    Worst hotel stay ever!

Badly understaffed. Nothing in the hotel worked and wasn't fixed during the two nights I was there. Keys were a nightmare, but worst of all my belongings were removed from the room and put in a garbage bag due to a mixup on how many nights I was staying. There are too many options in this area to use this hotel!

    Thumbs Way Down

I booked this hotel for my first trip to Denver to see my first Denver Broncos game in Denver. This trip was a long-time bucket list item for me. The ONLY negative about the entire trip was this hotel. Let me share the good first before I get into the bad & Ugly. There are several dining options within walking distance of the hotel. That's it. That's the good. Now for the bad. I paid $50 for early check-in (11 am). My son and I arrived at the hotel at approximately 9-9:30 am. Understanding that we were there early, I went to the front desk and was told our room wouldn't be ready until at least 1:00 pm. When asked about the $50 early check-in, I was told that it was not "guaranteed". So why offer that option to guest if you can't honor it? So, we waited for 4 or 5 hours in the hotel lobby until our room was ready. While waiting, we were at least entertained by the lobby TV....until the staff inexplicably turned it off. When i asked if it could be turned on, all I got was a "no". When we got to our room, 2 lamps weren't working, the remote to the TV didn't fully work, the pillows on the bed are couch pillows; small, square and incredibly uncomfortable. I was told that someone would be up to attend to these issues. No one ever came. I didn't push the issue because thus far, service had shown le they weren't interested in assisting guest. For example: on one of several trips to the front counter, I stood waiting while employees laughed & talked. Let's end with the ugly. As I turned on the water for my shower, a roach fell onto my hand then into the tub and down the drain. There was no no-slip bath mat in the tub and I nearly fell getting into a slick, wet tub. The lamps not working were extremely bothersome as I am visually impaired & need plenty of light to safely navigate a room. DO NOT consider this particular hotel for your stay while in Denver. If you're traveling for work & this hotel is booked for you, immediately request another hotel. I sincerely hate leaving a review like this because it could affect someone's livelihood. However, on the flip side, if this is their livelihood they need these type of honest reviews to fix the issues to ensure they continue to do well.

A good hotel for a regular budget

The check-in process was smooth. I reached the hotel at 11 a.m. and the staff helped take care of my suitcase while I went to downtown Denver for a visit. The breakfast was fine, and the staff were always friendly. One bonus thing I found out was the breakfast coffee is available at all times and kept warm if you'd like to have it during the day. You just have to go and pour it yourself.

Do not book a Wyndham hotel.

An error was made during booking which booked the day of booking not the reservation day. I tried to contact the hotel but the phone system kept me on a loop then disconnected. After several tries I reached a person who told me he could not help me with the problem and to contact customer care. I called customer care which told me it was a problem that needed to be corrected by the hotel reservation desk. The customer care agent tried multiple times to reach the hotel desk but was unsuccessful. He opened a file and said someone would contact me in a week! I tried again the next day to contact the hotel directly and Mary, a person at the reservation desk was most unpleasant and unwilling to do anything. Mary said I should have called the day before, which I told her I did. She continued to argue with me and said I did not try to call. I asked for her manager and she said the manager was in a meeting. I asked to have her manager call me and she said the manager did not speak with guests. At this point I filed a dispute with my credit card company. Needless to say, I will not be staying at any Wyndham hotels in the future.

    Good food and drink...

The food at the in-house restaurant and for the banquets was excellent. A rate treat for someone who has eaten a fair share of rubber chicken. The property is clean and well-maintained with lots of gathering spaces for large groups. Overall, a very satisfying 4 day stay.
