    Amazing stay!

Beautiful stay at the Sheraton! Very friendly and helpful staff and lovely rooms. I will definitely recommend this hotel! Mahalo to Roger our house keeper, Isaac our check-in attendant and his supervisor.

Great stay but for lack of umbrellas and shade at pool

Big busy hotel with a great location in Waikiki for the beach and for walking around shopping and dining, etc. Everything was clean and efficient. All as expected. A constant gripe of ours is the complete lack of umbrellas or other shading at the pool area. This is a fixable issue which the Sheraton and lost other similar establishment choose to ignore. Adult infinity pool was a welcome spot for us. The big family pool and slides were great for the kids. Beach access was easy and convenient. Really enjoyed our stay and experiencing Waikiki for a few days before moving on to other parts of Oahu.

    Great views & great service!

Our stay at the Sheraton was amazing. Staff such as Jordan at the front desk & Jingsi who maintained our room, and Margie at the edge bar were all incredibly friendly. Made our stay so much better. We enjoyed the daily music at the edge bar and the infinity pool was so good. We didn’t appreciate the guests that claimed their chairs by the pool at 7AM and didn’t come & use them until much later.

    Sheraton Waikiki = Awesome!

We came to Honolulu to drop off our daughter at UH for her freshman year. We figured we would make a "final" family vacation out of it. We booked 2 rooms with the hope that they would connect, and the team honored our request. That doesn’t always work out. We had a great view of Diamond Head and Waikiki Beach and the family pool. This place is BUSY for a few reasons. The location is awesome. Clean and well maintained. And most important for us, great people. The Aloha spirit was everywhere but I need to specifically call out LIZA! She was our room attendant on the 17th floor and she was incredible. We don't normally get service during our stay but every time we walked out of the room, she seemed to be right there asking us if we needed anything. Plenty of towels, supplies, and whatever we needed. We precleaned the room and left her a nice tip. We'll be requesting a room in her section next stay. A couple of notes. The hotel is busy. The elevators are remarkably efficient though. Never waited for more than a minute to go up or down. Pools get busy and people can hoard pool loungers at 7am. The team does what they can to monitor them but it is people being people. Not the hotel's fault. The adult-only pool is a great place for quiet and a drink. You can even see the turtles out in the water. The beach access is great. Not great snorkeling there but a great place to hang out, swim, and soak up the sun. The hotel doesn't mind if you check out towels to go there. Just bring them back! I hate to have to disclose that I work for Marriott because one might think I'm just biased or got a great deal. Not the case here. Prices were what we expected. When I don't think the place is great, I just don't say anything. This place is special. Every associate greeted us with the Aloha Spirit. It's very clean. Great location. Service levels are top-notch. The Sheraton Waikiki is a great choice to enjoy Waikiki!

    Not bad.. not great

We are currently staying at the Sheraton Waikiki. $500+/night (resort fee and taxes) gets you a clean/updated room in a great location on the beach. You also get to wait in line at 8 AM to guarantee a lounger at the pool. Or you can pay $60-140 per person for a “premium” lounger. So I don’t understand the resort fee. Apparently resort fees are the norm at Waikiki Beach hotels. The Sheraton can not accommodate all of their guests at the pool even though they use every inch of available space for the free loungers. It’s crowded.. A positive is that outside food and non-alcoholic beverages are allowed at the pool. Overall all, food and beverage is very pricey at the hotel - as expected. I’m ok with spending the high prices on food/beverages in a high-end environment with full service. This is not the vibe at Sheraton. The complementary breakfast for Marriott Bonvoy members platinum or higher is a fruit bowl, granola, yoplait yogurt, a croissant and pastry. Platinum + members also get to fill a goodie bag from a store just for members - a nice touch. I don’t see the value in Waikiki Beach. It is absolutely beautiful, but otherwise crowed and a tourist trap. The Sheraton might be one of the better options here, but it’s also overcrowded. I’d spend more and go to a less crowded place in Hawaii. Or even better go to Mexico and save. Or the Maldives where we spent $750/night (all inclusive food/alcohol 2 people) for an overwater villa. Less than we’re spending in a day for a room + food/beverage/activities around Waikiki. I have had a positive experience with the very friendly service staff here and there is nothing I can see that they can improve. But I can not recommend this as a dream beach vacation.
