I could not fault it...Everything about the Hotel is A1..Bedrooms are spacious, clean and comfortable..Beds and pillows are as good as you can get...The shower was a bit awkward at times...Diffult to regulate an acceptable temperature ..Food and drink were all inclusive and faultless..

    Weeks break

We stayed here for a week, a lot of the reviews mention ‘the quiet side’ of the hotel, we were in this side and personally did not find it quiet at all! I was woken up several nights in a row at 3am by screaming children and then again at 7am by children running past the rooms, definitely not quiet at all and like other reviews have said it’s quite a walk from the main part of the hotel. We found breakfast to be the best meal with different options including pancakes and churros. The evening meal was the same every night except the meat, we found this quite boring so we ate out at a local Indian which was nice. We booked the Asian restaurant which was the best meal we had in the time staying there. It’s quite a walk to Puerto Del Carmen but there are bikes and e scooters available to hire nearby. You can also walk to the bottom of the runway which is about a 40min walk. We didn’t have any trouble getting a sunbed even at midday time. The bar is 24hours which is good and there are 2 snack bars which do things like chips, hot dogs and burgers. Overall it is a nice hotel but the food definitely let it down unfortunately!

Riu by name not by nature.

Let’s start with the positives. Close to the airport so transfer is quick The entrance looks really nice, there are lots of sunbeds, pool entertainers and Riu land/kids club entertainers really nice and professional. Art club really good. Mojitos very nice. The location very good close to the beach and essential shops. We went to Rancho water park and I would definitely go there it was reasonably priced and really clean a great day out and less than €5 in a taxi. Accessibility for wheelchair users is good. Ok the reasons I wouldn’t return… When we arrived in the evening our rooms were full of insects, there were mosquitoes in my mums room we must have killed around 10 in the first 15 minutes. Other fruit fly like bugs, probably about 5/6. Behind the curtain was a giant spider in a web. In our room there seemed to be less insects, until the morning when we got up and the dresser was covered in tiny white bugs, when we opened the curtains there was a cockroach in the corner. We packed up and got moved rooms. The pool…no floats are allowed, kids are not really welcomed to play in the pools even though they are quiet once aquafit has finished in the mornings. We were told piggy in the middle weren’t allowed even though the pool was empty. The food is really on repeat. Breakfast is probably the best but lunch and dinner is the same every day almost. Pasta/pork chops/new potatoes/pizza/chips/vegetables/bread Burgers/hotdogs We booked the Asian restaurant for my mums and daughter’s birthday. I asked could they do anything like a cake/candle/ anything but the lady said no we don’t. Absolute useless we should have went out to a restaurant instead. The food is just practically the same as the main restaurant with the odd slight difference (spring rolls/prawn crackers) The following day my husband had a bad stomach, vomiting and 💩 all day. We walked up the road and ate out on night 6. Wouldn’t bother booking the Asian restaurant. The rooms are tired, as is most of the hotel aside from the reception/ restaurant and pool areas. The TV Chanels are useless mostly in Spanish no good if you need to go to bed early with kids. The cats 🐈‍⬛ they are all over the grounds. If you don’t like cats then don’t book here. If This is not a hotel for young families. Kids aren’t allowed to play in the pools freely with floats/toys. There is no music poolside. The poolside toilets are very clean though. If you are not fussy about food and accommodation and are 65-80 this place might be up your street. Our group… 2 kids 3 adults very disappointed

This hotel is all you would expect from a 4 * hotel. Good food, very clean and loads of sunbeds. But, if you go there with children over the age of 6 especially if you have teenagers, there is nothing for them to do in the evening. The pool situation is absurd with no inflatables allowed in any of the 4 pools. People can throw any size ball around but kids are not allowed an inflatable ring. This is a strange hotel as it seems to cater for family's but the rest of the guest's here look at children as if they shouldn't be at this hotel. I wouldn't return with or without a family as there are plenty of adult only hotels to choose from if that's what you want.
