Our stay at the RIU Palace Antillas
The outside areas (pool and beach) are beautiful and extremely clean. The inside areas are also beautiful and clean. The entertainment was very low quality and sparsely attended. The food was bountiful and had a good variety, but was simply okay in taste.

Don’t go, especially not in Aruba
Apparently sea view means parking lot view that you can see the ocean if you crane your head around the wall. Booked king bed, got two twins. How romantic. Did online check in but still had to wait in line and do it all again when we arrived. They need to get sound proof balcony doors. Noise from this resort, the one next door and random fireworks at all hours. No hot water in shower the first day. Called our room at night to check on our stay, waking us up. No waiters on the beach, have to walk to the pool bar constantly. WiFi was terrible and kept kicking us off. WILL NEVER COME BACK TO ARUBA. Flight home delayed 10 hours then finally cancelled. The airport closed for the night and literally kicked 100 people out on the street at 11pm with nowhere to go. Every hotel called said they were full or wouldn’t give you a room if you didn’t stay there during your trip. Had to taxi back to Riu where we were lucky to get a room for one night. Which they ripped us off and charged $600 to use a room for less than 6 hours. Have another Riu booked in March in Jamaica. Probably going to cancel if we can find a different resort.

Horrible experience
I have food allergies tried to address it with Carlos the manager but he ignored it and didn’t care nothing about it’s Rooms was dirty, no bodywash for over 2 days , couldn’t get towels when we requested it. Lines to restaurants very long and if you won’t get in line at list 30 min before restaurant opens you won’t be able to get in. Can’t get reservations to the restaurant

RIU Antillas
I was in between giving a 4 or a 5 star for my stay. I’m only half way through my stay and it has been pretty great. First day the buffet wasn’t good but every other , especially the lunch were great. The adults isn’t really a party scene so that is good information to know. I haven’t been to the pool yet but doesn’t seem to be a lot of entertainment. It’s annoying for people to reserve their chairs at 6 am when sometimes they don’t even come back. The liquor choices have been the best ones out of all the RIU’s I’ve been to. It was my birthday and they put up balloons and a little gift in my room which was amazing(I did have to remind them more than 5 times but when I told the concierge she took care of it. One thing to note is you must have cash for taxis. The only entertainment that was good was a trio band that plays on Mondays and Wednesdays. Definitely worth it seeing them and wished they played more! If you want to watch any sports you have to go next door, and it isn’t that great. They should put the TVs in the main bar on for sports instead more advertisements for their hotel. That is probably the biggest reason why I didn’t give this a hotel a 5. But totally worth coming here if you have never been to Aruba.

Hotel Riu for adults only
Locks did not work properly. Mold smell in bathroom and hallway..TV remote and screen did not work well. Fridge did not work well. We paid for an ocean view and got a really low floor and just saw the roof of the building. No lights on the balcony. Gym not open 24 hours. Hard to get beach Palapas. Drain clogged in shower
