This resort has a beautiful beach. As a first timer visiting Punta Cana, I was a bit discouraged with how early the entertainment ends. By 10:30 pm everything is dead unless you go to the night club at the resort next door. The entertainment team is great though, they hype everyone up at the pool area. They had foam party one day which was fun.The waiters at the buffet are not as attentive. My personal experience, we had to look for our drinks or get up and ask, never the less forget about getting refills. Bartenders by the pool on the other hand were great, very pleasant and like anywhere, if you tip you get better service. Alexis , Roberto and Ekalina at the lobby bar had a great carisma and were nice to talk to. In regards to the snacks during lunch time, there were only burgers and hotdogs. I was expecting more variety. If you want something to snack on while at pool or at the beach pack your snacks/chips with you. It's a bit pricey at the resort.

Our experience was less than ideal. Our room was small, bathroom even smaller. No shelves in the shower to set anything on, so all my person care items had to sit on the floor. The AC barely worked, our room fan was non working at the time of check in and even after multiple requests to have it fixed, it still was not fixed by the end of our stay. Our refrigerator also did not work properly and when we made management aware, it still was not fixed during our stay. Beware of the high-pressure sales people that will try and get you to sit through a presentation just to get dinner reservations. Even if you sit through the presentation, it’s you will not get the dinner reservations that they promised and they are very aggressive in their sales tactics. The dinner reservation system wasn’t absolute nightmare, and we were not able to get dinner reservations at the hibachi place like we wanted at any point during our seven day stay. The food at the restaurants was never hot. Every single person in our group got sick at one point or another either during the trip or immediately upon getting home. We had a rat encounter on the beach one day. I definitely do not recommend this place.

Disappointed
We all got sick nausea vomit diarrhea. Spoke to many others at the resort who also got sick. Food was disappointing. Butler took 3 days and 3 requests just to get a hairdryer to our room. I have been to many Royaltons and this was the first one that I was disappointed with the vacation. I won’t be going back.

Would come back!
Beautiful 2 wk vacation with our kids and grandchildren celebrating our anniversaries. From friendly lobby staff Alexis, Roberto and Erianna showing genuine interest in us almost daily and Clara so attentive to us every morning at the buffet. We hope you know how much we appreciated your kindness and professionalism. The beach is beyond none. Only criticism is the Mexican restaurant needs a menu makeover. Nothing stood out in the food department.
