Hotel Spring Break Policies :
1. Student / Spring Breaker Groups (21 years of age or older) will be accepted ONLY at Riu Santa Fé hotel.
2. All Student / Spring Breaker Group reservations are strictly On Request and will be reviewed on a case by case basis by the corresponding Destination Sales Department. RIU Hotels & Resorts reserves the right of admission and may reject any request at its sole discretion.
3. If a Student / Spring Breaker Group is accepted:
a. The number of rooms will be deducted from the contracted allotments
b. Minimum Age requirement: 21 years of age or older.
c. The Hotel may request proof of age in the form of passport or official ID
d. Each room must submit a signed liability agreement upon check-in.
4. At all other RIU properties Student Groups / Spring Breakers (either groups or individuals, regardless of age) are not allowed at any time during the year.
5. Guests disturbing or generating complaints from other guests or hotel may be removed from the property, at their own expense.

Jan 16, 2025Can't believe this is a RIU! What a mess
1. We reserved a suite on 4/5/2024 and extended 1 night early; total (8 days). When we arrived we were told no suites are available because we extended the stay, our reservation was canceled. So they told us a great corner room was available and they reduced the price of the reservation. The room was horrible it smelled of mold and the room was dirty. The nearby entertainment stage's music vibrated windows way past 11:30 pm. There was no working elevator so my wife who is 68 years old had to carry 2 suitcases up the steps. I am a 72 year old handicapped man and could not help her. The next day we talked to the desk staff and were talked down to and he made like he could not understand our problem. He then left the desk to talk to a man behind the counter and then told us to come back at 2 pm and they'd give use a third floor room away from the noise. At 2 pm that room was not available then they gave use a room first floor #0336. The hallway wreaked of sewage and the room smelled of mold again but it was clean. A couple I talked to they checked in the same day as us 01/05/2025 but checked in later than us told me that they could be upgraded to a suite for just 60.00 American dollars cash. Can't say that was true but I can believe it 3. The Steakhouse closest to room 0336: I had to stand in line to make a reservation(what the hell was that about at a 4 to 5 star resort). The Maitre d was very rude. Again when we arrived at the restaurant he was very rude, pointed to a table and left. I never got the drink I ordered, when I asked for it, about 10 minutes later the Maitre d got angry and sarcastic. The steakhouse was always a least have empty, so why the need for reservations. 4. Pools were always dirty and water cloudy. 5. The whole resort was in total disarray. We have stayed at six or seven RIU's and never has one been this dysfunctional. 6. 7 out of 8 people got sick (Food?) I could go on and on .................

I had an amazing experience at Hotel Riu Republica! The resort exceeded all my expectations, offering a perfect combination of relaxation and fun. The location on Arena Gorda Beach is absolutely stunning, with soft sand and crystal-clear water. The room was spacious, clean, and well-equipped with everything I needed for a comfortable stay. The variety of restaurants was impressive—each meal felt like a culinary adventure, and I especially loved the gourmet and Indian cuisines. The staff were incredibly friendly and attentive, always ensuring I had everything I needed. The entertainment was a highlight of my trip! The themed beach parties and live shows were so much fun, and the lively atmosphere around the pools kept the energy up throughout the day. For those looking to relax, the spa was a slice of heaven. Overall, Hotel Riu Republica is perfect for anyone seeking a vibrant, adults-only getaway with top-notch service. I can’t wait to come back!

So it all depends on what you’re looking for! Definitely a party resort, I had a great room. The room was clean however, the hallways need work asap. The elevator was broke the whole 4 days I was there. The house keepers were super loud in the mornings. Make sure you explore the whole resort! There are so many food options but the best was the jerk chicken shack by the pools. The service was great. They had great hospitality & were very friendly. Again, had a great time just only thing was it was very loud at every time of the day & night but it was expected due to looking at other previous reviews before going.

Just going to start by saying, I would NOT recommend this resort to a friend. The pools itself were fine… just could use a little updating & better up keeping. -Rooms are old & feel dirty. There isn’t a 2nd safety lock on room doors. Ants in the room. Only 2 thin sheets on bed so we’re freezing at night using towels. Heard two people say they switched rooms 3&4 times due to mold & cockroaches. -Room TV didn’t work, outlets didn’t work -Food is bad besides 2 resteraunts and it was still mediocre -I didn’t feel safe at night due to the room lock situation. -We witnessed a resort employee selling hard drugs to a vacationeer. -Room cleaners started around 7am being VERY loud in the hallways. Overall, we were very disappointed soon as we arrived. We debated switching our flight to leave early.

Jan 14, 2025January Queen 2025 Birthday Trip
Birthday celebration with a total of 12 ladies. The staff were all friendly and helpful. Have done many cruises, 1st time doing an all inclusive resort and felt although the buffet restaurants could have been better with selections and warmth of food and colder drinks .even the steakhouse food was cold and rushed. The Jerk chicken stand was awesome !! The rooms was hottt and the AC wasn’t producing any air , did go and ask the guest desk but no results. Nice resort however didn’t see any flowers planted give the grounds more life. More lighting in the walkways to rooms . Resort is a nice resort but was not inform to download the RIU app or maybe didn’t understand that app is the perfect guide on navigation thru out the resort and all the amenities offered..
