    Magnificent resort that’s very affordable

    I started falling in love with this resort when I entered the gorgeous lobby. Irving, the reception desk was still friendly and helpful. With my RIU GOLD membership we were a premium room with a magnificent ocean view. Excellent dining too!

    Lovely hotel and staff

    Just finished a two week holiday at this lovely hotel. The hotel is well situated and has some great attributes. The food was great, we had meals at several of the al la carte restaurants, Japanese, Asian, steak and fusion, all really good. We used the quieter pool, limited beds left after 0830. The staff here are absolutely fantastic, clean uniforms and very well presented, each and every one, immaculate and incredibly polite and helpful. Would like to give a special thanks to the following members of staff: Conni - main Bar Paula - main bar Lorena - main bar Adrian (You can do it.)- Main Bar Martin room cleaner…great job. Saulo. Buffet restaurant, brilliant service every time! Drinks package very good. We were a group of 5 and always tipped for every round of drinks that was brought to us, a couple of dollars is fine. For our service at meals we left $20, they really appreciate getting tipped. Unfortunately we witnessed an assassination on the beach, 10 meters away, we can’t un-see what we saw that day, it marred our stay. It’s nothing that the hotel could do anything about it but it happened and will prevent us from coming back, Mexico is a beautiful country but can be a little unstable. Tip for management. You have an amazing pianist in the main bar playing classical and pop music. Unfortunately, because of where the piano is located, only 50% of seated people can see him. Maybe consider moving the piano to give more people the opportunity to see him play. I wish you well in the future.

    For the Matured Traveller

    RIU Palace Las America is an all inclusive resort for the matured traveler. Designed for adults. If you want a place to relax away from noisy kids and families, this is the place for you. Only down part is the room service is very limited. Since they have a buffet open between 7am and 11 pm a full menu or more substantive menu could be accommodated. 3 pools, ocean view, good size rooms. Enjoyed my stay.
