Awful Hotel in need of major updates!
Awful hotel ! Security everywhere …door cards do not work , my room smelt of smoke and weed. Next morning found a cockroach in my room , no hot water at peak times , air does not stop so no temperature control . Had to call 3 times as my hair dryer did not work for them to bring a new one . Hotel in need of major refurbishing! Do not stay here !

Shabby Marriott Marquis
It is almost 1:00 am and I have once again been woken by the party in the Atrium. This hotel has no soundproofing, and the rooms encircle a large open space. All noise carries, and when there is a noisy gathering, forget sleeping. This is the 2nd night this has occurred. I'm checking out tomorrow. For a Marriott Marquis, the rooms are over priced as they are shabby. The carpets are worn and torn, the bathrooms are very dated. Make sure to pack whatever you need as there are no amenities. There is temperature control. However, it does nothing other than make a lot of noise. This hotel is cold throughout. The acoustics in the meeting rooms are poor and wonky. There is no wifi once you leave your room. The inroom wifi is free IF you are a Rewards member. If not, it is pricey. The staff are friendly and helpful despite being harried.

AMAZING Experience
EXCELLENT customer service by Pam. Beautiful, clean and comfortable property. My room was AMAZING! Nice sitting area with floor to ceiling views. I was in town for a military convention and had a really bad experience across the street. I was exhausted and Pam really did go out of her way to turn my visit around. The bed was very comfortable and loved the space to relax. We enjoyed the breakfast at the restaurant on site. Just WOW! Lots of options and really good food. Highly recommend and would love to stay again!

Don't be fool by name "Marriott Marquis"
While the personnel were kind and courteous, the hotel itself is in desperate need of renovation. Unfortunately, the name "Marriott Marquis" is misleading—it felt more like a 2-star hotel at best. The carpets were noticeably dirty, and the furniture was worn and outdated. The concierge level was especially disappointing, falling far below expectations. Overall, my experience was underwhelming, and I would not recommend staying here. It was a letdown, to say the least.

Do not stay here if you require any ADA accommodations. They will not honor!
We booked an ADA room with a rolling shower. I confirmed it via chat 24 hours in advance that the request would be honored. When we got to the room, we found that we did not have a roll in shower. We had a tub. This prohibits us from being able to transfer our daughter from her power wheelchair into the shower. Not only that, but there was no mirror in the bathroom and there are exposed wires.
