Finisterra Trip
Great food at Tortuga, Emiliano's and Don Diego. Mario and Armando are amazing!!! The resort is nice. Dont expect a cabana even if a member. People will reserve one and not use them. The butler service is a joke. If you get up early, you can watch the sea turtles come up on the beach and lay eggs. Ive never seen the babies hatch but I can only imagine if you go during the right time of year.

The Royal Elite Team are the best!
I was recently at Sandos Finisterra which is my favorite place in Cabo! It was August and Hurricane Hilary was approaching and my scheduled SCUBA dives were cancelled. The Royal Elite team went out of their way to make my experience work. This isn’t the first time either…Ivonne, Glenda and Ana are the best! I recommend Finisterra to all my friends because of them, and the many others who go the extra distance, to make your stay the very best! Only the very best from the very best!

4th time at Sandos
Huesos is the best bartender!!! Definitely check out the lobby bar. He makes amazing espresso martinis! Also, love Virginia at Don Diego. She’s such a sweetie and always made sure my coffee and mimosas were always full! The pool is always a fun time and the guests are so friendly. I’ve been to other resorts and the guests at sandos are always easier to make friends with. Enrique at the pool is so much fun too!!! He hosted the trivia/entertainment. I only have a couple of complaints. The bartenders at the pool are REALLY slow even if you tip them well… I would recommend that they staff more bartenders. They need at least 5 and 3 bar backs. I was also really offended when I tried to eat lunch at Agave (the pool restaurant) and they wouldn’t allow me inside with a bikini top and skirt on. My skirt wasn’t see through and my bikini top could pass for a small crop top. Later that night, we went to Tortuga (the nicer restaurant) for dinner and they let a girl in with just shorts and a bikini top. Just kind of strange!!

Spa day at Sandos
Staying at the Sandos resort with friends and it has been an amazing experience. We decided to book a spa day before our departure and I am so glad we did. Karen and Lorena took care of my partner and I during the hot stone massage. They were so lovely and kind. Will definitely book another service here!

A Realistic Review - Great Service but otherwise misses the mark.
This review is for anyone who has experience staying at nice resorts and covers what I think is missing from other reviews when I came to Trip Advisor before staying that this hotel. The Pros: - Staff and service were wonderful. The level of care and enthusiasm by the staff rivals what you would find at any elite resort. From the bellmen at the entrance, to housekeeping, bartenders, servers, etc. Those people get 5 stars all around. It's all inclusive, but we tipped at every meal and drink because the service was that good. - Location: Directly across from the marina and walking distance to downtown Cabo makes this location very convenient! We saved a lot not having taxi costs as opposed to our prior trips to Cabo at other resorts. - Excursions - You can conveniently book tours on site at the Seek & Go window. However, if you walk across the street and thru the overpass that says "Shopping" there are numerous tour vendor offices. We booked ATVs at less than half the price of what we were quoted at the resort. The Cons: - This resort is not luxury or elite. It's quite basic. While the pictures on trip advisor are not necessarily misleading, it's just not a true representation of the experience you will have. Yes, there are GORGEOUS views and a nice looking pool but that only goes so far. - Towels: You get 1 towel per person and have to return your "towel card" at the end of your stay or get charged $50. Mind you, the pool loungers are basic hard plastic loungers which often had food and crumbs remaining from whoever used it the prior day. That said, you really need 2 towels to cover your lounger and a third to actually dry off with. - The pools: The pools were clean on our first day and that was it. The pools illuminate at night which attracts bugs and flies that land in the pool and die. They do not clean these out each day. By the second day, my kids refused to swim in the pools. There were plenty of other people swimming so perhaps this is something that does not bother most people, but again I think it matters what you are used to traveling with. We are not used to this level of pool neglect and immediately noticed the lack of daily cleaning. - The food: Is terrible for the most part. There are isolated items which taste good. Breakfast buffet was consistently good. But a la carte during the day and dinner sucks. For example, fries are a basic item. The fries here are the most cheap, frozen premade variety of fries that exist. With zero salt or seasoning. There is one sit down lunch restaurant available during the day and the food is pretty dismal. It's Mexico right? But nowhere on the resort for lunch or dinner can you even get a basic traditional taco. Just deep fried shrimp or fish on a flour tortilla. We tried all the restaurants for dinner and again, it's very hit or miss and mostly miss. Steak and sea bass at Tortuga was overcooked and dry. Sea bass at Emiliano's was similarly overcooked, but my husband's lasagna was tasty. I could go on, but if you consider yourself a foody or enjoy anything other than very basic and usually bland food, know that this resort's food will let you down tremendously. In a nutshell, this resort is not terrible but missed the mark for me in one too many areas. I would say this resort is more so on the high end of a low tier experience or the low end of a mid tier experience. I think that if you've never been to an all inclusive resort, don't travel very much or consider yourself a budget traveler then this place would work for you. However, if you want to feel like you are fully on vacation, eating better food than you would eat at home, then this is not the place for you. Do not be deceived by the number of 5 star reviews. You will NOT like this place if you are in any way looking to feel pampered on vacation versus just staying somewhere that's okay and fits your budget.
