Jan 12, 2026The Best Sommelier is at Sunscape, Cancun.
The Sommelier, Guillermo (Memo) was outstanding. The all inclusive only offers one type of white wine which was not appealing. The waiter and our Sommelier recommended a Mexican Chardonnay that was delicious. Guillermo was very friendly and genuinely interested in us. After having a delightful conversation with him, he asked if we would like to have a private Tequila tasting. I would have said yes to any kind of tasting just to have more time “hanging out” with him. He is a delightful interesting and knowledgeable person. The Tequila tasting exceeded my expectations. I not only learned how the Tequila was made and the different qualities offered, I also learned about pairing them with complimentary foods. “Memo” outdid himself with the best customer service!

Tequila tasting with the sommelier, “Memo”
The tequila tasting was amazing! We learned so much about the history and process of tequila making. The tasting, display and food pairings were wonderful. The sommelier, “Memo” was very knowledgeable and his hospitality skills are extraordinary. We laughed and enjoyed the whole experience. It was a truly memorable part of our Sunscape Cancun experience.

Tequila sunshine
We loved the resort and the beach. All of the staff were friendly and helpful and the food at all the restaurants was excellent. We tasted many of the dishes. We particularly enjoyed talking to the sommelier, Guillermo (Memo). He is a fun guy and helped us choose some wine. We did the tequila tasting with him and that was enjoyable and informative also.

Great couples getaway
Great experience in our first couples retreat after having kids. Specially, after we rented a cabana on the beach and our server was Paulina. She was outstanding and attentive. She took care of us with all of our needs. She was on top of everything. All the drinks and everything we wanted… An outstanding job. She went above and beyond. The Paulina made our experience better. Cabana rental are about $75USD but are worth we every penny, specially if you server is Paulina.

Tequila tasting.
Tequila tasting was amazing with Guillermo at Sunscape. Very knowledgeable and had the answers to any questions regarding tequila.
