Safe, fun and great location. Great Activities and Great Staff!!
Pickle ball with Ana Maria! It was so fun and I learned so much! I have been coming to Palmar for 15 years. It is always fun. The remodel looks great! I love that you have added PickleBall! Thank you Ana for a really fun morning! Also I feel safe! Last night there was a minor situation that I noticed security handled appropriately and swiftly. It made me feel even safer knowing there is plenty of security and that the management took care of a situation swiftly that could have effected others. Great job there!

Great place to stay.
Friendly staff, good food and several restaurants and facility amenities. Clean rooms with lighted makeup mirrors. Homer is a great guide on kayak and paddle board. Nico is an excellent pool waiter. We had a wonderful time there.

Nayeli is the BEST server!
Nayeli was absolutely wonderful! She provided excellent service over the 3 days we had the chance to sit in her section. She is very sweet, and by the end of our stay she basically felt like family! You can tell that she really cares about her customers and makes a unique and lovely experience for everyone.

Entertainment is the Best!
Entertainment (Alana! Luis! Fernando! and team) is the main reason my fam. and I keep coming back! All the hard work the entertainment staff puts in is amazing. Elizabeth, Alberto and Roberto gracias

Come only if you want to buy a timeshare and then beware.
Stay away unless you want to buy a timeshare. Otherwise you are not worth their time, we found. We booked an all-inclusive three day sweetheart package at $400 per day, meeting another couple here for a once every three year gathering. They had been here before and loved it. We all greatly regretted the choice of location by the end of the first day, and it did not improve on day two. We did not receive items promised as part of the package, and the concierge was no help in getting them to us. In fact, unless we wanted to talk about buying a time-share, she had no interest in talking to us at all. Our first meal was poor -- overcooked and cold -- and our second, dinner, was likely the worst dining experience we have encountered in sixty combined years in the hospitality industry - disjointed service with apps arriving 15 minutes apart, the same with the mains, and one dessert arriving at the table as one diner was just able to start to eat her main, another dessert arriving 15 minutes later. A requested "medium rare -- red inside" steak was returned because it had been significantly overcooked, only to be brought back to the table 10 minutes later with an argument that there was SOME pink inside leaving no choice but to accept it rather than further disrupt the flow of the dinner for all. After dinner, black tea was unavailable and coffee substituted in its place. When reserved, our room was quoted in USD, but when we pulled up our bank charges on line, they charged $35 more on-site, and later tried to blame the exchange rate. When we were allowed to access our admittedly very nice room a couple of hours after check-in, within five minutes we were asked to vacate it so the balcony could be painted! Our jet-lagged selves refused. On day two, we like everyone else we presume, were awakened at 6 a.m. as the painters were rigging their gear for the day and other very rumbling site setup was taking place. Up earlier than we anticipated, we found the breakfast buffet to be fine, pretty much as is usual in a resort setting. But when we sought help in bringing our issues from Day 1 to the attention of management, including the missing package amenities, we were told we needed to talk to three different people and that she could help with none of it. Oh, but were we interested in an additional amenities package and VIP status for attending a time-share sales pitch? Positively, the property offers the same great ocean views as most resorts along the bay overlooking Los Arcos (but beware, two of these belong to the same management: Villas La Estancia and del Arco). The two pools and the property are all lovely, but the pool chairs were all "reserved" by 7:30 a.m., and occupied by 11. There is a somewhat-less-than- cruise-ship-quality show nightly, and music blasts from the bars until 10. Randomly, a hotel "operator" -- presumably a time-share solicitation - called our room today to ask how our stay was going. When all this was explained, she said she would pass on our comments to the general manager. Middle of day two -- crickets. More to come, maybe.
