A great all inclusive resort not to be missed
I admit this is the first all inclusive resort I’ve ever been to so I have no other ones to compare it to but I can tell you my husband and I thoroughly enjoyed our six day five night stay. Our room was beautiful and so thoughtfully appointed. Our room was large with a king size bed, pull out couch, large flat screen tv, balcony with chairs overlooking one of at least two pools and the ocean. The air conditioner was fantastic. It could be set down to 18 C (I learned that’s 66F) which was really important to us because we have to sleep in a cold room. The room also included a dresser, coffee table, generous closet with multiple hangers, a safe and a large bathroom. The free minibar included several bottles of alcohol (I can’t tell you what they were since we really don’t drink much), large bottles of water, sodas, and Mexican beers. There was a coffee maker with coffee. The mini bar was stocked every two days. Our room was well insulated and we didn’t hear our neighbors. The grounds were beautiful as were the pools. They were luxurious. Several tours were offered (those you paid for but well worth it). There are several different restaurants on site to choose from, a buffet with so much to offer, Japanese, Indian, Italian, French fusion and a steak house. If I had one suggestion to make it would be to include a Mexican restaurant as the Mexican cuisine is unique and so good. The staff - there are just not enough good things I can say about the staff. They are excellent. They never failed to smile and greet us with a genuine Hola, quick to anticipate our needs and were always professional from housekeeping to reception - just excellent. This resort is a family resort and as such does include a children’s pool, evening program etc. We didn’t see rowdy misbehavior from adults or children, obnoxious drunks etc. just families and couples enjoying themselves. Getting to and from the airport can be confusing. It is approximately a 45 minute drive. Since we made our reservations through a third party we had to get our own transportation to the hotel and that was a bit unnerving.

Nice stay
It was a good trip. Food was good and rooms were clean. Staff were accommodating. Would recommend to offer room to family with small kids in the part of resort that is far from party area. I changed our room when we requested which was much better fit for us. I would recommend to start the kids show at 7 pm since most toddlers and kids go to bed around 8 pm. Nice budget friendly stay!

A Honest MOMs Review of RIU CABO
We just got back from the Riu Palace Cabo San Lucas, and I wanted to share our experience for families considering this resort. As a mom with three young kids—a 4-year-old, a 2-year-old, and a 3-month-old—finding a place that truly caters to families is always a priority, and the Riu Palace had some memorable highlights. From the moment we arrived on Saturday, the staff made us feel welcome. After a long flight, we headed straight to the buffet. While the food wasn’t exactly five-star, there were some bright spots—particularly the fajita chicken and pesto pasta at the lunch buffet. Honestly, the food was a bit of a roll of the dice, but it got us through. The real standouts of this resort are the stunning views and the entertainment. Whether it was enjoying the ocean backdrop from the Italian restaurant, savoring breakfast with a view, or simply relaxing on our balcony, the scenery was incredible. It’s a postcard-perfect setting. If you’re coming for the beach, though, you may want to think twice. We were warned by many individuals not to go into the ocean due to dangerous conditions, so it’s not exactly a place where the family can splash around in the surf. However, this is where the nearby water park comes to the rescue! My kids had an absolute blast on the water slides at the sister resort. The walk there is a bit long, but once you see their excitement, you’ll know it’s worth every step. Even my husband and I couldn’t resist trying out the bigger slides at Water World—we all had a fantastic time! The kids' club staff were also fantastic. My oldest adored the team there, and my two-year-old couldn’t get enough of the nightly kids' show. Watching him dance on stage with the resort’s mascot, a friendly dancing turtle, was one of the best parts of the trip. These shows start at 8 p.m., and they were such a hit that our kids were ready to turn in for the night afterward. We didn’t catch the adult shows, but from the glimpses we saw, the performers were top-notch. One surprise was the high cost of the resort’s photo packages. While they took some beautiful pictures, the prices were much steeper than expected, which made it hard to justify the splurge. I’d also like to mention the integrity of the staff, as we’ve read concerns about theft in other reviews. My husband has a gold chain necklace with a cross that’s been with him for nine years, and he accidentally lost it during our stay. Incredibly, a staff member who works at the kids' show found it and returned it, which meant the world to us. In summary, while the food and drinks weren’t the most impressive and the ocean in front of the resort isn’t great for families, the Riu Palace Cabo San Lucas has a lot to offer. The staff’s kindness, the breathtaking views, and the fantastic entertainment really make it shine. This was our first trip to Cabo, and our family of five had a wonderful time.

Wonderful time
We only stayed 3 nights but absolutely loved our swim up sweet. The staff was so friendly and the property was very clean. I only wish we could have stayed longer.
