    The Good, The Bad and Mojitos!

    THE GOOD: This trip was our 10th time visiting Secrets The Vine. We booked this vacation with our friends to show them why we love coming back. We were greeted by Carlos, who escorted us to check in on the preferred floor. We had an amazing upgrade to Governor Suite and often ended the evening with late night room service entertaining our friends to share the comfort of our suite. We had such a blast with our friends joining in so many activities day and night. Sergio and Rogelio kept us entertained all day with pool volleyball *Happy Hour with Sergio* and Pedro, pictonary *I love Rogelio!*, mojito mixology class *strong mojitos*, and many more! Beach and pool (Hector) service were great, too! All the restaurants were amazing! Since we have been at Secrets the Vine multiple times, we noticed that this year, there have been many great changes to the menu in each restaurant. More options available and portions were perfect. My friends and I had breakfast at Olio daily. Erika was always there to greet us and sat us at our usual table every time right away. William was our waiter daily (except our last day), and he was always attentive, with a positive attitude, and remembered our drink orders each time. THE BAD: We never had any problems during any of our stays. We never complained about anything except the beach and pool chairs. Otherwise, we are very easy to please. We dont usually ask for anything but knew we had a butler to help us with anything during our stay. The first issue was that our luggage took over an hour to get delivered to our room after we got notification that our room was ready. No big deal. Two days before checking out, 3 pieces of my clothing that I wore the same morning were taken from my room. I usually keep my room neat and tidy to make it easy for housekeeping. I realized my clothes were missing that evening when I couldn't find them. I checked the entire suite twice and had my husband check a 3rd time. I notified Viridiana, the head butler, first thing in the morning (8am) on the last full day of our trip. They said they would follow up on the missing clothes. Each time we used the elevators at various times during the day, Viridiana would say they are still waiting on information about this issue and let us know when there is an update. It wasn't until around 545pm when I requested for an update. The reply came 30 min later stating security didn't find anything that had been reported from rooms on the 28th floor. Then she asked for a description of the clothes. I find it weird to first tell me they hadn't found anything and then asked me for a description. So what were you looking for all day if you didn't have the description in the beginning? When I pressed the issue more to find out what will happen if my clothes were not found before we check out, the head butler proceeded to tell me the process of how it works for lost and found. I was frustrated because my clothes weren't left in the lobby or poolside. They were taken from our room, most likely during housekeeping cleaning. We had reservations at Dragons and needed to make it later because they needed security to check the entire suite to make sure the missing clothes weren't in the room and had me fill out a form and describe what happened and description of the clothes. This took all of 10 min. After this was completed, surprisingly my clothes appeared in my room less than 30 min later with no explanation of where they found them. If I didn't press on this issue, the missing clothes would have probably been left behind without any explanation. This was NOT the impression I wanted my friends to experience since I spoke so highly of this Secrets resort specifically. On the day of checkout, I did not see Viridiana on our floor the entire morning. I thought she might have been avoiding us or whatever. But I made sure to see Aldo, our butler's assistant, who was covering another floor that day, to thank him for his services throughout our stay, and we look forward to seeing him again. Despite the bad part of our trip, we still fully enjoyed our stay at our home away from home.

    Dragons cheff Isidro is one of a kind whatever you want he can make it even if it’s not on the menu then he personally brings it out to see who order the one of kind food great Cheff and wonderful place I ate here twice already and I will eat again before I go

    Secrets the vine Cancún

    The dining room manager, Marco was a pleasure. Always happy to greet us. All the staff were amazing and welcoming. Rooms and resort were kept tidy and food was always so good. Highly recommend staying at this resort for a nice relaxing weekend!

    Birthday Weekend

    My husband and I visited Secrets The Vine at the beginning of May for a long weekend to celebrate my birthday. This was our 3rd visit here as it is one if our favorite resorts. We arrived early and our room was not ready, which we expected. We are UVC members so we were greeted by one of the reps, Carlos, who took us to the private check in. We checked in within 10-15 mins an were told that we could receive a complimentary room upgrade. Our room was ready earlier than expected check in which was a plus. When they said upgrade they meant UPGRADE! We booked the preferred club junior suite and they gave us the preferred club master suite and it was absolutely amazing! We had a bottle of sparkling wine waiting for us when we arrived to the room as well as our choice of a complementary bottle of liquor. Aleman, our butler was amazing and made sure that he was available whenever we needed any information or for any other needs. The food at this resort is one of the reasons we continue to come back. The food is delicious and so fresh. The staff at the resort really cares about the upkeep and cleanliness. The preferred rooftop pool is one if our favorite places to be. I do recommend getting there early to get a spot as it fills up pretty fast. The beach is beautiful! I love the white sand and blue waters! Room service came pretty fast for it to be late at night and the food was fresh and good. Robert at the preferred pool bar had amazing customer service. The hostesses, waiters and all staff at the market café we very friendly and attentive. The Blue Water Grill is a must try as well as the sports bar and Sea Salt Grill. Ruben our bell boy was kind and Tony Sosa and Carlos from UVC were very accommodating and pleasant. Will we be back, absolutely!

    Excellent resort thanks to Alex, Melina and Charly Brown

    This is my fifth time at this resort and will be booking again soon. The resort staff, food, drinks and the view are why I continue to come back. We had a beautiful room on the 27th floor (all rooms have a view of the sea and lagoon). Melina was amazing and took care of everything for us. Aldo was also there for us on the rare occasion Melina was not (sorry about the wine in the elevator). It's nice to be able to connect with them through WhatsApp. I enjoy daily exercise and activities from the E-Team and this group were truly amazing. Thank you to Charly Brown, Angel, Rogelio, Sergio, Diego, Pedro and Ramon. They kept me busy all day with a variety of fun activities. I enjoy daily walks but the beach here is very difficult to walk on but I knew this from previous visits. We walked on the sidewalks on the main road almost every morning and felt perfectly safe. Although the beach is beautiful and the beach service was excellent, we spent most of our time at the PC pool. The view from that pool is also amazing and it's quieter when I wanted to get away from the activities. Alex works very hard to keep everyone happy with chairs, towels and umbrellas. He went above and beyond. The drink and food service at the PC pool was amazing thanks to Sandra, Robert, Daniel, Salvador and Armando. It's nice to be able to order food from the Olio menu right from the chair if we didn't feel like the full lunch experience at Olio. Olio is an excellent opportunity for PC dining for breakfast and lunch as well. The service was great thanks to Gustavo and Willian. For the first time, there was a lunch buffet there one day during our stay. I'm not normally into buffets but this one was great with a nice variety of seafood. We also had lunch at Sea Salt one day since it was pretty hot outside. We had a nice table inside the air conditioning that day. It was a nice way to cool off and see Sebastian. He has been there for 10 years and I like to visit him each time I return. I also saw Angel A who used to work for the E-Team but now is in guest services. I looked for him each day to say hola and see how he and his family are doing. We had dinner at all of the restaurants except Olio while we were there for the week. We were going to eat at Olio but it was too windy the day we planned on going. Be sure to bring a hair band or hat if you plan to eat outside and it's windy. Our favorite was the steakhouse. The wait time for a table was reasonable in each restaurant and I love Secrets resorts because of the no reservation system. We just ordered chocolate martinis from Fernando and enjoyed the evening while waiting for the table. Liliana was very prompt seating everyone. We asked for Arturo when we returned and he actually remembered us from the previous visit. The Italian was wonderful thanks to Jeremias. We had a few snacks throughout the week at the Sports Bar. That's a very nice touch and the wings were great. All of the restaurants were fantastic. Thank you to Miguel and Eulises at "Club 21" (the PC bar on the 21st floor). This is also a nice touch when you need a quick snack or drink. I had some concerns when I found out Hyatt now owns Secrets. I've been visiting Secrets resorts for years and absolutely love the Secrets brand. I spoke with Berenice via email a few times prior to our arrival and she came through with everything she said she would. The main difference between Hyatt and Secrets is that they no longer provide sunscreen in the room so make sure you bring it with you. I look forward to returning to see all of the wonderful friends I loving making on vacation. Thanks again to Alex at the PC pool, Melina, Charly and the entire E-Team. Hola from Michigan!!!
