Apr 21, 2025Beautiful week at the Royalton Bavaro
Despite a little rainy weather on our arrival day, and us not getting the 2 Queen Bedded Room we booked, we had a great time. The staff made up for it by sending a rolloway, so we were perfectly comfortable with 1 King, a rolloway and a sofa bed (family of 4). This resort had all the amenities, activities (Lazy River definitely a favorite!) and entertainment that we could wish for! There were plenty of restaurants, buffet options and bars. (Hunter’s Steakhouse, Rio and Hibachi were our top favorite) As Diamond Club guests we also enjoyed additional ocean side breakfast buffet and beach grill and exclusive Diamond Club pool and Club Lounge with all day snacks which our kids loved. Best of all were the staff that elevated our experience to a bespoke luxurious week: our butler Pedro, who arranged all our dining reservations to coincide with our friends, as well as a fabulous birthday surprise he arranged for my husband & joyous fan fair at dinner. Railin in the DC Palapas area, who took care of us, to make sure we had our beach chairs set up, towels & all. The friendly staff from check-in, club attendants, restaurant waiters, all great. Last but not least, our super fun & funny Zumba & aqua Fit instructor William! He is a gem!

Moms and teen kids trip
We had a Diamond Club reservation for a moms and daughters trip. Our butler was Kelvin - couldn’t have asked for a nicer person. Attentive and courteous! The resort was great. Plenty of activities for moms and the teens. The resort is big but that means you have variety of places to be. Definitely a perk to have diamond club breakfast at the beach end of the resort, however. The rooms weren’t perfect - some things needing repair. But Kelvin was on top of it and none of it prevented us from having a great vacation. The beach and pools and lazy river were all hits.

Apr 21, 2025Where is the zero star option? Not worth 1.
If you have ever experienced a real 5-star hotel, DO NOT go here. There are some friendly staff. Maybe 10% of them. The other 90% seem miserable and look like they wish you and they were not there. If your idea of a tropical island vacation is being treated like cattle and constantly packed in to overcrowded situations (food, pool, beach) then maybe you will love it. The hotel is so bad I could not even get myself a coffee in the morning without working for it. Bring good shoes. Everything is miles and miles apart in this terribly design, falling apart property. As others have noted, there is no point in complaining to the manager. They don’t care. There’s a line of people waiting to complain at all times. They try to offer you peanuts and ask you to sign waiver if you complain. DO NOT sign it. I could go on and on about how bad this place is. So bad that I won’t return to the DR period for a very long time if ever. Seems like tourism has ruined this place. I would rather spend a week in prison than go back here for 1 day.

Great resort for families!
This resort has a little bit of everything! We took a diamond club room and loved the space and modern decor of the room. Pedro was our butler and he was wonderful. We were a large group and he was very helpful in getting us dining reservations as well as helping with minor requests for our room. The entertainment and fitness teams were also great - both during the day and nightly shows. Highly recommend this resort for families!

Amazing vacation at Royalton Bavaro
We loved the resort. Accommodation's and service was excellent. Jesus our butler in diamond club was amazing. Roberto in the cabanas was incredible. They both made our vacation exceptional with attention to detail and amazing customer service. They both made my wife’s birthday memorable and special. We will be back!!!!
