me by phone that she couldn't do anything to fix the safebox, as no technician was available on Sunday!!!!!!!!!!!! After this i asked her name and she refused to tell me her name (she was obviously ashamed of the way she talked to me)!!!! When I threatened them that if they didn't open the safebox in 10 minutes I would call the police, as i should catch my flight, the safebox was magically opened.You should be ashamed Ms Raquel as your role is to put out the fire, not to mention that you are obliged to tell me your name!!!!!!!!! Generally, the hotel was around 4 km away from the City Centre and Taxi costs 30 CHF! Moreover, this hotel dös not offer Day Tickets for trains, as all others do!!

The Hotel itself was very decked out for the holidays. The staff was very helpful and. friendly. We arrived early and they kept our luggage in a locked room. Hotel room was very nice and clean. And they made the bed and had morning coffee and croissants available. The only two things i didn’t like. One the shower door was only half way covering the shower so water splashed out… (i’m guessing that’s a Swiss thing, never experienced that in the States) and there was no bath fan and the bath sliding door didn’t close all the way, left like quarter inch and didn’t seem private enough. the only other reason for the 4/5 was there was construction across from the hotel and started very early

Very nice place , well located with super friendly staff.Brekfast was really good.Good value for money. As a gym rat I was very pleased with gym facilities, hotels gyms are usually very basic.Here it' s a proper gym. I found very few very good restaurants within walking distance too

Okayish rooms but great customer service
This is my first review, and I was pleasantly surprised by the smooth check-in process after a long 18-hour flight. Tatjana, a friendly and helpful employee, assisted me at the check-in counter. Her dedication to the work and her patience is truly commendable. While the rooms were a bit smaller than my preference, the exceptional customer service made up for any shortcomings.

Nobody likes a cheapskate and the owners of this hotel are just that. Arrival with lots of bags, no one to help, Crowne Plaza Zurich no longer offers a bell boy or concierge. Check in for Diamond Elite. 25 mns due to short staffing according to the overworked staff. No lounge, closed by the owner to save money according to the staff. Upgrades for top tier guests. Nope. Thank you for your loyalty, nope. Room old and basic, pillow cheap foam, discount in restaurant for elite members, nope. Toiletries in room, nope. This is an old hotel with unmotivated overworked staff. I don’t blame them though. Look straight to the management or ownership on this one. I wonder if IHG bothers to audit its hotels? Dated Holiday Inn Express experience for Crowne Plaza pricing. Very disappointing.
