Room in the middle of a construction zone
We were assigned a room on the 11th floor. The room which the front desk clerk told us was a nice room (room 1121), was the first room off the elevator. Never a room you'd want to be assigned under normal circumstances, however little did we know that the 11th floor was the construction staging area for the elevator repair. Stepping off the elevator, we were greeted with an enormous box of rubbish, a huge hole in the ceiling and caution panels. When we left in the morning there were already men working on the repairs and when we returned in the evening, the elevator door was left open - which seems like a huge safety violation. When I went to take a shower the night we checked in, I realized there were no bath towels provided. We almost felt like no one knew people would be staying in a room with such an awful location and conditions. We booked a club room only to be told at check in that the club room was being renovated. The included breakfast in the restaurant was very good, but crowded. However, the room assigned as the club room was small and not conducive either to relaxing or working. Had we known this in advance, we most likely would have stayed elsewhere. Though we are loyal Marriott Bonvoy members, the conditions of this stay were not up to the usual standards of your brand.

A must stay hotel with excellent staff
It all began with an outstanding location in the museum quarter. Not only close to the prominent museums but also the shopping g area which housed leading brands, cafes and restaurants. The staff is extremely warm and accommodating and makes one feel at home. The concierge counter is manned by "magicians" who don't seem to say no to anything and can achieve the impossible. I misplaced my prescription medicines and they promptly arranged for a prescription and found a pharmacy from where I could get them urgently inspite of most shops being closed on a Sunday. They even managed to get me entrance tickets to the Van Gogh museum which was showing full - online. I call out Olga and Johan for making all this possible and more.

Great stay!
Had a great stay at the hotel, thanks to the hospital of Ms. iseu. A wonderful hostess for the M club lounge. Time just flew by talking to her. It's great when hotels hire such dynamic people! Elsewise, the place is located at the central location, making visiting places very accessible!. Kudos

Great location but not what we expected
This Marriott was the third one of our trip. We had two great concierge experiences but the room and upgrade were only average and a disappointment. Our room was cold and we were told (in October!) that the heat had not been turned on yet. They brought us a Dyson space heater which helped. I had paid for an upgrade to include the buffet breakfast, an "executive" room and access to the M Club. The breakfast was excellent each morning, lots of choices and friendly staff. The room was not what I would consider "executive" especially since our rooms at the Marriott in Brussels and in Gent were not considered executive and they were much bigger and better equipped. This room was smaller, housekeeping did not replace the glasses or the two bottles of water after the first day. This hotel is going through renovations and I hope they resolve the problem of one elevator being out of service and one of the other elevators not allowing more than four people in! I have never had that situation especially when the elevator was plenty big to accommodate more than four and with one elevator closed down, it was not convenient to wait as long as we did. The M Club had great food each evening but the area was small and cramped (I hope the renovation resolves this). Service did not begin until 5:30 and there was a very assertive employee that barked at anyone who tried to take food or drinks if it was not exactly 5:30. The M Club card also mentioned that there was an "open bar" available until 9:30 but the wine was removed with no other liquor other than the beer in the refrigerator. This hotel is very convenient to the museums, restaurants and the Grand Place. However, it was not the same excellent experience we had in the Brussels or Gent Marriott.

Thank you!
Louis our bellman was unbelievable! From the moment we arrived until the moment we left! He gave great recommendations for free time around business travel and ensured my family was well taken care of. Thank you for your hospitality! Too short of stay!
