First trip to Bahamas
Our stay at the RIU was amazing. We picked it because its all inclusive and so glad we did! All the staff was amazing and very accommodating, it’s very clean, and being oceanfront made it perfect. We enjoyed being there.

First let me say we have been to this property 5 different times with family and friends and Love the location and the staff. I do have a few things tho, 1st the bed was NOT comfortable. 2nd they need to label the food better, I am allergic to shellfish and the close proximity was nerve racking. 3rd The calypso room that held the shows was too acoustically loud, people were just leaving and it was unfortunate because it was the only thing to do. Perhaps more entertainment, a game room or dancing could be incorporated. 4th was the situation on the beach; The vendors who were trying to get you to jet ski, buy bags, braid hair and drink a coconut drink were over whelming, distracting and way too much. Lastly was the trash on the beach. Dear Riu there is such a thing as paper straws and I would suggest having your employees cleaning up the trash on your beautiful beach instead of socializing with the vendors who were harassing your guests. That all being said we would return because of the attentive staff, cleanliness of the rooms, restaurants, the beautiful scenery and value of entire stay.

Disappointing. Unable to get restaurant reservations "full" on arrival. Buffet selections not good. Diarrhea x2 days after eating in buffet. Toilet in room continually running, needed new flapper. Handicapped bar next to toilet falling off the wall. After asking cleaning staff these issues were taken care of. Desk staff rude. Pool bar staff were incredible, 24 h bar not so much. Continual problems with nonfunctional room keys. From 1 year ago place has gone downhill. Would not recommend.

We had a party of 8 we had a Great!! Staff was wonderful!!! Lots of fun at the hotel and the beach was nice!!
