    Great experience!

Hotel is rated as a budget friendly property, compared to some of the other Universal Studio properties, but it certainly does not feel like a budget property. It has all of the ammenities you could ever need, food and drink onsite, prices are good, roof top bar is amazing! Rooms comfortable and clean, elevators situated so that no room is very far away. Every staff member we encountered was friendly and helpful. Would definately recommend and return.

    Great Hotel

Our stay was excellent. Clean rooms and lobby, and the location to the theme parks was great for the price. We had some tech issues with the room iPads and TV, but overall we had a great time. The hotel food was surprisingly good as well.

Nice Hotel and very conviently located.

If you're planning a visit to Universal, definitely stay here. Conveniently located right off the highway and they offer free shuttle service to and from the parks. They seemed to run always every 5 minutes or so, it seemed. We never had to wait. One night we just hopped over (and it's only like a 5 min drive) to CityWalk just for dinner and drinks. The rooftop bar offers exquisite views. Where the hotel is shaped like a triangle mostly, one could easily get lost exiting the elevators, but don't fret...the floors are color coded to match the color of your hallway. Trust me, that helped.

Ok for the price but nothing soecisl

A typical 3.5 star hotel, nothing more, nothing less. Pros: - Early park admission - Close proximity to the theme parks - Free delivery to the hotel for purchases made at Universal theme parks - Able to use the water taxi to get to and from the parks Cons: - Breakfast not included and not a lot of options. - Restaurants inside the hotel are pricey. - Very average service from the hotel staff. - Rooms seem outdated, dirty and bathroom sink is located outside the bathroom. -

    Good with room for improvement

The Good: Subjective, I realize, but I found the hotel very modern and attractive. The room was clean and housekeeping fantastic. Urban Pantry concept is great (hours aren't ideal) - especially the wok and pizza. It's the more "adult" Universal property, so if you're not coming with kids (I was in Orlando on business) there are nearly as many children running around. The shuttle ran frequently and if you don't mind a 10 minute stroll you can walk to the boat at the neighboring property. The pool was small but seemed relaxed and had plenty of room mid-week. The Bad: Bathrooms are starting to show some age. The woman who checked me in was friendly but not particularly warm or welcoming. The room seemed on the small side. The tablet is a really cool idea, but I found it a little annoying in practice. The Ugly: I asked for a room away from the elevators and was put in a room right next to the elevator (and ice machine). It was as loud and annoying as I had imagined. I don't expect any hotel to fulfill every request, and if that was truly the only space available that would have been fine, but the front desk could at least just let guests know they can't fulfill the request.
