I would definitely return to Secrets The Vine. Luxury service, friendly staff. Suites are heavenly, large spacious rooms and balcony’s. Shout out to Issac, David and Roger at the Italian restaurant they were amazing. Another special shoutout to Eric at the vine lounge Terrance. Lucy at the pool gave us great service and always kept our cups filled.

Great experience, will return.
Stayed at the Secrets the Vine Resort with my wife from Oct 27 to Nov 3, 2024. The hotel grounds are very tidy and clean. Public bathrooms are the cleanest I've seen. We opted for the preferred package with the junior suite. Nice thing with this package is the upgraded room and access to the preferred pool on the 12th floor and a separate check in on the 21st floor. Besides the pool and the nicer room, the preferred package doesn't really offer any other benefits. Not sure I would opt for it again considering the additional cost. The food at the restaurants was fantastic. The only one I would avoid is Olio - Mediterranean style. A lot of guests I spoke to agreed that the restaurant ranked at the bottom. Standouts are Bluewater grill - a steak house and Market Caffee - mexican theme at dinner time. Breakfast at the Market Caffee is buffet style but they have everything you'd want plus a chef that can make you eggs any way you want. Very good. Olio also has breakfast but it's so so. Stick with market Caffee buffet instead. The coffee bar in the main lobby is open 24/7 and the coffee is great. They can make you pretty much anything. Ice caffee mocha and ice caramel macchiato are great. Cons: With the preferred package, you are suppose to have a dedicated concierge - we have not heard from ours for 3 days hence the uncertainty about the preferred upgrade. You can't reserve a restaurant at any time. This is a positive and a negative at the same time. You can wait up to 1.5 hours depending on what time you show up. It's first come first serve. If I'm paying for the preferred package, I expect to be bumped up like with fast pass at a theme park. You can't reserve pool chairs. Very annoying meaning you need to get up at crack of dawn to place your towel on the chair. The staff won't do it. Even for preferred guests. This is a biggie: There is a lot of upselling at the resort. They hound you to attend presentations, buy a chef's table dinner or a wine tasting. None of it is cheap. I found this vary annoying and expect this type of salesmanship at a cheap 3 star resort, not a 5 star resort. This needs to stop...it really dampened the atmosphere. The grounds are a bit small. Three pools on ground floor with a 4th on the 12th floor reserved for preferred guests. There is no outdoor nightlife at all. Everything is inside. Pools close at 6pm which is very early but could be seasonal. The lobby is very very warm . No AC. Something at the market Caffee. I don't understand why this won't get fixed. Not the only one with the complaint. Management - please fix your AC. Pros: The Junior sweet room is beautiful and spacious with a very large balcony overseeing the ocean. The shower pressure is the best I've seen in any hotel - been to many. Just amazing. Daily maid service is exceptional and they tidy the the entire room. Plus they are fast meaning they never inconvenience you whenever you want to go to the room. Pool staff are very attentive and fast with the orders. No complaints. Beach is very clean and beautiful. Just wow. Definitely well maintained. Food is very very good. 12th floor pool is beautiful overlooking the ocean with full sun all day. Almost worth the preferred upgrade. Staff are fantastic and very pleasant. Alexandro was our waiter at Market Caffee for dinner twice. He picked our menu and was very attentive. Extremely personable and genuine. Ithiel - the Market Caffee manager was very welcoming and ensured all guests were very well taken care off. He strived to achieve the best dining experience while providing a personal touch to our dinner experience. Ithiel has very strong leadership skills as demonstrated by the professionalism of his staff. Sebastien was our concierge once we finally got one. Very attentive and helped us extend out checkout the last day since our flight was at 10:30 at night. Ixshel - barista at the coffee bar (works mornings) was super sweet and made amazing coffees. Shell give Starbucks run for the money. Lastly, Rodrigo who works at the Bluewater grill steak house was my most preferred employee. He treated us like family and ensured we never waited long for a table. He went above and beyond with our dinners (3 of them) and made them extra special. Look at the steak he asked the chef to prepare, it rivaled any high end steakhouse. Thank you Rodrigo for the amazing service, you made us feel like family - thank you my friend. We would definitely go back just not sure about the preferred upgrade. Would need to think on this one before pulling the trigger. Don't hesitate took book and look for the staff I mentioned, they'll treat you right. PS. Don't be cheap and tip the staff. Goes a long way for them and enhances your own experience.

For the money, it is not worth it!
The front desk really put a bad taste in my mouth. They changed the room that was originally reserved. The wait time for restaurants reservations is ridiculous. You can be told 30 to 60 minutes, which is actually 70 to 100 minutes. None of the restaurants was wow for the price you pay per night at the hotel. The food there was just ok and when you order room service to your room the food comes late and cold. For the money, it is not worth it!

AVOID. Waste of time and money.
AVOID. For a 5-star establishment, the service is far below expectations, leaving my partner and I feeling uncomfortable throughout our stay. From a two-week vacation, I can count the number of positive service experiences on one hand. I wish everyone who worked at this establishment were more like Gael from concierge and Alain from the entertainment team; they truly stood out in a sea of mediocrity. The downstairs areas are excessively hot, making evenings and daytime dining quite unenjoyable. The dress codes are unreasonable for a tropical climate; my partner was turned away from a restaurant for wearing smart chino shorts, despite not having packed long trousers. He was provided with ill-fitting, smelly black trousers as a substitute. I was also turned away from the buffet for wearing a bandeau top, as shoulders were not covered - an unreasonable request given the lack of air conditioning. We waited over an hour to be seated at the Italian restaurant, and despite numerous complaints about the many empty tables, our concerns went unaddressed. The advertised “premium drinks” were nonexistent, and the “Preferred Club” access was underwhelming; while you can access the rooftop pool, good luck securing a sunbed if you’re not there by 9 a.m. Overall, this experience was a significant waste of time and money.

Lovely Hotel/Fantastic Staff
Myself and my wife have just returned from a relaxing 10 night stay to celebrate my 40th birthday. On arrival was greeted in reception and given a glass of Prosecco during the check in process. Room was super (would recommend requesting a high up one) we were on the 19th floor and had perfect views of both the lagoon and the bluest sea I’ve seen, WOW! Plenty of options for restaurants and bars- I liked the sports bar as it had lots of screens and showed live matches catering for pretty much what you wanted to watch (NFL, champions league, premier league etc). We are delighted we chose to stay in this spectacular hotel but the biggest asset is the staff, they can’t do enough for you in every department of the hotel. The pool staff constantly bringing you drinks. At the 24 hour bar every morning the ladies who prepared the coffee remembering exactly what I ordered previously and being so friendly. Big shout out to ‘ALAIN’ who was on entertainment- super guy, gave us lots of advice and recommendations! On the last day he even brought my wife and myself friendship bracelets- nice touch. The staff throughout really are first class. The only area for improvement for me would be the air conditioning needs addressing in the lobby/some restaurants- also men should be allowed to wear tailored shorts for meals in the evening. We really enjoyed our stay, thank you. Would highly recommend.
