May 28, 2023Great food, beaches & staff but nasty front desk and administration.
The Good. The beaches are amazing, lined with palm trees and sand that is solid and really easy to walk on. The Wyndham food is fantastic with great variety. Not bland like the Mexican all inclusive's. Transportation is easy. Taxis, buses and scooters. Hector & Mendoza were the only great concierges/front desk staff who spoke English and were not clueless. Ask for them if you want things done and want some straight answers. The Bad. We only got out one day paddleboarding because of the rough water. If you can get through the shore break kayaking is easier. The theater shows are 2 star. Wi-fi is extremely spotty. Water is like Mexico. Lots of people with GI/diarrhea problems. Most people-taxi drivers, shops etc. will try and rip you off or escalate the price. The Ugly. The FRONT DESK. HORRIBLE PEOPLE who barely speak any English. They will tell you they are going to do something, and they don’t. Upon check in they tried to rip us off for the USA$2 per day for the safe. They also grabbed my Visa and walked away into another room despite me yelling to keep my card in my sightline. Despite countless contacts asking for a quiet room, we were put us in the absolutely noisiest room in the resort in building #3 which has the disco blaring until 3am, the theater and the central lobby where everyone walks through. NOISY ALL DAY. The coffee bar will be playing loud music first thing then at 9:30 am the blaring horrible music on very poor-quality speakers begins and does not end until dark. SUPER DANGEROUS RIP-TIDES/CURRENTS!!! Yellow or red flags are up every day! Very heavy-duty shore break which can be fun but if you get behind it or it takes you out you may be dead if you panic or are a weak swimmer. Like most riptides ,rarely will it suck you down-it will pull you straight out from shore and then parallel to shore. There are no boats, let alone rescue boats on this bay, despite the thousands of tourists here.

All the staff are amazing and friendly! Especially Wikairy, Diosmary, and Anibal!! They will chat with you in all languages. The included food and drinks are worth the money for what you are getting. Also, the entertainment is great, as is the pool and beach access. Ample space and accessible to older adults, children, and anyone with mobility issues.

Excellent service
Wikairy, Diosmary, and Anibal were AMAZING at Biva Wyndham Tangerine! They always provided a warm and welcoming environment! Because of these three, I feel more than ready to come back to this resort for excellent service like the kind they provided!

May 22, 2023Where do we even start with this problematic resort “Scam City”
Arrived at 11:30 PM Room 1 - musty smell - patio doors to private deck were screwed shut and that’s it, no explanation just no patio for you. Sheets and pillows had brown stains - adjoining room (not requested) no way to lock either side so we had access to someone’s room as well as they to us? Asked to be moved asap. 1:00 am Room 2 (same stinky building) - room Extra musty/moldy - patio door broken but could force it open screen ripped - air conditioner running full torque but no remote to turn it down - TV did not work. Asked front desk for 2 AA batteries and told come back at 9 am when next shift starts? They don’t have any????? They also mentioned that there is a Shell Station across the street and go buy some???? WTF This actually happened… I was done at this point… my wife took over. 3:00 am - Room smelt so bad we packed up luggage and went to lobby and demanded another room or we are leaving. After 4 hours they finally gave a room in a newer building and my wife got to bed at 4 am. Great start to our vacation. The new room had issues but we had to adapt. At least was clean and bed was nice and clean and a king size. Air conditioner worked but could not use due to musty smell. We left patio doors open with a 3rd floor breeze that we lived with for the duration. The room daily is one fresh hand towel and 2 bath towels each day. 2 bottles of water each day (most days) from house keeping. Had to tip to make sure we got the minimum. We had to fork out $800.00 USD to eat at beach bars off site and to purchase booze at the local grocery store to get a good drink. The all inclusive is sooo laughable drink all day and never get a buzz. Watered down drinks in small cups (FOR THOSE WHO DO NOT SIGN UP FOR THEIR EXCLUSIVE MEMBER BS, WHICH WE POLITELY REFUSED 40-50 times in 5 days). The food. Tons of crappy food. Street people and stray dogs would run. Absolutely disgusting. The resort is plagued by green shirt time share wood ticks hounding you no matter where you go. We avoided the Front desk (which was lined up with complaints daily). Most staff were rude, unpleasant and down right nasty to young and old. Training course must have been attached to a can of Spam which would have been a hot ticket at their buffet.

Great Vacation!! Very nice waitresses
Wikairy ist a very nice waitress! Always smiling and having stood time! We felt very welcomed by her and the rest of the viva Team!!! Will be coming back! Great country and amazing people! Thank you very much!
