Another Wonderful Trip to the Buccaneer
This is our second trip to the Buccaneers and it was even better than the last. Accommodations are as beautiful as they are comfortable. Staff is professional but also friendly. My husband and I lived on St Croix 12 years ago and took our two weeks back to explore and visit our old haunts and old friends. Every day started with breakfast at the Terrace restaurant. Some days we drove around the island, some days hit the Mermaid Beach, some days the Grotto Pool. Weather is always iffy in August, but we were lucky, sunny days with only a shower or two. Sun screen is a must, hats are a good idea. We loved our time at the Buccaneer and highly recommend it for families as well as couples.

Outstanding!!! Again!!!
We don’t usually return to places we have been, but our memories of a superb family vacation there some 8 years ago kept calling us back. We were not disappointed. The Buccaneer continues to provide everything you wish for from a Caribbean vacation. Yes, the rooms are 4-star. But the beaches, facilities, food, and especially the staff, are tops. St. Croix is a terrific destination as well, with great restaurants and welcoming people. We intend to return to The Buccaneer yet again. Could not ask for better.

Needs an update!
Great for golfers and tennis players. Resort very over priced IMHO and the villa extremely dated. $200 per night in hidden charges and taxes not disclosed upon check in was a bad look. Would not stay again.

Birthday Celebration @ The Buccaneer
This was my first visit to St Croix, and we stayed at the Buccaneer Resort. Upon arrival we were greeted with a welcome rum drink. We booked our trip as part of a vacation package and luckily, I visited the company's webpage and read thru all of the information before our trip. There was a deposit per person for each night which can rack up quickly for an extended stay. They offered a huge assortment of meats, fruits, and other options for the breakfast buffet, which was included, you just tell them your room number. The view of the water and the town in the distance was absolutely amazing, however I will say with the lack of rain the lawns were brown, dry, and not greatly landscaped. Since this visit, I no longer stay in resorts or hotels but opt for villas or Vrbo locations since I bring my children and grandson with me.

Perfect place to enjoy St Croix
My son and I were down on St Croix for a week, staying at a corporate apartment. We had originally planned to play tennis at The Buccaneer but the day ended up being quite windy, so we decided to enjoy the beach instead (the courts are extremely well maintained and we would definitely visit again to play). We enjoyed the Sunday brunch at the Mermaid Restaurant, which was outstanding. There were so many choices, including several local dishes. Don’t miss the fresh made huevos rancheros bar! Sherley was our server and she took amazing care of us and made us feel especially welcomed and valued as customers. We spent the rest of the afternoon enjoying the beach. There is ample beachside seating with umbrellas and both the sand and water at this spot were pristine. We enjoyed it so much that when we had some free time a few days later on the 4th of July, we returned for another beach day visit. From what we saw and experienced at both the restaurant and the beachside, I would definitely want to stay here on a future non-work visit. Everyone was kind and gracious and seemed like they genuinely wanted us to enjoy ourselves, especially Ms. Sherley.
