Amazing from start to finish. Lovely helpful staff and reps. Lovely setting, spotlessly clean. (Staff constantly cleaning) Fabulous range of trips. You want for nothing. Will definitely visit again. 😃😃

Would go back in a heartbeat!!!!
I usually do not write reviews, but I wanted to flag the excellent customer service that I received during my 2 weeks stay in early August. My original room AC wasn’t working I flagged it to customer service. I kept getting calls and follow-ups especially Nayeli, she was amazing. I was truly impressed by the service of the staff throughout the hotel. We usually travel twice a year to all-inclusive down South, and this was probably the best service we got outside of Cuba at an all-inclusive. The hotel is beautiful and newly renovated, the food was above par for an all-inclusive, and we loved the steakhouse and left so full, that I needed a nap. The only small complaint was that the pool water was too hot, it felt like a hot tub some days when it did not rain. I know it was August but how can the smaller adult pool (with the bar) water be much cooler than the pool water at the Jalisco, what was the difference?

Stayed here for 2 weeks, it was beautiful the staff are great, would definitely come back. The only thing I would like to see change is the steak house menu, for a steak house it’s a very poor menu with only 1 steak to choose from and not a lot of sauces either, and it needs a children’s menu.

Relaxing fantastic family holiday
Fantastic stay at the Riu Vallarta, was everything perfect no, but the two problems we had were sorted immediately, the management are brilliant. The staff are great, names to mention, the wonderful wonderful Carmen in the restaurant we were in a party of 12 inc 2 babies every morning and afternoon she had a table ready with two highchairs, she is a lively caring lady and a credit to the hotel. Carlos looked after us in the evening and was fantastic. The entertainment staff work so hard all day credit to all of them in particular Cyntia and Avi. The rock show was brilliant, ABBA not so good but the luxury show was amazing. The food in general was great as a coeliac I got given a card stating no gluten, I only had to request a pizza or pasta and it was provided separately. The Italian restaurant is very very good. All in all the Rui Vallarta is a fabulous hotel and we had a great stay. Thank you to all the staff . I nearly forgot the maids are very very good , the rooms always clean.

Great hotel, lovely food, 5* staff! Located on a lovely beach.
We are in our 2nd week at this hotel. It is a great hotel. Firstly, like most of us that look on TripAdvisor before we book our holidays, we were a little nervous as to what to expect at Riu Vallarta. This is how it is for us, On entering the hotel for check in, we were greeted with ice cold towels to cool us down along with a glass of fizz, a lovely much needed touch! Checking in was a doddle and we up in our room within 5 minutes. A few minutes later the bags were brought up by the staff so we could get straight down to settling in. We have to say that the staff at this hotel are awesome, they can’t do enough for you! The room is big enough, we had a junior suite. I have to say that the bed is possibly the comfiest that I have ever slept in and I have stopped in a lot of hotels. The food at the buffet restaurant is really good. Plenty to chose from at breakfast, lunch and dinner. If anything, as daft as it sounds, maybe a bit too much to chose from. We have 2 fussy eating kids and they have loved it, been loads for them to eat. We have so far done the Steak, Asian and Italian themed restaurants. The Italian one was our favourite so far, but they are all very good. The filet beef was awesome in the Italian.!! The drinks are really good if you like spirits and cocktails. The one negative I will say is that the beer/lager is not very good at all, I only really drink beer/lager so this is a big downside for me. Even the cans of beer/lager in the mini fridge are not very nice. So, if there is any advice I can give to Riu., please swap over to Corona as that would be a massive improvement. The mini fridge is stocked really well with all the other drinks along with 4 spirits hanging above it. The beach is lovely. There is a hut selling the usual inflatables, buckets etc. Also coming along the beach are people selling hats, tops, rides (horse, jet ski’s and parasailing) etc. They take a polite no thank you and off they go, they never hassle you. One of the best things about this hotel is the no smoking/vaping policy (there are designated ares). Sorry smokers! But its been great that no matter where we are, there is no smoke smell around us, no tab ends in the sand on the beach or anything. Well done Riu for this. We have loved the holiday and would recommend it to anyone.
