GIVE IT A MISS
We travelled as a couple mid April 2023 for 2 weeks from the UK. We stayed on the Palace side and paid extra to upgrade our room to a superior room with a partial sea view. Upon arrival we were taken to our room to find out that it was already in use so we were told to wait there and the guy who took our luggage would sort it out. 30 minutes later we were allocated our room 5825. The view was stunning from The balcony, right by the beach but thats where the good points end. The room was dated, broken floor tiles on the balcony, broken patio door lock, shower screen that managed to get water all over the floor despite the copious amount of silicone used. The sink also had so much silicone on it that the overflow was literally 2 holes punched into it, the aircon was noisy and dirty and there was mould by the side of one of the beds. The mini bar had some soft drinks and water in it on our arrival but the soft drinks were never replenished during our stay just the water. When I enquired at reception about it being restocked I was told no, you only get them once on arrival, no more. There were no tea / coffee making facilities in the room but when I asked at reception, we were given this. The room was "cleaned" and by this I mean the beds were made and the floor swept daily but there was no set times for this, could be 10am or 5pm, bit pot luck. The beach in front of our block was lovely, cleaned daily and quiet but the beach at the far end by the public beach was awful. Very noisy, not enough beds during our second week and plates and beakers left for days on end. Avoid this end if you want peace and quiet, the music from the pool area was deafening and the same songs played on a loop throughout the day. The sea was clean and clear, minimal seaweed and plenty of fish to see when snorkeling, the best part of the whole experience. The food, wow where do I start! The buffet food was cold and if you went after 8pm there wasn't a lot left. You could opt to have something made fresh but the queue was always long. We then opted to go to the a la carte restaurants in the hope that the food would be hot, nope, it was warmish, not one hot meal had throughout our whole stay. The best a la carte was the Italian and the worst was Bambu the Chinese, avoid this, food was like it had come out of the fridge, so bad we walked out. The food served at lunch time by the pool, burgers and chips, was again cold and they had either run out of cooked burgers or chips, never seemed to be able to time cooking them together so if you got a burger, you then waited for the chips or vice versa. How hard can it be to ensure both items were cooked at the same time so they could be eaten together! We went on the sunset Sanoa trip booked through the hotel, a long day with the best bit being the catamaran cruise back but mainly due to the crew being in a party mood and rum punch. The rest of the day was mediocre If, like us, you are used to going on decent Caribbean holidays, this hotel is not for you. Was very disappointed with the whole experience. On the coach back to the airport we spoke to some people who stayed on the Beach side and they also were disappointed with their experience for the same reasons. Top tip: don't pay for massages in the hotel, go to a little massage shop just outside to the left of the Beach side front gates. Just $40 for an hour long deep massage. Lovely ladies, not much English spoken but we managed, highly recommended

My trip to Dominican Republic
The resort was pretty nice very big, couple things I did not like is not having towels close by at Viva Wyndham Dominicus Beach but the beach at the palace had towels close by the beach so they definitely need to add a location at the other beach as well so people don't have to walk fat for towels, another thing I was disappointed at was me my mom and brother had a excursion booked and the day of the excursion my brother got sick the night before and could not go next so me and my mom said we can reschedule just 2 of of us because my brother had to go back home the next day but they would not refund us for my brother so we asked if we can get credit for something at the resort and they would not give it to us so I was kind forced to go on a different excursion for that money which I did not really feel like going but had to so my money does not go to waste it would of been nice to get a refund or even credit towards something at resort being part of viva club but what ever I just guess I won't book any more excursion next time other than that the food was ok they had different food every night at buffet and couple if the restaurants I liked. I also liked the entertainment team they were all good and nice especially Chema which I already knew from previous vacation and resort he is like a brother to me and loves my mom as she loves him like her own and always takes good care of her and also we love Samir and Adonis they are also like my brothers very nice and there was another that I dont remember his the name but the rest of the entertainment team were good, another thing I did not like was how they treat the environment team its just not right at all they need to start treating them better they are the ones that entertain the people there.

Pearl of the Dominican Republic - Viva Palas ❤️🔥❤️🔥❤️🔥❤️🔥
17 april -8 may. 2023 Kat& Seb.room 6108.We were so impressed by our 3 week holiday here. It was out second time at the hotel. Our stay was perfect. It was close to nature and the beach. Hotel staff were positive in spite of heat in which they worked hard. Special thanks to Chaniel Gonzalez for the wonderful drinks that cooled us down on hot days, thanks to Angelika for the coffee that gave us energy, and of course thanks to the wonderful Nordine Bahraoui for the attentiveness, for the ingenuity, for the fact that thanks to his hard work the whole hotel has positive energy. The requirements of each individual guest are considered. Thanks to the head of all waiters who ensured that everything was in place. Thanks to II Palko for wonderful food, the beef melted in your mouth. Thanks to the animators and lifeguards, and to Viva Cafe for a fantastic dining experience. The lobsters were delicious and service was wonderful. Animation performances were great. There are many more people who’s hard work made our stay the best. Thanks to all the reception. We would also like to thank the ladies who looked after our room. We encourage anyone looking at this hotel to book it, and see for themselves that it is absolutely worth it as the details are not missed. Thankyou.👻👻❣️❣️❣️❣️❣️❣️❣️❣️❣️❣️❣️❣️

We keep coming back
March break was our second stay in Viva Wyndham Dominicus Palace. Again we had amazing time. We love the beach with snorkeling oportunty, the beautiful grounds with wildlife and the people working there. We really love the atmosphere of this resort. We didn't have any issues with communication. There are many restaurants to choose from. Our favorite is Viva Cafe with delicious food and beautiful sunset. After dinner there is always something going on, live music, shows. This time we went on excursion to Saona Island with Viva Explorer. We booked sunset cruise. It was very well done. I recommended the resort to my sons and their girlfriends. They all came happy. They all agree that the beach, grounds, wildlife, fun nights and people are the stong points of Viva Wyndham Dominicus Palace. July 26 my husband and I will be back for our third time. 😃 We just love it there.
