DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY OR SANITY
DO NOT BOOK WITH THEM- where do I even start, because it is on the tourist strip you are going to get harassed and heckled everytime you leave your room. Within the hotel the service is garbage, you have to beg for towels and face clothes which unless you leave a tip for the cleaner and even then they don’t give you all the necessary toiletries for your room that are needed. The staff even though not all of them are grump and rude, the service is horrible and the premises is boring. They had a few nights of performances that were boring and repetitious, the pool closes at 5pm ( in what world) and there isn’t much else to do around the area unless you go off the resort and even then you are taking a chance a being harassed every breath you take. If you are coming to Jamaica to relax DO NOT BOOK with this resort. It is a stressful place to be if you are looking for the bare minimum service that we all paid for and deserve. We had to constantly go to the front desk and ask for bottled of water which they never stocked in our room, the red stripe was there on the first day only and never again to return. We ran out of toilet paper one day and went to the front desk where they lied and said they didn’t have any come to find out they did. Who lies about toilet paper? What a joke! This place is trash! Not worth any of your hard earned money, it will be a waste! Book elsewhere! Do not waste your time coming here. The food was mediocre at best, it was again very repetitive and bland , this is not a real Jamaican experience and it shows through the service that is given. We were told the management is run by Spanish company which makes sense because all we had in the rooms were presidente beer which is horrible. Everything is always out of stock and you have to wait for hours to get your room clean. We once got our rooms cleaned for the day shortly before 5pm (in what world) beyond all this negatives comments made, well really that’s it because there wasn’t many positives to state.

Very Disappointed This Time
My wife and I have been to the Royal Decameron a number of times, and have always found it great value for money. The things we like are, the size of the complex, with only 3 and 4 story buildings, the friendly and helpful staff, the fact that it is safe and secure, the nice variety of good food, and the close proximity to Bucerias. Most of those are still the same, but this visit we were disappointed with the food..The options were limited, repetitive, and lacked any kind of interesting options. They used to have a variety of specialty nights,...Mexican, International, etc., with tables set up on the grass, lots of entertainment, and a real effort was put put in to making the guest experience memorable. That no longer seems to exist. Yes, the food was never 5 star dining, but it was always presented with lots of variety, with a variety of different cooking stations in order to personalize your meal. You will still never go hungry, but something is sadly lacking and it was very disappointing! So much so that we are questioning whether we will return to the Royal Decameron any time soon. There are lots of resort a little furthter south in Nuevo Vallarta, and unfortunately they are a little further from Bucerias, but that may have to be the price we pay, next time around.

Try another place
First the good, good location, 3 floors, reasonable price, rooms are ok, good sports bar across the street, friendly staff, now the Bad, terrible wifi, terrible beach furniture, food for the most part was bad, would not recommend this place.

Oh How the Mighty Have Fallen
This place has taken a serious nosedive! I've been there a few times prior to Covid and it was simply amazing. Food Quality was spectular and the staff were fantastic. This last trip was absolutely terrible. Food was the worst I have ever seen at a resort and the room cleaning was disgusting. The pools were lightly skimmed at night, but the were filthy every day, the À la carte restaurants were seldom open (when they were, the food was amazing). I wouldn't set foot in this place again if you paid me!

Won’t return
Run down , disgusting dirty run down public washrooms, room run down with broken amenities( no lamp shade in room , just a bare light in the main room), bloody band aid stuck on bathroom wall our entire visit, shower didn’t drain well and grout was dirty in shower , food was the worst we have ever had, buffet food was poor, tasteless , cold. Grounds were maintained well, beach was not very clean , lots of sticks from shrimp skewers and empty cups, loungers were hard and horrible if you sat any length of time. We would not return to this property.
