May 22, 2025Great stay!
Our original hotel Secrets Playa Esmeralda did not open in time and this was our alternate hotel. I appreciate Secrets for giving us a return voucher. This was one of the friendliest staff ever, great pool & beach, great facilities. One down side was no volleyball and I thought the buffet and architecture could be a bit better - as in more natural tile/travertine and more trees and lush gardens. But overall the service might be the best we have had at any resort.

Switch from our original scheduled resort
We were actually scheduled for the new Secrets Esmeralda but it was not open yet. They sent us here instead. While I was not happy with that I was pleasantly surprised about this resort. The design and layout of the property was very good. the beach is one of the best we have been to in the 12 years we have been a member. The attendants and workers were all very nice and welcoming. They all went over and above to please. There were only 2 restaurants we liked. Tierra and Seaside. They both had excellent food. Breakfast anywhere was severely lacking and there was very little Seafood offered which is something we prefer when we vacation at these resorts. Overall I would give it high marks for cleanliness, attentiveness, beach and pool. As stated, overall the food was the main thing lacking for us.

My wife and I just returned from our second visit to Secrets Tides and we are in the process of booking our third. We have fortunately had the opportunity to vacation at many resorts in Punta Cana and Mexico , including other Secrets properties, but this is the first time that we’ve ever considered returning to the same place for a third time. Speaking in generalities, which is easy to do here, the attitude and performance of the staff, the beauty and maintenance of the grounds, the food selection and quality, and the ability of management to maintain such high standards is something special. A special thank you to Alberto, our butler, who once again went above and beyond to help make our stay another unforgettable experience.

Amazing Stay
We had an amazing stay at Secrets Tides. All of the staff were exceptionally friendly and helpful no matter what time of day it was. The ambiance set a great mood for us that carried through our stay. The food was enjoyable and the spa service was wonderful. We felt taken care of every day.

Fantastic Preferred Club experience!
We visit lots of all inclusives including many other Secrets properties and this was one of the best yet! We did Preferred Club this time and we’ve done both but so glad we dis this time. Service was fantastic which tends to be the biggest differentiator between them. Lots of poolsode servers and beach service (at least on Preferred Club side). Food is always similar and drinks as well. It’s an all-inclusive so we don’t expect 5-star Michelin chefs but still very good. Property was beautiful, clean, and three beautiful pools! THREE preferred clubs! We took my daughter and two of her friends for a graduation present and they loved it. They started an amazing first impression when we got out of the limo with champagne and cold towels for everyone. My daughter felt like a princess! My daughter and her friends aren’t big “partiers” so the speed of this resort was perfect. Fun and alive but also classy and sophisticated. This resort has a chill vibe but still fun. Activities each day. Beach is beautiful even though there were multiples storms when we were there, there are still areas along the long beach there where you can avoid the seaweed. The resort does its best to get it up each day as well. Sand is super soft but it isn’t white, which we don’t care but if you are looking for white sand it’s not in that area. Our butler Hedron was very attentive and always filled our requests. Myra and Happy Boy kept my daughter and her friends busy and having fun. Really amazing time - thank you to all the staff who made our time super memorable!
