  Half staff are good the other half need sacking!!

  -never got showed to room on arrival so was sat waiting for 20 min for nothing! and someone else’s suitcase turned up to our room instead of mine. -ask for a drink at bar it seems like you have asked for a kidney. Only certain staff. -half staff are lovely the other half are rude and ignore you and got miserable attitude (need more training) -app was working now and again and can not get any reservasion to any À la cart restaurants ever!! -Toilet leakes all in to we’re sink area every day. Had to keep towels down on floor or you would step in toilet water. -mini bar got refilled once after calling down 3 times/no other day did it get filled -shampoo and conditioner never got filled up after calling multiple times -dirt floor constantly.,maids were terrible at job,hair left everywhere!!

  Had such an amazing time at this hotel, once again! And I loved it so much that I’m returning next year. The beach was being redone during the stay however there was still plenty of beach to explore and sit on. The hotel has made lots of improvements since being here last year, all of the positive in my eyes. The app does still need some work however. In terms of stand outs, the entertainment team were fantastic and are one of the main reasons why I keep returning! I cannot praise Bom Bom, Victor, Iliana, Cricey and Bernard enough, hope they are all there next year to make the holiday just as wonderful!

  Honest Review - Butler Service / Swim out - No elevators

  Let me first say that I am a big planner when we take vacations. I like to be sure we get the most for our money and everyone is happy. We took my daughter and her family with us. The granddaughters are ages 11 through 16 and everyone had a great vacation! I have to say I think this was our most memorable vacation ever and we go every year or two but this was our first All inclusive. I know it’s extra, but I think it’s truly worth it to get Diamond service - now called Butler service. Antonio was our butler. It definitely made my stay carefree which is a big plus because usually I’m the one worrying about everybody having a good time and Antonio was excellent! It was like having our own personal assistant he worried about getting us dinner reservations, a cabana by the sea, letting us know about activities for the day, he set us up in the spa… pretty much everything I would normally do for the entire family. We also decided to go all out in one room and get the swim out, which was great because when we wanted to be around less people, but yet in the pool, we would have our room close by, but we could also swim up to the Diamond area for food and drinks and stay cool. Things we loved: 1. Diamond service/Butler Service with Antonio! 2. Room with swim out pool 3. If you stay at Royalton Punta Cana, you also have privileges at Royalton splash the waterpark 4. Complimentary Shuttle to Royalton splash included 5. Variety of restaurants. Steak, Italian, Mexican, Asian including hibachi and sushi, seafood. Loved the freshly made Sushi! Note that restaurants are not open every day for dinner so you need to choose restaurants you would like to go to and plan that out ahead of time so you hit them all on the night they’re open. 6. Culinary experience was the best! Kudos to the chef and waiter Baron 7. Buffet at both hotels were open for lunch and had a variety of items to suit everyone’s taste. Diamond bar had bar food and drinks for lunch. There was a swim up bar at one pool that had drinks. There was also a cart that had barbecue hotdog and hamburgers so there was some variety at lunch. 8. Cafe & gelato shop open 10a to 10p. Expresso drinks! 9. Activities the whole family could enjoy at various times including at night. Various activities by the pool, including exercise, water, aerobics, and activities for the kids. Kids club activities at splash. 10. Rooms were clean, decor was modern. Large Royalton branded body wash, shampoo and conditioner on wall in the bathroom. 3 ounce Royalton lotion all smelled amazing! Hand held hair dryer and even a weight scale LOL. 11. Espresso capsule machine in room and mini fridge stocked with various beverages including coke, pepsi zero sugar, juice boxes and chocolate milk, beer. 12. Room service included. 13. Loved the water park for the kids at Royalton splash just a short shuttle ride away or even a nice short walk. 14. The AC was great in every room. 15. Loved having a ceiling fan in the room! 16. Enjoyed the complimentary hydrotherapy tx at the spa but probably would not have gotten it if it wasn’t included. 17. Remember a white outfit if you have one for monday night activity! I would definitely say adding Butler service was worth it for me because it made my vacation worry free, knowing that we could get reservations that we wanted and that activities were planned each day. I can honestly say this is the first vacation. I truly enjoyed because it took the pressure off me and everyone had a great time, including me! I would just message Antonio through WhatsApp and let him know what we needed, and he would take care of it! He even set up rides for us to church on Sunday and also make sure that our bags made it to the room and we’re brought down in time for our transport out to the airport. Antonio even set up a electric scooter for me to use. It was $55 a day but worth it due to my limited mobility. I could use it everywhere but the beach. Somethings that could use some improvement: 1. No elevators in buildings where the rooms are. I can’t imagine how the staff does it carrying everything up and down the stairs all the time. 2. As I said, I am a planner, so like to make sure that I have all the information I need ahead of time especially when staying at a new place. Many times when I called the hotel phone number on the app I would just get a voicemail so I tried calling marriott’s all inclusive line and they would give me email addresses to send questions to for the hotel but very seldom did I ever get a response over the two weeks before our reservation which drove me a little crazy! I kept resending a list of questions to which they would forward to another email and most I never received answers for. 3. We love that the buffet was open for all meals. But it would’ve been nice to be able to eat at a restaurant other than there for breakfast and lunch. I do understand the hotel is short staffed and that is probably why you see some of the same staff at the restaurants that you see at the buffet and not all restaurants are open for dinner. But there is a limited room service menu too. 4. It would’ve been nice if we could’ve ordered sushi at other times too. It was sooo good! 5. It would’ve been nice if we could’ve seen the menus for each restaurant ahead of time. We did not find them posted online probably because they were ever changing. 6. It would’ve been nice to have lobster included for the additional fee we paid to have Diamond service, but lobster tail was an additional $40 at each place. 7. It would have been nice if tips were included with all services but everyone likes to feel appreciated. Tips cash only.

  Wonderful and beyond expectation of a getaway stay.

  The resort is amazing and beautiful. I've been to many resorts and experienced enough in the DR. Trust me when I state the Aura is different here. Many factors come into play when considering a place to go or take friends/family, i.e., resort itself, food, drinks, rooms, amenities, most importantly the staff and customer service. I highly recommend you elect the Diamond experience if possible to get a butler/concierge assigned to your room - it will never be the same for you. On our first trip we had Carlos and since then, I always stay in touch with him for future visits. He elevates the stay and experience to another level. Never stress about anything, it will get done right and immediately. Our wedding with the wedding tema on site, Mrs. Beatriz was amazing and cannot thank they staff for always gling that extra mile to make our stay and experience wonderful. - Johnny J.

  Best resort I’ve been to

  Amazing time! Everything is so clean and the drinks were good. Buffet was the best one I’ve had at a resort! Carlos and Santa were amazingly attentive and took care of us every step of the way. Outside of the resort, DR is also a very pretty country.
