    Zoëtry Paraiso de la Bonita Jan ‘23, Another awesome stay!

    Another amazing stay! We thoroughly enjoy visiting this resort. The people who work here are phenomenal and definitely influence our decision to return here. They are working diligently to improve all aspects of the resort. We watched them testing out new sushi dishes, we saw new items on the menus, they’ve now added Italian night and also continue with Mexican night (KILLER black al pastor(?) tacos.) The Entertainment department, Daniel, always helps us become better people. His Yoga sessions are awesome and helped change my life. We have common interests and always learn something new from him. We participated in the Temazcal ceremony based on his description of it and we’re grateful to have experienced it. We also enjoyed an excellent hydro therapy session with Rosario. They are updating blocks of rooms, hopefully not changing the style. The pool was warm & clean. The beach had trace amounts of seaweed that was cleaned up quickly. Ocean water was very nice. The drinks were very good. The food was outstanding. I know we’ll miss someone (sorry,) but here are the majority of the people who took great care of us: Luis H.     Relaxing trip

    After reading the great and not so great reviews we were nervous about going. I'm glad we went and we had a great 5 night stay. We booked a suite with a plunge pool, very nice and large. Plunge pool wasn't as private as I thought it would be, but that was fine as we spent most of the time on the beach and then the pool. Food was great, it was a bit disappointing about some restaurants not being open on certain nights, but it happens. Service on the beach and pool was great. We would order lunch and snacks from both spots as it was more convenient and it was the same food you could order from all restaurants open at the time. There were more kids than I expected but that was fine too as we were able to relax in whatever spot we chose for the day. All staff members were very nice and always made sure we were set- I'm not gonna start listing their names as I'm sure I'll forget a couple!! It was also nice seeing the hotel managers walking around asking the guest how everything was going and if there were any issues with our stay. Some reviews mentioned the seaweed, you can't control what mother nature does and they did their best to keep the beach clean. We did walk to the south and those resorts didn't keep the beaches as clean Very little seaweed the first couple days and then the wind started and eventually a pretty good storm moved in which made the seaweed worse, didn't stop us from enjoying the chairs on the beach. Overall stay was what we needed, nice and relaxing. We were certainly sad to leave!

    Always love this quiet retreat!

    We stayed here for a weekend before we transferred further South to meet friends. This is always a favorite property of mine, with a lovely staff and quiet vibe. I read review after review complaining about kids, but this is NOT an adult only property and not advertised too be. While you won't see a ton of kids, you will most likely see some, especially young ones, as there is no kids club or kids' menus. We had a lovely weekend with great service and food. I love the pool service with the menus. We really wanted to nothing. I will say we had a broken air conditioning unit in our room and kept being told it was fixed, which it wasn't -- but, only to be asked to move on our last evening which we decided against at 11pm. I wish we wouldn't have been given the run around. We are coming back again in February, and hopefully no room issues. We look forward to our future visit.

    A Wonderful Low-Key Resort with an Excellent Staff

    My wife and I booked this trip on the spur of the moment and were very happy that we did! This Zoetry resort was the perfect quiet low-key getaway we wanted; sort of a cross between Miraval and a Four Seasons. The grounds are beautiful and the entire staff is excellent. There is only one pool but we never had a problem getting lounge chairs. Daniel, the main poolside contact, is wonderful. He conducts the Yoga, Tai Chi, Sound Therapy, and Water Aerobics classes with no hard-sell. He also coordinates the musicians which range from a cellist or harpist at breakfast, a violinist by the poolside bar in the afternoon, and possibly the most talented Mariachi duo I have ever experienced who entertain during dinner hours. A gentleman named Donovan was our guide to dining. He, along with his passionate Chef, Marcellino, made sure that my wife’s onion allergy was never an issue and the food was fantastic. Marcellino’s soup preps were outstanding! We also love the fact that we were able to order food and snacks poolside, something a lot of all-inclusive resorts do not offer. The poolside staff is wonderful and attentive. I would also like to thank Gabriel the Sommelier, Reynaldo, Luis, Tirca, Enrique, Estaban, and all the staff for making our stay so enjoyable.

    Paradiso far from paradise

    This aging 5 Diamond resort is in need of a makeover. Paint beginning to peel on buildings ,a severe shortage of employees and a failure of management to properly train its employees is only the tip of the iceberg in our 10 day stay that continues to frustrate us. With only 2 restaurants open expect the same menu from La Canoe every night. They advertise 3 restaurants but then one finds out one restaurant ( Dragon) is an extra charge for dinner. Room service on their app worked one morning out of three. When calling room service, no one answers. I was especially angered when having lunch at La Chingica we asked to move 15 feet out of sun for a friend who recently had skin cancer surgery and despite having only 2 tables occupied the man in charge of the restaurant flat out refused to serve us. There is no feeling of being treated special in this resort and it appears Hyatt Corp is running this hotel on the cheap ie: minuscule entrée portions, untrained restaurant staff employees. The Hyatt app doesn’t have restaurants menus plus major interruptions in internet service was frustrating for over 2 days. I truly feel employees want to give good service BUT are stifled by upper management. It would be so nice if they just did some random nice things like replenish fresh apples in rooms or some snacks in minibar fridge. This resort advertises adult resort and we were subjected to screaming baby all day at pool. For what they charge they need to do a far better job. Pretty property but run down and tired management team.
