  Lame

  This place is complete annoying. They wouldn’t let me see a menu in my room after I’d driven nine hours (I have a lot of migraine food triggers, and I didn’t want to waste half an hour going down there if there was nothing but, you know, bar food on the menu), so I said I wouldn’t give them any more money if they had to be unreasonable. The rooms are all right but nothing special. Parking is ridiculous. You have to valet, which means you can’t get back to your car while you’re there. We’d have been better off at a Holiday Inn. I will admit that they have a pretty cool-looking music player thing (I doubt it sounds good), but it doesn’t work with anything but an aux cord or Bluetooth, and I can’t get it to turn on. The TV is also appears better than a Holiday Inn, but I’m still working on working it.

  Disappointing

  While the hotel has a good location, they are really cheap about what you get for 300 plus a night. Loud air conditioning Alarm clock goes off a 4 am You’d think by now Marriott would know how to make a bed by now but, but they use all these sheets that come all apart, and it’s tucked so tight the bedding only reaches your chest. In room coffee tasted crappy No bikes available Food choices poor, don’t plan on breakfast Pool wasn’t warm Can hear the person in the next room coughing. Every other day housekeeping.

  Awful.

  I was aware that the hotel would be modern and minimalist but the reality was that the place is stark and municipal and the newly renovated room I was given was dirty. The air conditioner unit was extremely noisy and I was woken up at 2 am by drunks in the corridor. The breakfast menu has a handful of unappetising microwaved items and really poor quality. Aloft is not a boutique hotel . It is a sub standard motel and my night there ruined the start of my vacation. The ice bucket in my room represented the hotels style perfectly; cheap and tacky with a rusty screw on the bottom. But the management seemed shocked that I was unhappy. Pleas think carefully before booking here.

  Great hotel for comfort and location.

  This was our first time at an Aloft property as well as staying in Sarasota. We found the hotel to be very clean and comfortable and its location is excellent. Only a walk away from the waterfront where there is a nice park and also an easy walk to many different restaurants.

  Arthur the bartender is this hotels secret weapon.

  Stayed at this hotel on a business trip. Room was very spacious,quiet and bed was comfy. Best part of the hotel was Arthur, the bartender . He was GREAT! Very nice and accommodating. The live music was a pleasant surprise. The musician was excellent.
