AMAZING GIRLS TRIP
This was surely amazing trip. I did our annual girls trip and this is my birth certificate island so I was please.. Food.. 10/10 Entertainment 10/10 Beach 10/10 Service 10/10 Front Desk Staffs 10/10 If I wrote a bad comment I know God will punish me.. Our girls trip was super amazing. Even with a little rain we made the best of it. The nightly show was amazing They had a Michael Jackson show well done They had a silent party. My first one.. LOVE IT .. Dance Hall on the beach AMAZING. Also the fact you have access to Riu Montego was a plus.. Thanks RIU Raggae for for a memorable trip. Until next time ..

Went for my friends 50th Birthday and the food was good, friendly staff, lots of entertainment, and nice room. Beach was nice and clean and well kept up. Even when it rained it was ok we still had fun. The ladies that helped with the excursions were very informative.

Great time at Riu Reggae
OVERALL: Second time at this resort and will definitely be coming back! Didn't write a review the first time so this will be a combination of the two visits (May 2024 & September 2024) Service is amazing and everyone is so nice and welcoming. First time traveled just a group of 2 and the second time went in a small group. This is definitely a party resort (18+ - no kids, yay!) but if you are just looking to relax you can certainly find some time to unwind and it's a great place if you're looking to do both. We frequent Riu resorts quite often in a few different locations and we really love this resort. It's the perfect size that it's a smaller resort but with the use of Riu Montego Bay you can certainly find a crowd if you'd like (don't miss the Riu Party that happen on on Fridays). CHECK IN/OUT: The first time we stayed here our room wasn't ready and we kept being told "10 minutes" - which ended up being 3 hours. We were on vacation, so we didn't mind we just wished we took advantage and left the lobby area to explore during this time. The second time we came, we arranged a private shuttle from the airport and pre-asked for early check in which they were able to accommodate. We ended up getting a ground floor room and has 2 rooms which we were able to get them to be at least on the same floor. Everyone at the front desk is super nice and they were as helpful as they could be throughout the whole process but check on your flight times vs. check in just to potentially have to wait. Not a complaint just a tip! Checkout was a breeze - takes 2 minutes max. BAR: Bartending team is top notch. They're great at asking "who's next" to ensure you're served in a timely manner. They remember you and make your trip to the bar easy! Akeem during the day is the best. We really enjoyed chatting with him - loved him and he can make a stellar drink. Winston at night is also superb, he's so great will dance with the bottle on his head. Super engaging. Truly the entire crew rock it day in and day out. It can get pretty busy and they do a great job with the crowd and keep the party going. The lobby bar is 24 hours too so if you're out late or an early riser there is always a bar open. They have large water jugs at each bar too -- which is great to just grab a cup and hydrate without having to wait in line. Tip: if you're asking for a liquor shot ask for it chilled. They chill the pre-made shots - which are great, just lots of sugar FOOD: Food is great. No complaints during breakfast and lunch services lots of variety and accommodations for dietary restrictions. We enjoyed a combination of the buffet and al la cartes for dinner. All the specialty restaurants are good (you book these on the app), we ate at all of them throughout our two stays and the buffet always has a good variety and never a shortage of food. The jerk chicken hut on the beach is great - definitely make sure to check that out during your visit. ROOMS: Our first visit - as mentioned above - we had to wait a long time for it to be ready. And then once it was ready, we didn't have towels the first day. Even asking for it to be brought to us in the app. Other than that, the room cleaning was great. Rooms cleaned and we were in room 2018 which we loved the location for being right by the buffet/beach, the view wasn't ideal but we only were in our room to sleep and get ready. The second time we came here. We had 2 different rooms. We were on the ground floor room 128 and 131 which we also enjoyed this location as it was close to the beach - this was great for going quickly to the room to grab something quick. No complaints for our rooms. We spend the money to be outside and enjoying the resort so we thought they were great. Clean, well maintained, had everything you'd need. Download the app and request extra blankets - our air conditioning was working well both times we were there so it was great to add a blanket at night while sleeping. Just download the app anyway - it's a great resource to use for what is going on and what's happening and you book your reso's etc etc. ENTERTAINMENT: Entertainment team are phenomenal. Top notch talent in this group. We had so much fun getting to know them throughout the week (x2) and they are all genuinely nice, smart, good, talented people. They really do it all - they work LONG days - put in full energy to each and every guest, activity and performance. We love participating in activities so each day there is something different. We learned some new games, taught them some games too! We like to stay busy, so they all made our vacation(s) so fun. However, if you do NOT like participating in activities/games, don't let this deter you from this place. They'll walk around and chat with you, but if you're not interested in participating, they do not bug you like they sometimes do at other resorts. They just will check in and see if you need anything or just say hi to you. They spend all day in the sun hosting activities/sports or teaching the dances then they put on these crazy good shows. Their athleticism is admirable and the shows are super engaging and worth checking out. Typical resorts have a separate team that does the shows, but you're watching the same people who hosted ping pong do flips on stage in the same day. Big shoutout to Spade 45, Gabi, Brittany, Toothpick, Bubbles and Afro. Everyone on the team is amazing. OVERALL: Highly recommend this resort. If you're looking for good vibes, good food, good drinks and good people. Don't hesitate to book this place. Can't wait to book my return.
