  Amazing lobby but not good beds

  This is a beautiful hotel centrally located in downtown Atlanta . Its amazing lobby is impressive . During this Thanksgiving weekend it was very quiet , not many customers . The city was dead everywhere . The rooms are ok , the double beds are terrible . Not even queen sizes they are full sizes , uncomfortable . The room in general was just ok , bathroom was outdated totally . Location is excellent but not good to walk around much , specially at night time . Very unsafe . Food at the restaurant was delicious , drinks as well . Valet parking toooo much , $67 plus tax per night . No other option available . Service was good in all areas . At the 47th floor views were very nice . Concierge lounge closed all 4 days of my stay , not good . Nothing special for high level members , not good .

  Decent hotel with delicious burger.

  This hotel was a strong 3 star hotel. While the room was very clean, it was not as updated as I was expecting; especially the shower. The staff was very accommodating and the burger I had was delicious.,

  Modern room and impressive lobby & atrium

  Stayed here for one night on a quick visit to Atlanta - this hotel is in an excellent central location and walkable to most areas of downtown. The hotel lobby is very impressive, with a huge atrium that spans the whole height of the building (with room doors opening out onto corridors that overlook the atrium - don't book if you have vertigo!). The room was more modern than I had expected, and was modernized. I had a view overlooking the city skyline and despite being a convention hotel I had a very quiet nights sleep. I would definitely stay here again if ever come back to Atlanta.

  3 star for a reason

  This hotel has a nice looking lobby, but it ends there. The reception desk told me they couldn’t find my membership under the email I gave…yet it was correct. The first impression off the elevator leaves a lot to be desired. But it gets better. Walk in the room and there is literally only one wall switch outside of the bathroom. You have to stumble feeling your way around to find lamp switches, some of which are nearly impossible to reach. The carpet is dirty and worn. The window opens to nothing but an exterior wall. The faucet drips. The room smells like asewer in the morning. And it seems you can only request a late check out when it’s too late to matter. Oh…and the bartender slopped half of my glass of wine out without caring at all. If I have a choice in the future, it won’t be Marriott, and certainly not THIS Marriott.

  Centrally located but might come with hair in the room.

  The price and outside appearance were everything along with the location. Centrally located near everything. The hotel is old and definitely could use a few upgrades. There were issues with the elevators. Hair was on the bed, the bath linens, and even on the toilet. The hotel staff were very friendly and helpful. The restaurant had decent food, and staying open till midnight was a plus. I’d give it a 6 out of 10.
