    AVOID AT ALL COSTS

If you are ok with being sold for or uncharged at every turn in your all inclusive resort, this is the best place for you. Our experience was uncomfortable from day 1 - starting with a sham of a timeshare presentation. I have traveled to many places, professionally as well as personally and the service I experienced here has been close to the worst I’ve had. It’s sad that now we will have to reschedule to enjoy a troop vacation.

    Beautful Resort

The Royalton Resort was beautiful. Unfortunately through no fault of the Royalton, the beach experence was less than adequate with the amount of Sargassum.

    RELAXING WEEK OFF

We had booked a vacation in Aruba ,but due to some physical issues,my wife suggested an all-inclusive. We looked for a few weeks, and we knew that flying out of our airport we would have limited options, but we decided on the Royalton. We read many reviews, watched a lot of YOU TUBE videos ,and we knew what we were getting . Some reviews were good and some not so good, uts always that way. Although our Aruba trip was going to be a beach vacation,we knew we would have to change gears a little. This is going to be as honest of a review as you will get. Upon arriving the hotel was very impressive. Its huge ,and walking in,it was spotless. 30 minutes we were checked in,and on our way to our room. Room-spotless ,2 double beds, lots of space, yes we were overlooking the mangroves, but we were not there to spend time on our balcony.Lots of hot water, fridge stocked daily, towels, face cloths changed daily. They even washed the floors at least twice. Yes we left tips ,but we always do. FOOD BUFFET-WE went to the buffet a few evenings ,and we always found something to eat,and we had nice white fish in a cream sauce one night ,and stir fry 1 night, and it was pretty good. Breakfast was the best, omelets, eggs any style, pancakes, waffles, fruit A la cartes TAJ-We went twice ,both times it was great,we had Oswaldo both times ,and he and Candey were excellent servers. It was our favorite. Zen-it was very entertaining, and it was actually very good, everyone seemed to enjoy their evening.i would recommend it. Armadillo-my wife got the brisket, and I got a steak, both very good. And again Tomas who served us,was great. Grazie-we went just for lunch 1 day,and it was really good,we had pizza and pasta, and i have to say we all enjoyed it. FOOD TRUCKS-Really nice option, rather than going back to the buffet, burgers, fish and chips, pulled pork burgers, all really good. And booking the A La Cartes was not that difficult. And if you needed help, the help desk in the main lobby was very accommodating. Pools-im not sure how many there were, but we always found chairs and a good spot. Yes some people would have towels put at 7am,and you would never see them ever. Yes the water was a little chilly, but what do you expect when you are sitting in 28 deg c sunshine all day. We enjoyed it,and we are not pool people(i will get to that) Beach-ok so yes we are beach people ,and having been to Varadero,Cayo Coco,Cayo Santa Maria, and the many beaches of Aruba,we have seen many nice beaches and loved them. This beach was impressive, litsnof chairs, beach bars, servers etc. But the seagrass is out of everyone's control. They worked all day,but it was a losing battle. We were able to go in the water a couple days ,and it was nice. But we knew what to expect. All in all,we had a great week, yes we heard complaints, and we know from our travels things happen. But we rolled with it,and we were going to make the best of it. We knew about the beaches,we were not going there to eat lobster and filet mignon every night,or drink the best liquors in the world. I really think some people need to relax and loosen up a little. Would we go back, maybe not but only because we so enjoy the beaches and the amazing colors you see in different countries. But you cannot take away the beautiful resort ,or the amazing staff who never stop trying to help. And lastly,we met some amazing people while we were there. Danielle and Shelley (i hope i have ylur name rigjt)from Hamilton were awesome, we sat with them at the pool, just great people. Matt and Karen from Maryland, you were just the nicest couple ever. My wife loved sitting and talking with you both. Rachel ,Doug and George from PEI,you were so nice to meet, and we will be seeing you this summer in PEI at your restaurant (the Cork and Cast). And lastly ,we were so lucky and unknowingly able to spend a week with 2 of my cousins, who i only see a couple times per year Monique,Lisa,Simon and LISA'S friends, you really made it a great week. Thanks to the hotel staff, and all the people we met ,it was a great trip. Go and enjoy yourselves, and just relax .
