Beautiful beach access, with a good, somewhat cramped (but soon to be renovated!) suite
Our family stayed for a few days during the Memorial holiday weekend, and our first stay at this resort. Be prepared for a 15-20 minute delay to cross over from the mainland as traffic tends to choke on the bridge. Firstly, as the last resort at the northern end of the Sand Keys strand, we loved the sense of privacy and space. (The park next door, with some wooden boardwalks, is worth a stroll.) The exclusive beach area was incredibly impressive -- unlike nearby resorts that need a walk through natural sand dunes to get down to the ocean, the actual beach extends about a third of a mile from the hotel pool to the water's edge. As others have mentioned, that also can make it a bit of a walk, but a hotel golf cart makes a constant shuttle loop to and from (can sit 5 comfortably), and I would argue that the beautiful view is worth it. The hotel itself is very nice, with two restaurant areas, a gift and sundries shop open very late (at least midnight while we were there), and friendly customer service. The sleeping and living area was good if snug for three people in our two queen suite, but the bathroom was cramped; the toilet and shower has its own door and barely has room to turn around in. The shower itself has a low placed head (I'm 5'11") although pressure and hot water was fine. The view of the gulf from the balcony was perfect. The cramped bathroom may have cost a star for an otherwise very good suite, but checking out had an awesome story worth recounting that earned that star back. The hotel is currently going through a floor by floor renovation and even though they were starting on our floor the morning we were checking out, we didn't feel like it was intrusive. As we were leaving, I was planning how to get everything down because of all of our bags (some with grocery type items) -- however, a head contractor saw our struggles and volunteered to help us get our bags down to the lobby, saving me an entire second trip. That was above and beyond customer service and yet another reason to recommend Marriott. We hope to return to see what the renovated rooms look like!

What a fabulous stay with family!
We had the best time ever at the Sand Key resort! We were group of 9 people with 5 kids and 4 adults. Resort was very clean. Weather was hot but the beach and pool made up for it. Pool seemed smaller at first but was never too busy where you couldn't find space to swim. There is a poolside bar which serves amazing drinks and we tried very one of them!! Beach was absolutely fantastic! There is a quiet a bit of walk to the beach and it felt like ages as it was very hot but they do have a golf cart that takes you to and from the beach. Beach was very nice and warm. Kids had a ton of fun playing in the beach. They saw a starfish and some other fishes. No wonder its named Clearwater. Resort itself was big and nice. There is a coffee shop that serves coffee, some sandwiches. In house restaurant was good as well although on the pricier side. Staff was excellent and always had our Old Fashioned reedy and delivered to us in the lobby each night without a word! There is a free shuttle bus that comes right at the hotel and takes you to the pier and area where there are restaurants so ensure you use it! Overall we loved the stay and will definitely stay here again!

Excellent service
I would like to thank the Sheraton staff because they go out of their way to make you feel at home. I was on vacation with my family there and we had a great time. Beautiful and clean room, excellent service at the front desk (Nolan and Cidney) they were kind and helpful. The buffet breakfast in Rusty Rest. was varied and delicious but best of all was the service, special recognition to the Manager Mr. Benito, Diane and Tammie. Definitely we will stay there again.

Very good hotel
I was at the Sheraton hotel for 5 nights for business. I would like to thank Nolan at the front desk for their excellent service and help. I liked the shuttle the hotel offers to the beach. I found the hotel and the room to be clean. I had a good experience.
