    A little deceiving

When making my decision of where to stay I wanted bang for my buck, which Dockside Inn definitely provided. I booked a two bedroom suite, under the impression it was actually to bedrooms. Not a 1 bedroom with two queen beds out in the living area. I think they need to be a little more clear in saying 2 bedroom, because it’s not really a two bedroom. The walls are a bit paper thin also. Could hear word for word what the room next to me was saying and doing.

Overall experience was not worth it at all. We won’t be staying here again.

Sneaky charges and lack of proper communications pertaining to check-in and check-out with their agents. They will tie your money up with authorizations and still charge you. So it’s like charging you twice. (Will never do that again). House keeping could’ve been better. Pool cleaning has to be kept up daily. Better options for dinning and beverages. The only thing that was a convenience was how close you’re to the parks. Bus transport was good. Literally that’s it.

Excellent Vibe and Good Time-Start to Finish

This hotel is really esthetically pleasing. It's beach themed, so blues and oranges, sunsets and water. Most importantly for me, it feels clean. There is no carpet in the rooms! Pier 8 Market in the Lobby was reasonably priced and pretty good. Both nights my teenage boys got a Bourbon BBQ, Bacon Cheeseburger. $13, pretty big burger with a big onion ring and all the fixins and comes with fries. I made a pretty big build your own salad with a ton of veggies, chicken and cheese and it was about $7. All the employees we came across were really pleasant, including check in (wish I could remember her name) We stayed in Tower 1, 10 floor, pool view-its actually stunning. It also looks out over a lake. Enjoyed my time at the pool-chill music, cute little beach areas for the littles to play in along with a small splash pad, and a few ping pong tables. At check in, they said the hotel was full. I have stayed on many properties around Orlando, I also have to say the families here were really well behaved. I will give some credit to the hotel for that by making things pleasant from reasonable room rate, reasonable food and drink prices, chill and pleasant atmosphere and decor, smiling faces on employees, oh, and great bus system. They said they run every 15 min. Seemed faster than that! Highly recommend this hotel.

    Vacay

Endless summer dockside is a fantastic hotel. Very affordable, family oriented, convenient to the theme parks. The staff are wonderful and very helpful with any questions you may have! The food is also really good for quick service.

    30th Birthday holiday

My mrs and I changed our original hotel for our holiday to this one. This holiday of ours was for my 30th birthday for a 2 week stay. On arrival at the hotel we was checked in by a lovely, friendly and helpful receptionist. Her name was Gabbie. She explained to us where to park our hire car, where our room was and our room keys can be kept as a souvenir as well as other useful information. I asked a question about something I saw on TikTok prior to us going on holiday to see if it was true (about a character waking you up on your birthday) - this was something that Gabbie was unaware of but instead she went and got a Universal birthday badge instead - which my wife and I thought was an extremely lovely thing to do rather than nothing at all. Upon entering our room (we was on the 11th floor) we was pleased with the pool view and the air conditioning was somewhat needed after a long flight. The room was ever so clean and just right for the 2 of us. We ate at the hotel a few times - for either breakfast or dinner. We noticed that the food is quite same same each morning / evening despite there being a few different stalls. It was the same food each day if that makes sense. Would of been nice had they done a different type of food each day. If you do end up eating there - buy the refill Dockside cups. It will save you money instead of buying drinks after every meal! One other thing we did make use of was the on site Starbucks. Me and my mrs love Starbucks cold drinks. This was definitely something we miss since being back in the UK . There is plenty of secure car parking at this hotel if your hiring a car. One tip I’d give is that if you can parking in the inside car park / parking garage as it’ll make your car nice and cool instead of it sitting in the hot Floridian sunshine. If you don’t plan on driving on your holiday - there is a free shuttle bus service that goes to Volcano Bay, Universal and Islands of Adventure - which doesn’t take long at all! These depart right outside the lobby area quite frequently. But check with the driver for the intended destination. The gift shop was also helpful as well but a few of the items in there we found to be on the expensive side. It had stuff like Universal merchandise as well has Dockside merchandise as well as essentials like aftersun which we definitely needed during our stay as I caught sunburn. The pool was lovely and was never extremely crowded. We loved and made use of the poolside cocktail bar. There was a cage of beach towels down by the pool for people to use instead of bringing your own ones down. The pool opening times were great. Open till 22:00 Monday to Thursday I believe and then open till 23:00 Friday to Sunday I seem to remember. There is only a few things I didn’t really like about this hotel and they were that the hotel room walls I noticed to be quite thin walls. You could definitely hear other people from other rooms. And another was that the barrier to the car park where you need to scan you room key was quite hard to scan it as the reader was too far away from when your sat in a car. Sometimes I had to lean right out for it to read our room key. Lastly one thing that annoyed me was that a few times I could smell a strong scent of cannabis - which is so unpleasant to say the least. But on a whole , if your after a budget friendly Universal hotel that is close to other main attractions, then this one would be ideal. I probably would book this hotel again but maybe try and go for a suite rather than a studio room.
