Very pleasant stay
I stayed 2 nights at the hotel on the 9th floor. It was very quiet, comfortable, and in a really great location. I have stayed at 6 different Marriott locations in Amsterdam and this location was the best! The workout room was very well equipped and was an interesting setup!

Great for families!
Obsessed with this hotel and the staff. We were traveling with our family of 6 and they were so accommodating even at almost 11pm when our train got in late. First class service all the way. They were so kind to book a private canal cruise for us and also got us dinner reservations at a wonderful restaurant. Our rooms were HUGE as we requested a family suite - having a large family we always find it difficult to have enough room for all of us when we travel. Very few hotels offer a family suite. We had a perfect view of the city from our enormous main room and then had extra room in our adjoining room also with a beautiful view and a balcony. This hotel is in the heart of the city and makes walking everywhere super easy. We would come back and stay here again and again. Thanks for a great time!!

Excellent Carly! A hospitable Gracious Host
I was pleasantly surprised by Carly’s follow-up call regarding my request, as such gestures are quite rare. It showed that she genuinely remembered my request and took the initiative to ensure it was fulfilled. Her effort made it feel very personalized and thoughtful. Please ensure that this diligent talent is recognized for her thoughtful touch, which made a huge difference to the guest experience.

Poor experience and hotel is under construction so not the cleanest
My stay was poor at best, I had a confirmed reservation with Amex which the hotel said they did not have but Amex said was confirmed and of course they couldn't find me a room until I rebooked on their app for another 100 euros per night. Both sides still claim the other was at fault but if you can find a room online and the customer has a confirmed reservation in their hands that they can show you then you work on it together to resolve the situation. Instead I was left to go rebook myself on the marriott app and only then could i get a room. When I eventually did check in (90mins later) I got a room with dirty floors, no heating which to be fair they resolved with blow out Dyson heater but for over 400 euros per night I don't expect to use a fan heater and to have to call and ask for someone to clean the bathroom floors before i used it. I will say it was a very busy week for conferences in amsterdam so the housekeeping staff were likely just very busy. The staff in the breakfast room were lovely as was the concierge, I'd suggest maybe you move them to reception so there's a warmer and more helpful atmosphere for the hotel. The hotel is also under construction so I nearly fell over a pile of cables in the downstairs toilet in lobby, genuinely it was like Fawlty towers, I just can't understand where the management of this hotel were hiding to deliver such a poor experience, not to mention the health and safety risk. After I checked out and returned home I got charged a different amount on my card to the bill they gave me at check out only to find they'd forgotten the taxes, that was fine but then I was told I would have to email and request a new one which again speaks to the culture of the hotel. If you make an error fix it for the customer don't make them do the work.

Great Stay in Amsterdam!
Arrived smoothly with excellent service from the doorman who handled our family luggage efficiently. The reception was efficient despite being busy, and we appreciated the complimentary water bottles during check-in. Our Junior Suite was spacious, clean, and equipped with a roll-up bed perfect for our teenager. Though soundproofing to the corridor could use improvement, the room remained quiet otherwise. Breakfast in the lounge was adequate, though the background music was a bit loud for our taste. Location was ideal, and the staff were warm and attentive throughout our stay. Highly recommend this hotel for a family visit to Amsterdam! 😊
