NOT GREAT
Went back and forth on the type of room to book- all rooms were expensive as it was Memorial day weekend. Decided on the Mahi - resort view one bedroom villa. MISTAKE- it was a parking lot view when entering the suite balcony side was not a great view either but didn't pay the gulf view price.... (Mahi building was very far from any resort amenities or beach entrance)- not ideal with small kids... one elevator and used by cleaning staff so elevator wait times awful. - Upon check-in was sent to the Mahi building with little information (even after asking for directions) Found the "villa" and smelled like mold and mildew- Immediately called front desk and they said they would send cleaning staff up (did not accept this) they sent up someone who moved us a room over smell was improved - Called cleaning staff back up as the bathroom was not cleaned properly. After it was completed- no complaints on cleanliness of room Amenities: BE WARNED the outdoor water park and all amenities there are very high charges- 40.00 an hour per person for the water park. Free water slide- kids rode one time because the slide was pretty much dry and burned their legs the whole way down...Zipline- NOT WORKING (i asked the front desk and was told they were waiting on a part....) Smores are nice and the pool dj party one night was fun... But if your coming for the amenities like we did you will be shocked at the price tag. Pools are clean but all the same.. don't get sold on the quantity. Restaurants on site- KIDS meals are outrageously over priced and didnt even fill up my 5 year old.. wait times long and quality is not there. Our room was left unlocked one day by cleaning staff, but towels were replenished and beds made. No garbage was removed. Air conditioning went out first night there and not one apology from staff. overall = we would not visit again for over 500 dollars a night its just not worth it the views lacked the convenience and location wasn't great..

Great Beach Service
Our trip to Rumfish resort in St. Pete, couldn't have been any better. We arrived on a Wednesday a bit early and our room was ready. We checked in and immediately went to the beach. At the beach we were greeted by David C in the cabana .David set us up mats for the chairs, towels and putting our tarp up. We were very pleased with his service, that the next day again he greeted us with a smile and once again met our expectations. David did this for the three days we were at the resort. He is such a nice and kind person who is very proud of what he does. We noticed that David would do this for all the guests and always with a big smile. Thank you David for completing our beach experience , we will definitely be back.

Wonderful location on St Pete’s beach
When checking in we did not get the room we had paid for. Pat would not listen when we told him we were suppose to have a gulf view. He said to speak to manager next day. Thank goodness Joe came to the rescue and got us moved to the correct room. Housekeeping did an excellent job keeping our room clean each day. We loved all the pool choices especially the adult pool with no children. Very peaceful. Resort was very clean lots of workers visible each day. Walking distance to many restaurants. Hated the resort fee since we did not use any of the amenities. Asked for a late checkout and was told a $20 hour fee. Seems like everything had a fee. Charged credit card first night $1575 for incidentals. Was not happy about that so took our meals and drinks at neighboring resorts. We will probably return at some point but at least we know what we are getting and all the fees.

Had a great time!
Had trouble with the room and front desk was very responsive. Had a great time at this resort. Cabanas were great. Great location. Really liked the gulf side grill but didn’t care for the Rumfish Grill.

Resort Fee
The resort was well placed with an outstanding beach and friendly staff. The only issue I had was that they charged $55 per day "Resort Fee" when I asked what I got for that they said parking, use of the pool, beach and a cabana on the beach. There was no way to avoid the charge which came to over $300 when tax was added for the five nights we were there I think that sites advertising this hotel should include that information in the hotel description
