We traveled for a work event and everything was wonderful. The staff was amazing. The rooms were clean and inviting. The breakfast at the market cafe was more than I expected. Get the green juice!!!! We had a corporate event on the beach and it was set up perfect with delicious food and drinks. We would definitely return.

Wow! No wonder this is rated#1 AI in Mexico
This was the best holiday I have ever been on (and I’ve done a few!)… where to start…. No wonder it’s called Secrets… the entrance off the highway is very understated and thus it’s a secret! Once through the gates it is a secret wonderland! The staff are all so friendly and happy, every staff member greeted you with a smile and hello and loved it when we spoke back to them in Spanish (even though we’re not that good at it!) The pool service at each of the pools was outstanding, waiter service for drinks, food, fresh towels, cooling flannels and sunglasses cleaning! The food was amazing and always plenty of it-I dread stepping in the scales now I’m home!! Antonio the pool concierge and Ana were very attentive and happy to chat to us, Bernardo at the pool bar must serve hundreds of people but always remembered our tipples! Alejandro, part of the entertainment team, is a man of many talents and even took time out to serenade my daughter and her boyfriend as he proposed to her, Luis the concierge in building 9a ensured my daughters room was decorated for her birthday as was ours for out anniversary a few days later! Jesus who was our evening turned down service was a delight and happy to pop back later if we weren’t ready for turn down, Sandra at coco cafe and Marysol, Hector and Olinda who work so very hard in the catering areas, they always seem to be at work -when do they sleep??? And finally Nicte-ha, e-concierge for all her help prior to our arrival in setting up the surprise proposal and beach dinner for my daughter and her now fiancé. There was quite a lot of seaweed but there were people raking it up all the time and a digger and dumper truck taking it away morning noon and night

Magical stay, cannot wait to book again!
Just returned yesterday from a 4 night stay here and have nothing but good things to say about this resort. Went for my husband's 35th birthday, and we are already planning to come back next year. We booked through Hyatt using 30,000 pts per night in May 2025. We flew into Cancun and then took a private Amstar transport to the hotel which was a 1 hr and 6 minute drive. Great company, very easy and convenient to use. The property/pools: stunning and beautifully maintained, lots of wildlife and right next to the 2nd longest reef in the world. Quiet pool was so relaxing, but they had an entertainment pool as well which was fun. Never had to flag anyone down for a drink or food, very attentive and friendly poolside service. Poolside concierge was very helpful in making sure we had everything we needed, and it was never hard to find a spot next to the pools, even when we would go down there midday. The beach: never had to fight for a spot on the beach any time of day we tried, and they have beautiful well-covered lounge chairs that were clutch when trying to escape the sun. You can rent snorkeling gear for very cheap and see some stunning wildlife on your own, but I highly recommend booking a tour with guides to go further out. The water was nice and clear. Lots of seaweed on the beach but they managed it well and cleared it every morning. Snorkeling: Shout out to Myra one of our snorkeling guides who made the experience that much more special. Saw over 10 sea turtles, multiple sting rays, beautiful coral, all right next to the resort. Absolutely magical. This is a must-do if you're visiting Akumal. The room: beautiful, comfortable, well stocked room. We booked a Preferred Club Junior Suite Tropical View. Soaking pool right on the balcony, and we even got a partial ocean view when we booked a tropical view. The bed was comfortable, and the turn down service was a nice touch. I will say they did the turn down service pretty late, after 9pm for all of the nights we stayed and we were already in bed for most of them. The spa: dreamy, I could have stayed there all day. Preferred club guests get a free 50 minute hydrotherapy service which takes you through sauna, steam room, multiple massaging jets, and cold plunge. Very invigorating and relaxing. We followed it with a 50 minute couples massage which was soooo great I fell asleep during it. The spa is absolutely beautiful and well laid out. The showers have an indoor and outdoor option next to beautiful tropical plants, and I am a sucker for an outdoor shower so I was so happy to use it. Entertainment: There was always something going on at night, between live music, shows, dancing. They also offer excursions off the property with Amstar which we are planning to do next time we go. The vibes: It was a good mix of younger couples, older couples, and groups from all over the world. It didn't feel boring, but also not loud and party vibes. It was a good mix of relaxation and fun. Staff: The staff was sooooo friendly and attentive, informative, without being pushy or disruptive. Special shout out to our concierge team Leidy and Gerardo, they were so helpful and easy to get in touch with right in our building, and readily available via text as well. Food: So many options!! We didn't have time to explore them all only staying 4 nights, but we tried Bordeaux the French restaurant, delicious duck and soup, they kept the wine flowing. Oceana was also delicious. The amount of breakfast options at the Market Cafe buffet were almost overwhelming. The presentation of the food was beautiful. We sat through a vacation club presentation (was only supposed to be 90 minutes but was 2.5 hours with very pushy salesmen) but we got a free $360 dinner by the beach which was magical. Our servers Ricardo and Mario were so kind and sweet, and even brought out a special birthday dessert and sang for my husband. Drinks: Delicious, full bar everywhere you go with not just the basic liquors. They aren't watered down and everything I ordered was great. Preferred Club: With the Preferred Club your building is closest to the beach and you get special privileges throughout the property: a Preferred Club lounge with snacks and drinks, personalized check in and check out, access to restaurants that are only for members, and a preferred club section on the beach. Left this resort feeling relaxed and recharged, and very, very full of food and drink. Cannot wait to stay again!

10/10 experience!! loved it!!
this place was beautiful and the service was awesome. everyone was very nice and helpful. the food was good and the activities throughout each day were very fun! i would definitely come back! Max, Javier, Hector, Oscar, and Alejandro were our favorites!! I loved them!! they greeted us everyday and made sure we have everything we needed and were all good, and also told us goodbye at the end of their shifts! i will miss them! :) Sincerely, Elle, Faith, Madre, and AA-ron!!

Top notch customer service!!!
The customer service was top tier service!!! Everyone was so helpful and nice. The convenience was elevated from guests because the concierge took care of all our needs. My favorite was them preparing the bath and putting fresh sheets before bedtime. I would visit this resort again for sure.
