Apr 26, 2025The people made this vacation memorable
We just returned from our stay and already booked a return trip in June! The resort and grounds were beautiful. We stayed on the preferred side of the beach (which was rocky) and pool and it was very relaxing. The food was good but of all the good things we can’t say enough about the people who work there. They made the experience the best especially Luis and Jesus in the preferred lounge so much so that we changed our plans for our anniversary in June in order to go back and visit with them! We can’t wait to go back!

Dual income no kids
Great resort. The food was great. The shows were fun and the people watching was epic. Resort was very clean. Staff went out of there way for me in every interaction. The Secrets section is more isolated but is a 2-3 minute walk. No kids allowed?! This is the way.

Good pool entertainment each day. Good food. It is very windy most of the time which was a little annoying. Spa services were nice. Staff was very friendly. Nighty entertainment was fun each evening. The buffet food tended to be a bit cold, but the food was ok. The steak houses restaurant was very slow getting you your food.

I loved this resort for several reasons. The staff were amazing, helpful, and so caring. I cannot compliment them enough! The ambiance is superior & our room had an amazing view! I only wish there was less seaweed at the beach which is not the resorts fault, but just comes with it. We did a romantic beach dinner and the ambiance was amazing. I would definitely stay again!

I’ve stayed at other Secrets Resorts before and had great experiences, but unfortunately, this location fell short in several ways. While the resort grounds were clean and the restaurant service was impressively fast, a lot of other aspects were disappointing. The highlight of the trip was definitely Luis, one of the bartenders—he was fantastic and made us feel welcome. However, the food overall lacked seasoning and was often served room temperature, which was underwhelming. Poolside service was practically nonexistent—I wasn't served once, despite tipping generously throughout the resort. The swim-out room we booked was a big letdown—the water was freezing and completely unusable. I contacted staff multiple times about it, and each time was told someone would come by to check, but no one ever did. This resort did not meet the standard I’ve come to expect from the Secrets brand. I would not return to this location or recommend it to others. Very disappointed with the overall service and experience.
