A home from home experience!
We have visited this hotel many times over the years, and every trip leaves us wanting to return. The stunning sea views from your balcony are a picture and we have even seen dolphins while taking in the views. From the moment we arrive, we’re always made to feel so welcome by the staff, who go above and beyond. A special mention to Mikel Lopes the lead concierge who is always in the lobby with a warm smile, ready to offer helpful tips on the best places to visit both in the local area and within the hotel itself. His attentiveness and genuine care for the guest experience make such a difference, and he truly goes the extra mile to make every stay for us unforgettable. Another standout member of the team is Mike Martino, who ensures that the food and beverages at the hotel are always of the highest standard. The service from him and his team makes you feel right at home, with fantastic recommendations on the best refreshments and food the hotel has to offer. The Watercolour Restaurant is a must-visit for both breakfast and dinner, offering fabulous sea views as you dine. The seafood and cocktails in the evening are always my go-to! You also can’t miss the cocktails by the pool either, it’s the perfect pairing as you relax in the sun. We are looking for forward to booking our next stay here.

Rundown place with poor service
It’s rundown resorts with poor service. I stayed3 nights there. Room service for cleaning never came though we requested by phone and at the counter. I paid for resorts fees though they charged me again which they removed later. Showers and toilets were not well. You have to flush 3 times. Water was not in good force. Main door had a leak and lots of noise of wind was coming. I wished I could have stayed at grand Hyatt at Clearwater beach as my friends had recommended me but I chose this one

Wonderful few days at Marriott Sand Key
Great location and comfy rooms. We spent a few days here in late December 2024. This was our first stay. We enjoyed the area, the Sand Key Beach across the street is perfect! We enjoyed meeting the parrot in the lobby. If we return to the area, we would not hesitate to stay here again.

Birthday stay was fantastic!
As a Marriott fan, I had high hopes for this hotel. It absolutely exceeded my expectations. Dare I say it might be my favorite Marriott thus far? My husband and I went for my birthday for the night. From arrival to departure everything was spot on. The hotel is located on the bay not beachfront but that’s not necessarily a bad thing. The bay is beautiful and lively. So fun to watch the water activities. The valets were friendly and helpful. I forget my yeti shortly after they took our car and the valet whipped back around and gave me the yeti. The room was spotless, updated, and well layed out. The balcony view was to die for. We headed to the outdoor bar/restaurant overlooking the bay and pool. I will say the service was slow at first- but in their defense- I don’t think they had enough staff. They were all very friendly but you could tell they were stressed and trying to hide it. Lunch was served quick and tasty. We met sooo many cool people staying there and the vibe/energy was off the charts. We had a nightcap at the indoor restaurant which was great. Met more awesome peeps. Slept like a baby in the comfy bed. Breakfast buffet was delish. Eric our server was a sweetie pie. As we sadly left, once again the bellmen and valets were fun and efficient. Stay here - or don’t- then more room for me cuz I’m going back in March. kudos to all staff/mangers for recharging my life battery.

Front desk issue
The only real issue was when checking out, the lady at the front desk was rude and argumentative over the resort charge, which was included with our package, she kept telling me it was right and after 15 minutes of me showing her that it wasn’t right she finally agreed with me, but did not apologize for her mistake. All she had to do is say sorry about the confusion on her part! Ask for a manager!
