Excellent, relaxing vacation
If your looking for a party resort, this isn’t it. If you’re looking for a relaxing vacation without children all around, this is what you’re looking for. Adults only, and a beautiful location made for the perfect, 2-week relaxing vacation. The food was good, although variety was limited. The service was outstanding. The employees were welcoming and kind. The beach was nice and not crowded.

Nowhere to go if it rains
The Good: *The rooms were cleaned every day early and the mini bar refreshed. *The staff is WONDERFUL! Elisha at the lobby bar is the nicest bartender we've probably ever met during all of our travels! She's so sweet and friendly! Claude at the beach bar is also great! Everyone was great but those two stood out! The Bad: *No entertainment. Everything scheduled by the pool never happened, even on days it didn't rain. I understand not having shows because it's low season and not a lot of staff but I'm shocked there was literally no entertainment during the day besides a speaker and music. I think they write it in the daily newsletter so you think they have it planned but they have no intention of actually doing it. *My biggest complaint though, is that there is literally NOTHING to do but go to your room if it's raining if you're not preferred club. They don't have a single indoor bar open besides the preferred club. I actually went to the lobby assuming they'd have a pop-up bar there for such a situation and was told I could walk in the POURING rain and thunder to the beach bar and get my own drink and walk back to the lobby and drink it. It rained almost two whole days while we were there. It is absolutely insane that they think it's acceptable to expect people to sit in their room when it rains. If I would have known this in advance I would have bought preferred club or not gone at all. I know the resort can't control the rain but they should plan for people to have somewhere to go when it happens besides their room. The island of St Martin is beautiful and I would return in a heartbeat but I would not stay at Secrets here again. I've been to many other Secrets and other AM Resorts and this one is not up to the same level as the others.

Manage your expectations and it will be a great trip
If you are a person who likes resorts that are always jumping with stuff always going on, this resort is not for you. It is not a party spot. This is a very sedate and calm resort that is ideal for relaxing by the beach, doing some light snorkeling or chilling by the pool. The vibe was very laid back. Perfect for us but not for everyone. Don't get me wrong, we had a lot of FUN. Meeting people at the beach and the pool. Performing at karoke night. Dancing and singing along to the nightly entertainment in the lobby (although it wrapped up too early), etc. The staff was also top notch. We are the type of people who always treat staff like old friends wherever we go. The staff at Secrets matched our energy. We had a group member take ill during the trip and the staff went out of their way to make sure he and his family were taken care of. They were sincerely kind and engaging. We enjoyed getting to know them. Breakfast and lunch buffets were outstanding with a lot of variety. My only complaint is that there wasn't a lot of variety for dinner, but the food was good (especially the barbecue). Wrapping up, if you are looking for a 24/7 party resort, this is not the place. If you are looking for a place where you want to have fun, but you also want to relax with no fuss, this will probably work for you. P.S. You have to try LoLo's for lunch/dinner. A very unique experience and a great meal.

You will get less not more here
3.5 Stars and dropping tells you all you need to know for a Secrets Resort. All inclusive here means you wait on yourself. The only reason I have it two stars is the scenery it beautiful. Look elsewhere

Never again!
I would never go here again. Food was average - hamburger and hits dogs are not on my menu when I go on vacation, drinks were horrible, pool dirty, just old old old. The beach was ok. There was no service on the beach or at the pool.
