Nice resort with a great pool free shuttle to city walk

Spent 4 nights here the resort is massive we were in tower 2 with a view of the pool . Lobby was nice with a universal store a Starbucks and pier 8 restaurant. Our room was good just two beds pool view tv fridge and coffee maker . The pool was the highlight of the resort sand around the pool was a nice touch walk in style pool with a pool bar we did use the bus to take us to universal city walk was nice to have . Also a short walk to international drive with all the restaurants and attractions.

    Dirty

When we arrived at the resort our sink plumbing was completely disconnected leading to a huge puddle in the room. When the maintenance man came to fix it, he left the towel he had used to fix it on the floor with hair and grease in it. Also, on the back of our bathroom door was a shirt size sticker from the people who stayed before us.

    Too pricey- could be better

We had a 2 room suite and for the price we paid - more than a thousand for 5 nights- I expected more from this stay. Hallway carpet not clean, handheld dispenser empty, breakfast not included, pricey and served cold, fridge not cold enough, no coffee at the room, not enough toiletries, bathroom too small, seem like a college dorm, not like a hotel. Big disappointment for the money spent.

    Great stay for a week!

We stayed for a week at Dockside and had such a great experience! The shuttles to and from the park were so convenient and we never waited more than a few minutes for them. Housekeeping was awesome, we loved the 2 pools and had fun in the arcade room. The cafeteria was one of the best perks, by far. A lot of food selection and very good prices. A kids pizza and drink is only about $6, which is a steal at a resort- and they are good! Burgers, chicken, wraps, breakfast, lunch, everything we needed was there. The atmosphere here was relaxed and comfortable while still feeling upscale, clean, and well maintained, and early admission to the parks each day was a big bonus. I'm hopeful we get to stay here again someday and would recommend it!

    Great Experience

For the “budget” hotel option this hotel couldn’t have felt less like a budget hotel! The room was beautiful, and I will be back. The pool was beautiful, and the poolside bar was amazing! Overall a great stay.
