May 21, 20253rd trip back to Secrets Wild Orchid
Stayed in preferred club again. Last time we visited was in 2016. You can see some wear on the buildings but they really do a great job of keeping the property looking great! The restaurants were great! Shout out to Wayne at Portafino and Sasha beach server. They both went above and beyond to make sure we were getting the best experience possible. It’s the people at the resort that truly make a difference for guests. Very relaxing trip! Got to experience roof top restaurant and bar at new Breathless resort which was fun. Also now have pickleball which we took advantage of. Jerk chicken cart is still a favourite for us. They do an impeccable job of keeping the rooms clean and stocked. Room service takes about an hour but you just plan in advance. Thank you secrets wild orchid…we will be back!

Great Time At Secrets Wild Orchid in Montego Bay
We really enjoyed our stay at the All-Inclusive Secrets Wild Orchid in Montego Bay. We traveled with a party of 9 ranging in age from the mid-20s to early 70s. Our group consisted of family and a few friends. Guests staying at the resort were quite diverse, which we really liked. Although most were Americans, we met people from several countries and continents. The rooms are spacious and very comfortable. Even though our room was next to the pool, with the sliding doors closed it was very quiet. The TV was a little difficult to navigate as we never found a guide, but we didn't have time to watch much anyway. The beach was wonderful, a little small, but adequate and clean and the water was well protected and warm. We never had an issue with getting a beach chair, although there did seem to be some competition for pool lounge chairs. Drinks were abundant and good. We found the staff to be very friendly, cheerful, efficient, and helpful. Food overall was very good. We especially liked the Jamaican buffet and jerk chicken which was also available along the beach. There were several restaurants on site and all were good. The entertainment ranged from ok to excellent. The biggest downside from my standpoint was I felt a bit insulated. If you want to really experience the Jamaican culture, you will need to leave the confines of the resort. Security was tight. On the other hand, we also felt safe and the area around the resort appeared to be safe too.

Unforgettable Stay at Secrets Wild Orchid – Preferred Club
Our stay at Secrets Wild Orchid Preferred Club was absolutely incredible. The staff went above and beyond, the service was top-notch, and everything—from the rooms to the restaurants and pools—was spotless. We loved the variety of amazing food options, and being Preferred Club guests, we had access to all of Secrets St. James as well as Breathless Montego Bay next door. The Altitude rooftop restaurant there had stunning views and delicious dishes! The resort is huge and beautifully maintained, with multiple pools and beachfront areas between Wild Orchid and St. James, giving you endless ways to relax without ever getting bored. The nightly entertainment was fun and lively, and the vibe throughout the resort was fantastic. A special shoutout to Matthew, one of the bellmen, who truly made our stay memorable—so friendly, attentive, and welcoming every day. We also highly recommend Markino Tours for excursions and airport transfers—our tour through Montego Bay and the hills was a highlight! Beautiful place for a get away
A beautiful luxury resort with fun activities and people who are still invested in great customer service and kindness. the beach is amazing with clea waters and enough chairs to accomodate every one. Everything is centralized for easy access. I will be back in September, celebrating a birthday.

May 15, 2025Disappointed stay
Stayed at this resort in April. My husband & I went with 11 other couples that we travel with every year. My iPad was stolen out of my room and the resort has not done anything about it….yet. I am hoping they are still willing to resolve this issue because I would hate to think that a resort of this caliber would have a dissatisfied customer. My husband and I are vacation club owners and travel very often through the year and this has never happened to us. I always travel with my iPad, but I only use it on the plane ride. But this one day I used it in Jamaica because it rained the entire day and we tried to cast it to the TV. I left it on the nightstand charging that same night. Didn’t realize it was missing until 2 days after when we were checking out. They sent someone up from lost prevention where he searched the room and our suitcases and belongings, but I showed them that on my find my iPad app that it was not in the resort’s room. I filed a complaint and they told me that they would keep in touch and someone will reach out to me. Trevor from Lost Prevention was in contact for maybe the first two weeks and then he told me that he forwarded my complaint to the executive team and someone there will reach out to me. That was three weeks ago. I have not heard anything since then. My husband has also sent emails and have called the resort and we are not getting any response at all. I am devastated and feel violated! In all the years of my traveling to different resorts, cruises, countries and cities staying in various hotels all over the world. I have never experience anything like this. It’s not just that my iPad was stolen. it’s how the resort is handling the whole situation or not handling the situation that has me boggled. It’s like they have a disregard for security and the safety of their customers. If there was something less than one star then that’s what I would give them. Very, very disappointed in Secrets Wild Orchid Montego Bay. And to think that this is my second time staying at this resort, I stayed back in 2017, but it was under different management. The resort was definitely so much better back then. The people were much friendlier and the property was absolutely beautiful with peacocks roaming around and beautiful parrots. But that was years ago.
