Another great stay
Second time n two years that we've stayed at this resort. Both times were excellent, with zero problems. facilities are spotless, service from all staff members was outstanding, price was very reasonable, and the pools and beach were magnificent. Two of the best vacations I've ever had. First year, we barely left the resort grounds, but this year we wandered around the Hotel Zone market areas, and took a day trip to Isla Mujeres, which was also excellent. The markets were like surfing the internet, with every vendor constantly spamming you to enter their shop and buy. They were all friendly though. We found some neat stuff and just generally had a great time in both market areas. The only downside is the new smoking ban but as a tobacco addict, I was able to indulge this nasty habit from time io time in the hotel smoking areas and tucked away from view when in public. Really not a big deal. 10 out of 10 will go again, and we will be looking at Riu propoerties for trips to other locations..

Spectacular stay
This was the second time for booking at this hotel. Staff is always alert with whatever need you have, clean, good food, great pool time, perfect location, and the beach was fantastic. Looking forward to stay number 3 in the future.

NOISE, NOISE, NOISE, and more NOISE!!!!
I am a regular traveller and can honestly say that this is the worst holiday I have had for many years. I blame RIU and TUI for their inaccurate description of this hotel. In fact they should look up the words sophisticated and luxury as neither one of these applies to this hotel. I always try to book adult only as I don't want screaming kids. I didn't get screaming kids, instead I got screaming, shrieking adults?? This hotel caters for the 18/34 party goers. Hen, stag and groups of party people. No mention of this on the websites. This holiday cost a lot of money and I feel totally ripped off. At 7 a.m. the 2 infinity pools certainly are beautiful and look like the pictures on the websites. By 11 a.m. the main pool is a no go area and the screamy, shouty d.j. encourages the people around the main pool (the one with the facilities that are supposed to add an air of sophisticated luxury - hysterical laughter!) to 'make more noise' then the screaming, shrieking, shouting begins with the music volume being cranked up as the day goes on. There was just no outdoor space where you could escape from the noise. I tried the far end of the beach (but not right at the end as you are likely to get hit by a volley ball!) but still annoying thudding bass. Also the buffet restaurant for lunch is directly over the main party pool so not a pleasant experience. Just eat as fast as you can and get out. Fortunately I had a pair of good quality noise reduction ear buds which I used as ear plugs. A couple of days even these didn't work and I had to walk approx. 1/2 mile along the bay before I could no longer hear the thumping music and sat on the beach at a neighbouring hotel which was far more civilised. The evenings didn't fare much better with a shouty compere in the outdoor theatre area wanting more noise from the hotel guests. Again no other outdoor bar to get away from it. I don't spend thousands on a holiday in the sun to be forced to sit in an air conditioned lobby to get away from the noise. The torture didn't stop there. Later on the door slamming started with people shouting or having drunken arguments. If you are selfish, self centre, have no respect for other people; like swilling beer/sugary cocktails all day; enjoy shouting, screaming, shrieking, using bad language and listening to thumping music (oh and don't forget the slamming doors) you will love this hotel. If, however, like me you like real 'grown up' adult only resorts that do deserve the descriptions of 'sophisticated and luxury', where they have good day and evening entertainment with the option to join in or chill out and chat to fellow travellers in quieter outdoor spaces (not the lobby!) then avoid this hotel like the plague! Sorry but there was nothing enjoyable about this hotel (except full marks to the guys clearing the seaweeds). Food was bland. I have stayed in far better 5 star hotels. This is not 5 star. It was the holiday from hell plus to add to my bad experience I tested positive for covid on my return. When I travel I usually go home having made new friends all I got here was germs and bad memories! Will never go back to this hotel and will advise civilised people to avoid it. In fact after wasting my money I may never stay in another RIU as they cannot be trusted to give an accurate description of the property to manage expectations. I have hated writing this review as it is just so negative but I feel I have to warn people. I usually give balanced reviews but after 2 weeks at RIU being battered with noise I just didn't see anything good. My only good experience was a trip to Isla Contoy, a beautiful quiet island with crystal clear waters and a great group of people from different countries on the boat (no-one from my hotel - bonus). My usual travel experiences are normally like this. Sadly it was only 1 day.

The best service ever
So satisfying the best waiters ever, especially RIGO and EDER, they took very good care of us. The chef that makes the omelette in Roberto’s was very friendly, all other waiters in Roberto’s were the best

Best place ever
This place is absolutely IMMACULATE.. as a native to Mexico (just not born) I was blown away… not just by the appearance of the hotel and the room (which are absolutely breathe taking and the room was just amazing) the hotel staff are extremely friendly (especially SANTIAGO who is a greeter there.. made sure our trip was unforgettable) and the entertainment staff: Miguel, Isabel, Jeny, Alex, Jonny, and the one who I would strictly refer to as “ojos bonitos”. aswell as the room keeper Oscar who was a doll. They are the reason everyone leaves sad because no one ever wants to go home! It’s a good thing!!!! The restaurants are incredibly versatile and appeal to anyone from anywhere and the clientele was universal so never a dull moment. I absolutely adore the people there and the stunning resort. I now call it my palace <3 the beach is pristine and if you’re looking for a mess: you won’t find one here (not even a bug) these people take pride in what they do and run that stunning establishment as a well oiled machine. CANT WAIT TO SEE YOU GUYS AGAIN!!! I could go on for hours about this place but I’m pretty sure that coming from a restaurant owner aswell as a beach club owner (which they had 0 idea about by the way) I was blown away. Shout out to the pool bartender Luis and the Le Nuit bartender Ernesto <3
