Dec 02, 2024Secrets Playa Blanca Costa Mujeres has it all!
Beautiful location, white sandy beach, marvelous amenities, and an all inclusive venue to boot…what could be better? Our family of 5 went over Thanksgiving break and there was something for everyone. We were all adults and enjoyed very much the special pools and lounges especially the Preferred Lounge and Pool area. Secrets Playa Blanca Costa Mujeres is a stellar property and worth a visit. It’s special!

Dec 02, 2024Our least favorite Secrets stay to date
Our least favorite Secrets experience so far. The hotel itself was nice and new and easy to navigate but that was about all we can say. Most of the staff was fairly rude and inattentive - most of all, the entertainment staff who left a lot to be desired!! We did not engage with them much because they never tried to engage people and it felt like they were more annoyed than anything. We would watch their events and guests would try to engage and they just came across uninterested (all except for Alex who was very happy and engaging!). There was a major lack of diversity of day activities during our week there and the night shows left a lot to be desired for the most part! Food was just ok. El Patio was excellent and our server there was a delight! The rest of the restaurants left a lot to be desired compared to the other Secrets we have stayed at. We would like to shout out Joel (our pool concierge who was AMAZING and a genuine delight!), Guadalupe (our server at the pool who who worked so extremely hard alllll day and still found time to help us with our Spanish and be overly pleasant) and Moises (our concierge who was so helpful and wonderful). Sadly, many of the rest of the staff was fairly unpleasant. From ignoring guests who were standing right in front of them while they kept talking to just showing a general lack of care and disinterest. However, this experience will unfortunately have us rethinking any future Secrets stays.

Great trip! The resort is beautiful and accommodations very nice. Only complaint is at check in, we were given a hard sales pitch on spa services and the need to go through a sales pitch during our stay (which we were we never attended). This was after we had started our day at 3:00 am and were starving (it was about noon).

Secrets Playa Blanca 5 star resort and staff
This resort was excellent for only one year in operation. It is located about 50 minutes north of Cancun and provided very clean and safe environment. The facilities, food, and service were outstanding. The majority of the staff were very fluent in English and helped me to re-learn some Spanish. The staff members were very personable, friendly, and helpful. The most exceptional staff were: Hever (beach and pool bar), Yajoira (Rendezvous bar), Angeles (pool bar), Daniel (pool bar), Edwin (El Patio restaurant), Antonio (Oceana and Seaside restaurants), and Sayuri (Market Café hostess). Other noteworthy staff who helped make our visit enjoyable were: Jose, Romeo, Elio (Oceana restaurant); and Sixto, Leonardo, Luis (Market Café). It was fun getting to know the staff, and we were impressed with the cleanliness of the beach and large number of palapas that were available for the guests. The beaches were great for long walks. The rooms were very nice and spacious with great views. The Patio restaurant was very cold temperature for our dining and the Seaside Restaurant was so dark in the evening that it was difficult to see your food. Regardless of a few minor issues, we had a very enjoyable stay and would return to this resort.

Amazing 10 days!!!
Just completed our 10 day stay. The staff is incredible with great attention to detail! The food is very good for an AI. High quality and fresh. The resort is impeccably maintained. We have been to many AI’s. This is tops. Shout out to a few of employee stand outs. Diego,Cassandra, Joel, and Juan Carlos! MUST VISIT.
