Apr 13, 2025Royal Lahaina is a great bang for your buck
This resort is perfect if you want a lovely stay but don’t want to spend an obscene amount of money. Booking through Costco, we got free breakfast buffet with every morning (a real one, not like a hotel’s ‘continental’), and $50 daily credit we could spend anywhere on the resort. The staff was very friendly and super helpful if you needed it. The only slight downside, if I had to be picky, was that the shower is kind of small in our room. But I am unsure if that is a problem in each room. We had a partial beach view and I’m honestly glad it was only partial. To the left we had a gorgeous view of the mountain and to the right the Pacific Ocean. The rest of the room was nice too.

Wonderful Hawaiian Hotel
We just spent some time at the Royal Lahaina Resort and absolutely loved it. It felt like stepping back into the charm of old Hawai‘i—laid-back, warm, and full of aloha spirit. The hotel itself is beautiful, with a timeless feel, and the staff went above and beyond to make our stay special. Everyone was incredibly kind and welcoming. If you’re heading to Maui and want a place that’s both relaxing and authentically Hawaiian, I highly recommend staying here.

Maui Royal Lāhainā bliss
Staff is so welcoming, great location, swimmable beach and two pools, live music every night and walkable to many other resorts and restaurants. Pineapple Moon was a great bar to visit each day for happy hour. Main restaurant has the most amazing views.

The room was nice with a nice view we saw Wales from far. The Restaurant Staff was nice. This Hotel had everything you need. The WIFI was good. The breakfast for the price was basic. There is a nice sunset. The sea was a little wild when we stayed there it was not easy to swim.

Cozy and family
The check in and check out process was easy. You can check your bags before and after check out. The staff was helpful. The resort itself has a very independent feel as it is smaller then the nearby ones so it has less guests there. The staff members recognized us and knew us after a few days. Although not as popular or as big as other resorts, the food and service is excellent! The wing and ahi dip I will especially miss and could eat it everyday. They offer a breakfast buffet, not as great as lunch or dinner but also have breakfast menu to order from. Jonathan and chanel at the bar were the absolute best! They were happy to share history and ideas for our stay. Security and front desk were super helpful when we lost some personal items and we were able to get it back. Only negative was probably an old sandwich and sock found in the room, we weren't picky about it but I'm sure the service would of been happy to help if anything. Easy for housekeeping to miss. Service was excellent.
