Avoid at all cost
This. Place. Suuuuuuucks. I've been to a lot of resorts, many of them on the lower scale and never have an issue enjoying myself. I'm extremely low maintenance in these situations. However our stay has been plagued with issues (broken AC, cold shower, broken TV, swarm of bugs in the room, no pool towels going on 5 days now) and most importantly, the staff is either completely uninterested or completely unable to help. Every issue they say they are "logging a report" and can't give us any information on when/how/if it will be resolved. We eventually gave up on the front desk and went to guest services for towels and they weren't able to get us any. We've learned this isn't a unique experience...many people we've talked to have had the exact same "logged a report" experience. It seems the corporate strategy is just to hope people give up. I know we have. Even people at the more expensive sister resort (Tropical) have told us the same thing. Definitely stay away..

Travelers beware!
My husband and I went and stayed at Confressi Palm Resort. The room was absolutely horrible. The floor wasn't clean and smelled of mist and mold. Getting around the report was very confusing at first it took us a couple days to figure it out. It didn't help that they had a road blocked off to repair it. We were supposed to be able to have 2 meals from a restraunt not the buffet. Of course we never could get a reservation because t was always full. The buffet was absolutely discusting and very rarely found anything that I could choke down. The next day after we got there we were sleeping and the phone rang in our room. I picked the call and the guy on the other end wanted to pick us up for a "tour" of the resort. We got around and went, he took us to a buffet to eat then over to a building. Surprise you are here for a timeshare presentation not a tour. Thoughout our "tour" I kept asking him the price of the timeshare. He would not give me a direct answer but would keep telling us let's go look at this one. 3 hours later we finally walked out of there. By the way it was going to cost $195000 for the lifetime time share with 61000 dollars down and for the 44 year timeshare it was going to cost us several thousand as well. The financial guy got very mad at us because we kept telling him no. They kept telling us that they would move us to a better room if we took the deal but since we didn't we were treated like the sand on the bottom of our feet. We were supposed to go by shuttle to and from the airport but of course that never happened either. We had to take a taxi both ways. My husband and I made the best of our trip and had a great time but it was no thanks to the resort we figured it out ourselves. To buy sueveneirs do not buy them from the confessi palm gift shops because they over charge you. Go get them from the Tropicana gift shop it is much cheaper. We called the place who booked our reservations and told them to please not send anyone to this resort ever again. DONT go to this resort. There were several of us in the same situation as us.

Do not recommend
Bad Everyone I came with got food poisoning- you aren’t allowed to take food from the buffet back to sick people in rooms without doing paperwork to get a container( they didn’t even let us have one). Guest services hung up when asking questions due to sickness. Maids walked in without knocking. There are HARDLY ANY PLACES TO SIT. This place is also not a good fit for anyone who has mobility problems (you take at least 2-4 flights of stairs to get to the pool, depending on where u are it is more, steep hills, uneven paths etc). Beach has maybe 12 chairs and pool chairs are filled by 8am. The frost pool had a total of 8 chairs…. Food was often very cold. Would absolutely not recommend

Wouldn’t recommend…
Horrible experience I would not recommend…. We had food poisoning from their food and they made us fill out paper work to be able to get take out containers to our room 2 hours later… They were very rude and hung up when we asked for take out containers… The food was always cold not fresh. Our remote was not working, I asked them for batteries for our remote on our second day and they never came. They didn’t come clean our room when there was glass on the floor for the rest of the trip. Everyone I came with was sick and people we ran into had also been sick and heard of many other people being sick.

Very Disappointing Stay – Poor Maintenance and No Response
We recently stayed at Cofresi Palm Beach & Spa Resort in Puerto Plata March7-14 and unfortunately our experience was very disappointing. From the start, the condition of our room was not what we expected from an all-inclusive resort, and it did not appear to match the “superior room” that was advertised at the time of booking. We experienced several issues throughout our stay, including a bathroom sink that leaked water all over the floor every time it was used. We reported this issue twice, and although we were told maintenance would come, no one ever did and the problem was never fixed. There were also ants in the bathroom, a lamp that did not work, stained curtains, and a broken chair on the patio. These issues raised concerns about both cleanliness and overall room maintenance. What was most concerning, however, was the lack of respect for privacy. On multiple occasions we had the “Do Not Disturb” sign clearly displayed on our door, yet staff still entered the room. This is completely unacceptable. When we brought the leaking sink to Guest Services and asked what could be done due to the inconvenience, we were told that “nothing” would be done and that maintenance would be sent—which never happened. Overall, the lack of follow-through, poor room condition, and dismissive response from staff made this a very frustrating experience. We have since contacted both the resort and Sunwing Vacations regarding these concerns and are currently awaiting a response. We hope management takes this feedback seriously and improves both maintenance and customer service for future guests.
