Worked really well for our family
So depending on your priorities, this place can be a great option. We stayed as a family of 4 (two teenagers) so we needed 3 beds and wanted a full kitchen. We didn't mind not being right on the beach or having an ocean view. Check in was smooth and the reception and lobby staff were friendly. The parking (very expensive) is in a nearby building but you can pull up to the lobby to load and unload. The driveway is very easy to miss but once you know where it is, it makes the fact that the parking isn't right there basically a non-issue. The room was large - two doubles in the bedroom with a dresser and closet, a double pullout in the main room, and a good size kitchen. The bathroom was very large with two sinks, a separate toilet area with a door and a Japanese toilet :) There was a lovely balcony with a view of the sunset, and our room had a washer and dryer in the room. For us this was huge - hiking and beach make for many dirty clothes. As this is one of the newer buildings on the property, it was clean and pretty fresh looking. We really liked that there was a dedicated pool and hot tub for the building on the 3rd floor. It was nothing fancy but a lot quieter than the shared, beautiful pools on the property. Overall, for our purposes, this place was great and we would recommend it and stay again.

Hilton grand islander
Checked in the report is smooth, the front desk staff is just doing her job. Not too much interest in the hotel guests. There were not an ocean front building so even we booked an ocean front premiere 2 bedrooms unit. There are one building in front of us and we only have 1/2 facing the ocean and the other half is looking at the city street. It’s a nice new building but amenities is very limited. Pools were not open until 9 or 10 am. No coffee or refreshments in the front check in or out. It’s just a decent condominium rental.

Best overall in Hilton Hawaiian Village
A little father from the beach , but still have the best ocean view of all, complete view with sunrise and sunset view from the balcony. We got the 29th floor with 2 balconies . The 2 rooms share the big balcony. and the living has another balcony. The kitchen's windows has ocean views as well .

FINEST RESORT IN HAWAII
Please let me tell you I am the GM of a major resort in the Rocky Mountains in Colorado and this place is 100% on point from the check in until you check out. We were in 1905 and had an amazing view of the sunrise an sunset. Please know everything about the Grand Islander is perfect an it might be a bit higher but you will see the difference along the way. Bathrooms with rain showers huge tubs and 3 lights on the bathroom mirror for you ladies which my wife said was the best mirror ever. I took 2 pairs of casual shorts and 4 shirts as the units have washer and dryers and may I also add the best hair products and body wash as well. Towels are oversized as well as the pillows. Hate to go on and on but this was the finest unit we have ever stayed in. Check in and Bellman best in the biz !!!. Last but not least this tower has a private pool an hot tub and trust me you will love this feature. Kevin and Leslie Glenwood Springs Colorado

A grand vacations place very nice well appointed nice pools very very very busy. Now one of the largest Earth hotels.
Stayed with another couple on a nice sweet 25 floors up beachside looking at the rainbow tower and the ocean. Bill staff was fabulous. Took a taxi from the airport it was a stretch limo same price as a regular taxi! Tang Lee. Traffic was ridiculous. Ended up getting a Holo Holo card and riding the bus most of the time. Easy to get around that way. We went to queen Illiane‘s palace, The Bishop Museum, The farmers market passed the Alawana shopping center on Saturday fabulous. best garlic shrimp ever. Salt market just down from there was great. How to get reservations for Diamondhead hike , reservations ahead for Dukes at least two weeks to a month! Reservations for Hanauma Bay now! All the entertainment ranches for ATVs need reservations at least a month out! Leonards bakery is still the best with Malasadas original. Fireworks every Friday at Hilton were worth it. Free. Very large crowds. Do the stand up paddle boards and the kayaks you won’t be disappointed. We got C kayaks at the blue hot just passed Hilton and saw 5 turtles right off shore!! Check out the healing stones by Duke’s statue on Waikiki. Then learn more at the Bishop Museum about them. Make reservations for an Outrigger Canoe way before you go. If you go to Polynesian culture center make sure you have a ride back because the buses end early!! And Ubers don’t go out there late!!! Waikiki brewing is great, shout out to server “Justice”. IHOP by Hilton rocks. Go to Lampert‘s bakery if you want cinnamon rolls at seven in the morning by Hilton or they will be gone by eight! All the food was great all the people were wonderful just way too many of us tourists! Aloha everyone.
