Jill & Jason went out of their way to help me with a delicate situation I will return bc of them I also appreciate I got a late check out . The room was nice and COLD. AC worked very well . We also enjoyed the pool area & the proximity to the downtown scene .

The hotels location is great. Right in downtown. Short walk to the marina. Short walk to lots of shopping and dining, or grocery store. A few blocks from the free trolley over to lido beach. The location can’t be beat. The room was clean and spacious. Hotel staff were very nice. Loved the way they used the space. The only mild negative is that you have to valet park, for $22 a night. So if you’re driving you have to figure that into the price of staying there.

Great location
This was our first time in Sarasota and our first time stay at an aloft hotel. We enjoyed both very much. The hotel was very modern looking. The room was small, but we weren’t in it that much. This hotel was in a perfect location. We were able to walk to Owen’s fish camp for dinner and then to Corona Cigar after dinner. Would recommend this hotel.

May 17, 2024WOULD NOT RECOMMEND!
I didn’t get the room that I paid for. I paid for a room with city view and ended up getting a room on the fourth floor with garage and canopy roof view. When I asked front desk for the room that we paid for, we were told sorry we are sold out so there are no rooms available with city view. So we decided to cancel our reservation but then we were charged $299 for cancellation and the gentlemen at front desk told us if he won’t charge us he will get in trouble by management. We came back when assistant manager was in and talked to her. She was not friendly and made it seem like we are stupid and don’t know what city view is. She told us that our room window was facing the city and that’s what city view means, it doesn’t mean you will see the city but it will face the city. I asked is this a joke, then she said no. So i then try calling general manager left voice mail i even email him but no respond. They don’t care about customers satisfaction all they need is your money. So if you trying to get a hotel with city view, then avoid this hotel for sure because you will be disappointed and your vacation could be ruined by this hotel and their management.

Not a good start. Thought I would try a "hip" place with a great location in Sarasota for a business trip. First, no acknowledgement of gold elite. Maybe that wasn't good enough. Second, I didn't know there was only cleaning every other day. Couldn't even be guaranteed cleaning upon request per the front desk team member but he said he will try. I think Motel 6 cleans your room each day if you ask. Then, there was no internet, at least not in the inside of the room on the seventh floor. It did connect for a few minutes in the bathroom which backs up against the hallway, but that's not where I wanted to have to spend my time just to be connected to what came up as an insecure internet connection. Again, the front desk team said that the service comes and goes. Isn't this what you want to hear for $300+ per night? The truth is it deserves no stars, but the gym looks great and I am hoping it gets better. If not, I will respectfully ask for a refund.
